@CusK77 that true, land rovers (defender/rr/disco) are extremely capable but in this case he has to be... any damage to that car and he'll be paying for it, and range rovers aren't exactly cheap =)

that shows you don't no much about off roading because automatic transmission is best for off road as power never stops going to the wheels so you never loose momentum. You are right about hill decent control it doesn't work in unperfected conditions but what i like about range rovers is what ever hill you go down you can always go back up :P
