What was the actual result of the mistake? The guy not being able to drive or the column he hit being in the wrong place? And on another note, did they have felt-tip pens back in 1939?
@Madness832 What happened was that the car needed 1/2 a mile to brake, and another 1/3 of a mile to veer and go around the column. When Cooper added the fractions he got 2/5 of a mile out to start the evasive maneuver. But that wasn't enough distance to slow and go around the column, and so SMASH!
Be-A-Bully Limited? Gotta love these things they passed over kids heads. They really need to bring back a show like this. It made math entertaining. ^_^
I have'nt had to work with fractions like that since grade school. I had to actually think of how to do this again. I use decimals 1/16 is 0.0625 so much faster and easier.
Wow. I Remember This One. I Hope Someone Put Up Some More On Here Like This One. I'm Still Wondering Where The Cast Of Square One Tv And Mathnet Is Now?.
@NDW85 I remember some other Oops segments being on but they were withdrawn. I also used to watch the complete Mathnets until most of them had access restricted.
1/2 + 1/3 = 2/5....LOL!!!!

That's Reg E. Cathey. He's best known for playing Norman Wilson on HBO's

You should post more of these segments. They were like an ongoing series. These are real funny.
