@Snnijp i could see how a sequel could diminish the firsts greatness, and miyazaki isnt rly one for sequels, he knows how to tell an excellent story i dont rly think a sequel would be required since this one is already perfect and legendary

@jenova94 I agree. Chihiro's goal was finished. Her goal was to get her parents back and back to normal of course. The moral of the story is its ok to try out new things and make new friends. I mean thats pretty much life. Thats why there isn't a sequel. The movie started and ended perfectly. Great movie :)

@shaneseyy exactly making a sequel would be pointless, the only way i can see any way of it happening is chihiro's kid or another kid, having chihiro go back their would totally diminish the purpose of the original story, i hope ghibli doesn't have a cartoon sub-sidiary that makes an unnecessary sequel like disney had with all their original movies, and yes very excellent movie :)

@jenova94 Not many films out there can pull it off with a sequel, it would probably ruin the magic of the first movie. The only exception of where a sequel could out do the first movie would had been 'The Empire Strikes Back', that and 'The Two Towers' were the leading champions in sequels being better than the first movie.
