Now, as a dane, I actually get this song. It is (maybe! don't rage if im wrong D:) about Denmark still keeping Greenland as a colony (There's the flag of Greenland on the shoulders of everybody). Most men from Greenland come to Copenhagen in hope of a good job and stuffs, but they mostly end up drunk in the streets with no hopes of returning to their home. So it's about building up their own country and "declare independence". (Greenland actually got independent a couple of years ago :P)

Beautiful song. But with this video, it seems that independence from one order leads to another dependence to yet a new order (hence the people just listening to Björk and jumping like all they need is someone to make them go higher and raise their flag when what they really need is to think for themselves and find a way to express their newly found independence of thought as individuals, not as a crowd). Love the video but that's what it inspired me at this moment.

@DonnaNecra It's a circular argument, stand out to fit in, fit in to stand out, be unique, like everbody else. Look at the cycle, starting with the guitarist, and going around, then hear what she says as it moves from station to station. The lyrics, and timing explain it pretty well. Oh yeah, and Greenland.
