  • Afta so many years, this sng still dey Rock! This is Real Music!

  • nice

  • Hey am Ghanaian but I love Shina Peters to bits. used to jam with my naija gals back in uni with some afro juju tunes..

  • The national epidemic of 1989. Psychiatrists scratched their heads; healing centres closed down; the Ministry of Health issued desperate communiques; while all the youths of Nigeria, from toddlers to septuagenarians cast their sanity away and abandoned themselves to Shinamania. Memories!

  • @nePfarious wow!!

  • what kind of seductive dance is this..i remember meeting shina and his mentor adekunle then when i was little and shina about my age in surulere

  • I remember Sir Peters been the biggest thing when I was a kid. Dude used to get criticized for his lyrics and depiction of women that is funny because if you compare what he did to what young artist today are doing he was tame.

  • @DatNigerian loool

  • man I used to jack my body back in the day. That use to be my winning move whenever they had dancing competitions. lmao. Just kept praying they'd play shina peters. Missed those days.

  • one word...EPIC.

  • lol watch them tho fom 6:20 i will master ther moves

  • i luv dis song so much n d video jus makes me happy all d tym..its quite funny hw dey had fun in d olden days compared to how we hve fun now

  • This music brings back good memories of the good old days: I MISS YOU DAD,THINKING OF HOW YOU USED TO DANCE WITH ME AND MUMMY EACH TIME THIS SONG WAS PLAYED. YOU'RE FOREVER REMEMBERED AND MISSED

  • i am Ghanaian but born in 9ja i love juju to the max that i cannot chose between Ghana's high life and juju music. both are real songs not hip life and this unknown genre of of current 9ja artist. shame for losing our legacy ours is ours not Michael Jackson, r Kelly etc those who don"t know their root

  • @dikernyclan Real talk

  • It's been 22yrs that Ace had debuted, and the percussion beats are still unmatched.

  • Shina Peters brought about a silent revolution into Nigeria Music in the 90s, multi usage of instruments with finesse and swagger. The Old Brigade also stepped up. It was a great wake up call for music then

  • Shina Peters carried out a musical revolution, multi instrument usage and finesse that start the explosion of Nigerian music in the early 90s. It made the Old Brigade to step up.

  • the mimick on the womans face at 7:25 is priceless and the lady digging it at 7:35 is just the BEST,these were really the best time of mylife! this smashes the garbage them young nigerian cats are doing today true talk!

  • SSP.HE WAS REALLY GOOD WHILE IT LASTED.LOVE IT ANYDAY.

  • I remember dancing like a loony to this song....thank u for uploading

  • This was the Music i get chosen as the Best Dancer at birthday Parties back then in Nigeria. Man.. long time no see. R.I.P to my father, he played all his records when i was so young.

  • Great Jam.....Club Banger anyday!!!!

  • wow this song shook nigeria with fire. love it have been looking for it for years

  • LYRICS?

  • My dad is from Akwa Ibom and they were rocking this in the house too!!! I'm gonna remix this here in D.C.

  • @ garieba1 maybe in your world, Shina's music might lack substance, and i see that you used "lacked" because it seems you are acknowledging that his music has substance now. Are you telling me that KSA or Ebenezer Obey never sang lewid lyrics? You need to listen to the entire album where he talked excusively about being cautious in whatever you do in life, and please don't get me started with his 2nd album where he laid emphasis on education and how men should respect women in the society.

  • quit unfortunate for the mighty to have fallen asleep A.C.E woulds forever be a block buster which can never be erased from the history of Nigeria. a genius with talents Sir Shina Peters kudos .@onthebuzz u are damn right it was i recollect i had to go and dance on a birthday party vigourously with my linen cloth in order to be sprayed naira note really a great moment in my child hood lol thanks for taking me back to my hood.

  • This is still classic even years after! Not in class of what's obtainable in our music scene now. God bless Shina for this topnotch effort.

  • i love shina always.

  • Music the opiate of my people, thats why Naija are the happiest people despite all the wahalla.

  • There hasn't been any Nigerian musician even as i'm writing this comment both in Juju anf Fuji who released a blockbuster album like "Ace" by SSP. Not even KSA . I still don't understand what exactly happened to Shina. I thought this was going to be the genesis of an untouchable talent.

  • @femmy321 talented, but his music lacked substance, and lyrically ability. thats why ksa and others last a lifetime. They are able to mix fun, pleasure, substance and lyrical ability

  • Watch out for SSP live in America this summer .... Inbox me for more details or call 18326606362.

  • 9 JaH !

  • Wow I was 3 years old when the song came out. It seems lik yesterday. Shina Peters is the Shiit in the 80's

  • @ayotytler , i believe it was very late 80's and much of the early 90's to be precise...He was truly a game changer, everywhere in nigeria, north, east, south or west it was Shina Peters!!!

  • Wow I was 3 years old when the song came out. It seems lik yesterday

  • Comment removed

  • tweenthyfourseventow---Hmm that's interesting hun. But its not true that every Yoruba person hates Igbos oo...cos am Yoruba and we love Igbos oo lol...so its not everybody sweets.

  • my child hood music ,listen my daddy was born in lagos state ,he went to yaba tech i swear he speak yoruba and write fluently like every yoruba all my my uncle were born in yoruba land despite been an igbo .but why yoruba hated igbos so much why?

  • God this takes me back!!

    i miss my teenage years!!!

    this was the bomb!!

    Shina was the man!!

  • You are all MAD to be wasting your time out here arguing about Yoruba and Igbo. The real war is the Hausa people who are slowly controlling the whole country< they have the army on their side, they have ASO rock and all other stuff. They even have Sharia in a democratic country which shows that they could care less about us (Yoruba and Igbo).

  • last time i checked the hausas always had control of the military and always will. it was the case when i was doing my NYSC in the north thirty yrs ago and it hasnt changed now..

  • 21 years hahaha

  • pls how old is this music, can someone help me out?

  • 20yrs

  • memories memories memories..God bless u 4 uploadin this

    the ultimate party jam

  • Really this brings back old memories, then people consider shina to be crude with the display of girls, looking at what we have now, then sir shina is a saint.

  • am more into the gentler tones of sunny ade and ebenezer obey as that is from my generation living and growing up in nigeria in the late sixties and again at university in the early eighties... sir shina is too fast and a bit to "crude" for my tastes he is what they call "alatika "music.. listening to it yrs later its not so bad just not to my taste...

  • I'll be honest, as an Igbo boy living in Lagos in the mid to late 80s, I hated yoruba music...especially sunny ade and ebenezer obey...I thought they were boring as heck...maybe not knowing the language contributed to that mindset...but all that changed when shina peters burst onto the scene...I actually found my self loving his music even though I didnt know what he was saying half the time...this brings back memories...even after leaving Naija I never forgot shina peters...good stuff.

  • a briafran living in lagos after the civil war ended?? no wonder you were miserable..

  • oluekologbon58, as an Ibo with full dose of Agege life coupled with tons of yoruba friends, ur comment is the epitome of naivety, ur a bloody simpleton, I m sure ur perception of Biafra or definition of who Biafra is nothing short of what mama n papa told you.....in fact, pop out of west of Naija and visit easern hospitality, it might ease ur pathetic stance about biafra....silly child!!!!

  • shut up you hypocrite, when most of you igbo are so full of hatred for losing the civil war and by the way i was living in nigeria at the time you silly child!!!! and if you lived in Agege and had tons of yoruba friends that would put you in the minority.. most of you are so full of it so get away with you .. your pathetic stance about biafra is more than evident and it abounds on youtube here where your igbos spend a lot of time dissing yorubas on here etc..

  • so go away before you suffer from a dose of "ingbati ingbati "that you lot complain so much about.. ode buruku..

  • Oloriburuku. Oloshi!

  • na yo mama u dey talk to. BACK TO SENDER OBOH

  • what has all that got to do with the price of potatoes.. when most of you igbo as sepratists who despise nigeria and would do anything to cut off from it.. remember there was something called the civil war. or did that pass you by since it was fought on ibgo land mostly and they took the brunt of it..what the heck are you talking about "ignorance" you need to check your own people when it comes to that.. all over youtube expressing their hatred for nigeria let alone the yorubas, the hausa, etc

  • Comment removed

  • your biafran friend said he hated yoruba music so get over yourself arianidiot.. you most probably have an english name anyway.

  • Seems like you know alot about this. Your language tells me you have been in America way too long. Shame, were did all the good Yoruba hometraining go. By your language I cannot tell you had any. Keep it up I do not need to embarass you, you do it all on your own.

  • @Tonyeokechukwusorry, i wanted to rated high.but mistakenly rated it down. i like your comment

  • for real men

  • who put this on youtube??? U'RE THE BEST MAN!!

  • The best of times before June 12.

  • Comment removed

  • me and my cousin were just talking about how back in the day the youth liked shina peters..but now that we are older we realize the beats were nice, but the lyrics tended to be R rated...haha..

  • I agree with you, he was just a notch better than Obesere/pasuma and dem DBanj of today.

  • they are not in the same class at all pls don't even compare SSP with the likes of Obesere/Pasuma and DBanj

  • @olumomento Thank you Abeg, infact, tell them!! it's like comparing mcdonald's to the 'fat duck'

  • @olumomento Don't mind Naija people .... they dont always remember yesterday its all about the one them dey eat for mouth right now .... How in this world you will compare SSP to that level ? anyway i no they supprise na naija thin

  • @olumomento i concur.

  • @olumomento Which kin person dey try that nonsense.. mhcewww oshi!!

  • @olumomento God bless Nigerians were talented

  • this is lovely. it reminds me of my high school days. i remember how my friends and i always love to dance to this song in any party held in school . thanks bro for posting it.

  • Afro Juju shina peters Igba ti wa lode......teletele ri e ti orisirisi...... Time dey go, we dey follow am

  • In my opinion, this was the first song that I heard that treid to embrace the diversity of our cultures.

Even though, predominantly sang in Yoruba, he tried to reach out to the whole nation. As a youruba boy growing up in warri, i have heard many tribal songs, but none so inclusive.

I hope we are learning; that together we are stronger. The days of taking cheap shots at other tribes should be put in the past.

When ur army is a 120 million man strong, no one can stop u.. Nija must rise again!

  • You are still the Creator and Motivator, We do appreciate your hard working that became the best to change the history of Music indulstry and brought fun/happiness to the nija music lovers...Sir Shina P. WE LOVE YOU.

  • Afro-Juju ACe will forever ramain ever-green

  • I LIKE THE MUSIC

  • Am at work, my office is upside down cos this reminds me of parties in my days as a kid back home in naija. Good my boss is not around or am sure i will be fired.but that will not stop me from dancing to my thing. long live sir shina peters

  • MEEEEEEN!!! this is BAM!!!!!!!

  • Really, I can neva 4get my childhood when we rock village wit dis song, u dont play dis song, we go back home. Its was d open door 4 whoever want 2 be noticed. Great song of old time, but still green sah.

  • men, this brings back good memories.

  • This was the jam back in the days. It has some very nasty lyrics, to think my parents used to dance to this. Its still a classic jam tho

  • This was the #1 Nigerian Pimping music

    - by pimping I meant when parents send their children to the middle of the dance floor in order to get "Sprayed" with cash!!! - This jam guaranteed MAXIMUM income.

  • Especially from 6mins 20seconds

  • kai I feel like singing "have u seen my childhood?", takes me back to my lagos childhood days and the days of naivety, with no worries at all, na just to go to primary schl and birthday party every weekend! lol No party was complete without this long rendition to get folks moving.

  • YOOOOO... my mom killed this song too with her girls when I was a youngster at the time one doesn't appreciate it....now look I'm searching for it on you tube....LOLOLOLO

  • I couldn't agree with you more. When i was younger my parents (who are both Ibo but can speak Yoruba fluently)would listen to Ebenezer Obey & IK Dairo ect, ect. At the time, i couldn't really see, what all the fuss was about. Because i was more of a Sunny Ade fan. But as i got older, i learned to appreciate their music. And i have been trying to track down their recordings from the 1960s & the 1970s, with great difficulty.

GOOD MUSIC TAKES TIME TO GROW ON YOU!

  • when u find it tell me, I want original copies of experience, salawa abeni all sunny ade's records. I think it will take me years to find it!
