  • at 3:04, that looks works every time guys! :)

    Roger Moore definitely has swag!

  • and dcv continues..:P

  • whats the song being played at the cuban guys swimming pool party? i have it in my head!

  • 3:06 :D

''good day. lovely day for driving around the countryside..''

  • i lov 504

  • Bond movies were so much more fun when they were preposterous, can't stand the new "serious" films.

  • This is what the nineties lacked. Bond using his wit, intellect and resourcefulness to escape tight situations. I love how Bond uses his driving skill as oppose to pressing a couple of buttons to escape.

  • Is it really that smart to design an agent's car to blow up the moment its windows get broken? A wayward shot from a kid's baseball game could leave him stranded.

  • at 03:59 the bad guys are so f*****g owned !

  • lol vintage nice

  • There's a mistake...or so I think...when Bond says "not that low" after he says it, his mouth keeps moving as if he's saying something else.

  • @iknownothing34 He was auditioning for a new Godzilla movie.

  • Hahhahaha... Look at Roger"s face at 0.31-0.33..... Brilliant! Roger is just perfect!! ;)

  • Excellent car chase scene! Complete with gunfire, humor and all! Fantastic memories of one of the great 007 movies! Awesome video!

  • 'I love a drive in the country, don't you?' CLASSIC.

  • See, this is a great car sequence as we see Bond use his DRIVING SKILLS as oppose to GADGETS to escape the villains.

  • The very first push start .

  • I love how they take such a crap car and make such an awesome chase out of it.

  • Dumb Fact: The henchman that breaks into the Lotus Turbo Esprit was played by Bob Simmons.

  • and....Dumb Fact #2: The Greek priest at the wedding scene towards the end of the film is producer Michael G. Wilson.

  • @TRUMPER007 I already knew that, but thanks for letting people that didn't know that before know that now.

  • I'm sure between us we could come with thousands more (or Moore)!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL at mark 3:05

  • Simply Moore IS 007!

  • @TRUMPER007 I disagree...but only partly..heh...I like all the bonds I find it hard to order them best. Connery is 007 simply because he was the first...but I do think Moore was the more swuave of the bonds, plus he played bond for the longest.

  • best old bond movie!!

  • lol the music when he sees her car.

  • the duex cv actually looks like a piece of scrap metal (i.e. s***)

  • @koeknyc

go backwards forwards quickly! lmao! it did survive a few rolls..no wonder there's so much cash in scrap.

  • In this movie, the used a 2cv with the engine of the Citroen GS (air-cooled 4 cylinder engine, instead of the 2cv's air-cooled 2 cylinder engine); that's why the car could go that fast; that's why the engine sound is also different. anyway, the 2cv is one of the best cars ever... i actually own one

  • 0:10 Best PWNAGE scene of any Bond movie, lol!

    >;-p

  • Best of the Roger Moore Bond movies, IMHO.

  • That yellow car is in Driv3r BETA

  • james bond always wins, and the bad guys always fail.........epicly!

  • "take the low raod " "not that low" best quote ever

  • Not as good as.

"I love a drive in the country, don't you"

  • burglar proof.

  • As an American, I'm not too familiar with the Citroen, other than it's a French car...was a notoriously bad car or something?

  • No! the citroen "2CV" or 2HP was a very good car with reaally smooth suspension not for "chasing scenes" haha. But it was a good one

  • The car was seen as a joke even in France.

  • yep very bad

  • Up until a few years ago, French cars looked very very very strange.

This was due largely to the fact that the French like to drink Pastis de Marseilles at 10:00 in the morning, so by mid afternoon the car design department were all totally out of their trees.

The Citroen 2CV shown here is one such example of alcohol aided auto engineering and design.

Take a look at any Citroen from 70s and 80s and you'll see exactly what I mean...

  • the 2cv is actually one of the best cars ever!!! famous and loved in europe

  • This also has one of the best musical scores for a car chase...and later ski chase :)

  • 0:10

    Best car protection system ever.

  • Can anyone tell me what car is chasing him?it looks like a peugeot but I can't tell

  • peugeot 504 ;)

  • it's recorded in greece, i've been there :D

  • but they are supposed to be in spain though

  • 03:57 - pure james bond style

  • 2 CV 6 spécial in action !!!! :)

  • lol!

  • It's like they took all the good bits from the early films, and just thought ditch them, get a third rate actor, and do quips. How anyone could find this drivel entertaining is beyond me.

I was really really excited at one bit, but then realised I was watching another film.

  • If you actually look at many of Sean Connarys Bond movies they are totally stupid. For example the mass nerve gas scene in GoldFinger, thats completely silly.

  • Yes, Bond movies are a male fantasy, pure and simple. But they have, to work, to skirt a fine line between what is remotely possible and what isn't. There were some good bits in Goldfinger, as a movie it generally hung together(in my opinion), whereas Roger Moore's Bonds where just bad from start to finish, as was he. Live and Let Die excepted, I'll give that a pass.

  • Live and Let die is easily his best. I grew up with Roger Moore so im more used to him. I like Diamonds are forever and never say never again but not too big on the other connary movies. Sean was probably a better bond, but i prefer Roger Moores movies as cheesy as they can be at times. I think a lot of what made bond famous came from his era especially the action scenes.

  • I suppose it's a matter of what type of movie you prefer. Prefer my Bond to be a brutal assassin. Thought Diamonds are Forever, was part of the slide.

Connery in Dr No, "Yours is a Smith and Wesson, you've had your six", or drowning a guy, "Why did you do that?", "because I had too", or the fight in the railway carriage in From Russia with Love, or Casino Royale, the remake. Brutal hard and tortured, that's my preference, with a bit of shagging thrown in.

  • I like casino royal its one of the best films, but at the same time craig has lost all the charm or humour bond used to have. Hes a miserable sod throughout. But he is a good bond.

  • @ojideagu Agreed, though there are moments in the new films that i liked, such as in QoS when the guy on the motorbike approaches him and says "You were supposed to kill her" and he just says "Well I missed!" and then slammed the throttle on causing the bike to wheelie and the goon to fall off.

  • The best James Bond movie music wise. The car chase n the ski chase were done greatly mix with good music.

  • You know the scene is supposed to be set in Spain but you can obviously tell its Greece. But that was a awsome car chase.

  • mmm... olives.

  • Whoever came up with this car chase is a genius, superbly filmed! The music is also too

  • Hilarious scene!

  • 4:12 those are some fucking red eyes. take some fucking eye drops.

  • yes, YESSS! fear the mighty 2CV!!

  • haaaaaaaaahahaha lol man,, i cant stop my laugh at 0:10

  • hahah, look at bond face 0:45

  • One hilarious thing about Moores Bond was how he always smiled politely at his adversaries, as he did here when the guys pulled up alongside him. He did it in almost all his films. A funny trademark of his, and this was his best Bond film, alongside the Spy who Loved Me.

  • I agree, although not that many people favor Roger Moore as Bond. I think he´s an accquired taste and his schtick helped the film... something missing in modern Bond films.

  • go backards,forwards quickly

  • Take the low road... Not that low !!! ...You don't mind if I drive do you? (ahahahahah!!!!) This is the real Bond/Moore :-)

  • Best part of the scene is at 3:07. Is that bad guy with the sun glasses and the mustache for real?

  • Lol 0:32!

    Bond's like, What the hell?

  • the music in this chase scene kicks ass

  • bill conti composed it, the man behind Gonna Fly Now...

  • they released a sticker for the side of citrens for this movie and car fanatics called Citron retards

  • One of the three 2CVs they used for this chase was being used as an everyday car in the UK up until fairly recently, still with the original, beaten up bodyshell.

  • lol! mad! the part where he rolled the citreon down the hill was abit un realistic

  • i love a good drive in the country don't you? hahaha

  • lol

  • shame The Lotus Espirt Turbo got blown up that would have made a gr8 car chase esp with loads of gadgets xxx

  • yep but It would have drove extremely fast and get away from them in a matter of seconds the gadgets though....

  • That yellow car is Mint XD

  • cool car chase. i love bond

  • i want that car protection lol, this is my favourite bond car chase scene, the musics good too..

  • Haha it's classic. Reminds me of something out of a Pink Panther movie. Lol at 3:06.

  • ya lol I wonder why those guys didn't just shoot him...

  • wtf where is the vid

  • beggars can't be choosers, james...

  • Bill Conti is one of the greatest, if not the all-time greatest of the Bond composers.

  • What about John Barry?

  • 00:17, LOL burgular protected car blows up. that should be the same for my car

  • tht was fun

  • La mejor escena de la pelicula de 1981. ¡Grande el 2cv6!

  • ADHIERO!!!!!

  • this is hilarious nice

  • LOL @ :32

    Bond's like.....what the hell?

  • the cute car rolled within a second and turned back to its place after that, that was hillarius hhahahahah

  • that was the point of the movie, the director didnt want him to have fast cars and gagets,

  • lol some scenes r in fast motion

  • love this chase so much so action packed and exciting love bit when bond re-ends the villans cars knocks it onto its roof so amazin pitty he didnt have the Lotus Esprit for this chase xxx

  • Sometimes I like Bill Conti music, but NOT in this case. John Barry is truly missed. The song for ur eyes only is good by Conti, but Conti music is way tooooo discotech for its on good.

  • Just be happy that Blondie didn't get their song on board as the title song instead of Sheena Easton.

  • Checkout Ms. Bouquet on Mr. Skin! Great bush. Awsome body! This was my first Bond movie and still my favorite.

  • the gurl is hot!

  • aahah go freedom train go!

  • the girl's one gourgous woman :)

  • This is one of the best bond-scenes ever- especially the one part where it says that the car is burglar protected

  • Gotta love the soundtrack for this clip. dig that disco

  • haha i love rogers nod to the thugs when they do that close up

  • If this chick be a true Greek Mammy, then she must a come from Mount Olympus, cause she is HAAAAAAAWT!

  • askelvis27, Carole Bouquet was not born a man. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

  • She was supposed to be bi I heard

  • Check the net then and see for your eyes only

  • No, not Bouquet ! It turned out, that one of the girls at the pool scene was born as a man.

PS: Bouquet is the ex-wife of actor Gerard Depardieu and a ex model for Chanel.

  • no it was not the main bond girl it was a woman during the pool scene who is actually a man. get the facts straight

  • I think you may be wrong about her in particular friend. One of the females was born a male but I don't think it was her. But I could be wrong.

  • I love the bit when they try to break into his Lotus Esprit and it blows up he he so funny xxx

  • nice! lol XD

  • "take the low read.... not that low" <= lol i love that part =]

  • "I Love a drive in the country? don't you?"

One of Roger Moores many cracking one-liners!

  • I love this chase. This shows Bond's superior driving skills even when driving that Citroen 2CV,which had 12hp and was designed for french farmers. We had already seen Bond's super Lotus in The spy who loved me. Did people expect another chase scene with the Lotus? Thank God the producers killed the Lotus, because the villains would have no chance against it.

  • Heh...the comment "I'm afraid we're being out horsepowered" is too funny...

  • they actually fitted a Citroen GSA motor to the 2CV for more power.

  • His Little Smile To The Gangsters At 3.06 Is Priceless.

  • It must be noted that the entirety of the chase is downhill, otherwise the 2CV wouldn't have had a chance. Much of this chase is corny, but enjoyable just the same.
