I was approximately a month old at the time of these adverts. That is probably the earliest Trio advert I have ever seen. It was those animated adverts later that decade that caught my attention to try out those brand of chocolate biscuits.
There was another version with 3 coppers standing behind 3 theives in striped shirts with "Swag" written on their bags. In turn, each copper said "Ello" "Ello" "Ello". "What's" "All" "This then?". The theives replied: "It's a fair cop." "cop." "cop."
This has to be Saturday 21st March 1981, from the first of the two seasons when ITV showed football highlights on Saturday night (which ultimately didn't work out anywhere near as well as they'd hoped).
YTV covered Leeds v Wolves, one of Martin Tyler's last for them, and the other ITV games were ManU-Ipswich, Sunderland-Coventry, WBA-Forest, Norwich-Arsenal and Tottenham-Villa - so no Yorkshire teams playing away. I suspect they showed Granada and LWT's matches as those affected the title.
Trio- isn't one of those cleaners the granny in the "hot granny " Shredded wheat knitting adverts???!!!

Talbot Solara...£4grand ???? Seems to me that the prices of cars has gone down in terms of inflation/quality...
1982...most things about 6 times what they cost then? e.g pint of beer about 60p...now £3.60....loaf of bread, 20p...now £1.20....
that means a Talbot Solara would be £24 000 worth of car at today's prices...any takers? lol
