  • Well now, guess what was in in my Christmas stocking !-) First impression: quality. However my first test was through a Marshall 18w combo with a Greenback and guess what ? That bass throb is lacking. Next stop through my 4x12...

  • @335fusion yep - 4x12 and play with those knobs to get the desired sound!

  • @CanisMaximusTV nice! probably what i would buy next!

  • See the Voodoo Vibe is 'buffered out', so maybe I could trade my GigRig, Analogman Chorus and Deja Vibe to provide both space and funds !?

  • @335fusion you had best try one first! The voodoo vibe can power long runs of cable for sure!

  • This is going to be expensive as my pedalboard itself will have to be replaced to find space...

  • @335fusion Well pedalboards are usually changing anyway - I make my own boards.

Sure the Voodoo Vibe is large but then if you use those soundz then it's the most important pedal on your board.

  • I've got an early Deja Vibe (plain metal housing) and until I heard this (and Mike Landau) thought it was the best vibe out there, but somehow the Mayer machine is bringing something dark and warm in - maybe if I just turn the bass up ?

  • @335fusion the Roger Mayer voodoo vibe has a much more deep and organic sound - instantly noticeable and animalistic when you switch it on!

  • Have you also noticed that the tremolo effect on the voodoo vibe requires a different bias-setting (the knob on the pedal)?

  • @guitarmikkel sure does Mikkel. Several of the knobs have different functions with the tremelo effect, or for that matter with different guitars! Fantastic pedals!
