And the reality- most 8 y.o. kids are not this pleasant in a dental chair regardless of what is being used. Also, notice we never see the size or xray of the actual cavity being removed. While the technology is out there, it is not yet an all-inclusive solution. There are ideal lesions where the Waterlase is excellent; most of which would not require anesthetic anyways. There are also less than ideal situations requiring deeper cavity preparations done with a traditional handpiece and bur.

@mjrwoody33 i believe its' not the procedure, its' the attitude of the dentist

and somehow i dont think we should pre-judge someone based on their age, if a child has a pleasant natured dentist then maybe they'll be able to deal with getting a filling better, plus there are adults out there who behave worse than the kids wen it comes to the dentist
