Great tip. However I notice there's a gamma level increase in the video upon entering the time-line where the watermark is set to appear (Straight Alpha applied) with the newly exported watermarked video (Both Quicktime/MP4).
This is a pretty cool tutorial but wouldn't it be much simpler to just add a title in iMovie or FCP and then turn down the opacity so it resembles a watermark?
Yo, on my last macbook pro I had quick time pro, i made a disk image of it, transferred to my new machine but No quicktime pro. Just asked me for the key again. I don't have it. My machine is gone. What can I do?
You don't need the program to take a picture. Not on mac. On mac you do "Command - Shift - 4" at the same time to take a picture.

adding this reduced the video quality greatly, other than that it worked awesomely
any tips for the quality downgrade?
Thanks
douggard 3 years ago
What did you save the video file as?
MacTipper 3 years ago
.mov
the quality drop happens even before i save it though
if i run it along side the original the change in video quality and audio sync is noticeable...
i just had an idea though, i was using a very large image and scaling it down, ill try scaling it down prior to import
thanks for the response

It could also be that it is rendering on the fly. So, if you save/export it, the video quality might become normal again.
MacTipper 3 years ago
yea, i just downsized the image and re-imported to the video, it works great now
also there is a noticeable difference when i use straight alpha and straight alpha blend
thanks for the great tutorial!

No I, unfortunately, did not make it. I'm not that talented. I got it from:
derekaudette (dot) ottawaarts (dot) com/index2 (dot) php
You'll need to click on "Music" at the top of the page and then scroll down to "Just got feet don't got shoes!"
Direct link to music file:
derekaudette (dot) ottawaarts (dot) com/music/Just_Got_Feet_Dont_Got_Shoes_125BPM_lowqual (dot) mp3
(Replace every " (dot) " with .)
