  • A fish that size is old as hell. With how long it put up a fight and the stress put on it I doubt the fish would have survived at all no matter what. I think the record is better to have than that 70 year old fish floating upside down as you floated away with no record. Now you know.

  • Beatiful fish... just an asshole could kill it. No brains shown on the video.

  • @meberic You obviously don't know anything about the situation they were in. They needed to have physical proof that they had a world record catfish. You think they would take the time to keep it alive and risk losing their fish? That fish probably had so much stress on it from the fight, that it was going to die anyways. They did the right thing. I'm just sorry that you are too blind to see that that had to be done.

  • Tigerfish.

  • do your research before u make dumb comments

  • Exactly what Jeff said, records are species specific, not FAMILY specific guitarinske.

  • its the WORLD record for the Blue Catfish, not some thailand catfish...think outside the box champ

  • how could it be a WORLD record when there was one caught in thailand that weighed over 600 lbs? could some one fill me in on that?

  • @guitarsinske Its the world record catfish for north america it doesnt include the whole entire world if that was the case the 130lb blue catfsh would not be the world record. Blue catfish are the largest catfish species in north america.
