Yes...i love my people!!! As a Brazilian i see that every thing that comes from outside here is great and every thing that is born here is curse, evil or whatever. Só se conhece o Santo Daime tendo a experiência com o Santo Daime... para tirar as conclusões individuais, basta cada um consagrar essa bebida em uma igreja de Santo Daime durante um trabalho para saber. Não se conhece Santo Daime pela experiência alheia, pois ele se mostra a cada um de uma forma diferente e bem particular.

Thank you. The Santo Daime tradition is my favorite example of syncretism.  I would also like to see mention of the studies that show participants in this religion get smarter and become better citizens.

Smarter? Maybe more condicioned and less able to create critical thoughts, not smarter.

They ARE smarter. in TPQ tests they resulted less inclined to depression, alcoholism, drug abuse, and behavioural disorders and in the neuro-psychiatric tests they resulted smarter than a control group.
