I have learned to stick with not only the names that one knows but the name for a specific area. Correct me if I'm wrong I'm new to this I'm all for Gigabyte when it comes to "motherboard" so I'm a bit iffy with getting a computer built by them I'm even more reluctant about getting one from "Viliv" which I have never heard of before so I would automatically choose the "Lenovo" by default because I know them as a company with a track record of making computers.
Pretty cool lineup and review. Wish you had the Asus T101MT in this review because that's the one I'm thinking about getting. I'm just looking for a secondary computer to throw in my Saddlebags and get online when I travel. Love the Touch Screen part though since I love to draw.
For a basic computer for drawing and browsing, where would the Asus stand against these 3? Which has the best Touch Screen for doodling and shading?
I bought the lenovo yesterday !!! But unfortunately I got the one with the 3-Cell Battery, it barely stays for 3 hours on normal use, but its VERY NICe !! My oppinion is BUY THE LENOVO S10-3t!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
@BlueIzzzs ipad don't even run flash! ipad is just a mobile gadget, i don't think anybody would use it as a mobile computer as you may do with this netbooks.
I've used a lenovo s10-3t and it had the best keyboard of any netbook I've ever used. Also the hinge was very solid. But the screen really let it down.. very reflective and low 1024x600 res
It's not really considered a netbook ... but the Fujitsu Lifebook P1630 is probably your best bet for stylus use with palm rejection. If you can't spend that much, you can probably pick up an older P1610 or P1620 for around the same price as any of new "netvertibles" and you might get better performance with the Core Solo of the P1610 and definitely better performance with the Core 2 Duo of the P1620 or P1630.
They're just not multi-touch, which you may not need if you want to use a stylus.
@howee100 I know the Asus has software were you can switch between pen mode and finger mode. While in pen mode only the stylus will be recognized not your hand.
ye the internals of the Viliv S10 are pretty impressive ! the battery is huge, im not a huge fan of viliv, but wow thats very impressive ! makes the lenovo and the gigabyte look a little silly in terms of battery size and battery life and thickness. but yes i know there are different pros and cons to get you certain features, tradeoffs...nice vid ! we need more vids of sasha and nicole reviewing products together !
I think this guy trying to break them by the way he is handling them.

I love the battery on the Idea Pad. You lock and load it like a weapon for artist.

Is that a flawed view in anyway?

@Bazem2cars That's right. I also got the same model as you have, but it's not my problem, as long as there is power out there!

the s10 does have an accelerometer but it is, for some unknown reason, disabled and set to use the button by default.

Great videos. Thanks.
Is there a netvertible that you can use with a stylus with that has palm rejection.
I think it os possible with the Acer 1820ptz but I'm not sure.
howee100 2 years ago
Intel's two classmate netvertibles has the best palm rejection. Their new convertible also comes with a huge honkin stylus.
Acer and Asus both have software palm rejection, but they're not great.
