  • Watch these boys do Live at Filmore version almost note for note.

STORMY MONDAY, ALLMAN BROTHERS cover Gainesville SkyDogs / Duane tribute

  • Just the way I like it.....

  • The ancestors, living and dead (Wolf, Muddy, B.B., Albert, Freddie, John Lee, Buddy and a few dozen others) sing well into their 70s and 80s without stressing the vocal cords and/or the diaphragm. I want their progeny to learn from them. Probably the Master of no-stress vocal genius would be Billie Holiday. This is the first song I ever learned, back in the 60's.

  • Where is the rest of the song??

  • the kid in the middle usually annoys me. this version is GREAT b/c you got gregg on one side and the best on bass

  • @garstanza Are you in reference to Derek Trucks? I hope not because he is the best living slide player and the only person that could be compared to Duane!

  • Even Greg sounds good. Nothing taken away from him We are all getting old.

  • I cried ..........Lord have mercy on me!

  • I would have loved to have seen this...especially with Eric Clapton playing!

  • clapton should have sang this he is god!

  • Algo bien con este Blues,Flash Back !!

  • I love the ABB, but Gregg's voice is just toast here....out of tune .... I love the man, and his organ chops are still fine, but he sounds like he is singing in the wrong key.

  • I love love love love love love love love love love love love love this song :D

  • When Eric Clapton "readily admits" that he was "in awe" of another guitarist, what does that tell you about the ability that Duane Allman had on the electric guitar? Clapton is used to being the one that others are in awe of, not the other way around.

  • @GBeret83 eric also thought that way of stevie ray vaughn, even saying that stevie was the best he ever heard, the very night they jammed together at alpine valley and stevie got on the helicopter and passed away in the fog that night in august of 1990

  • Is this concert available on dvd?

  • @BeGoodeJohnny not *exactly* ... but start here: moogis.com

  • What Talent ! Eric, Derek, Warren, and of course Gregg. GREAT TUNE!- I miss the Beacon! United Palace just don't have it

  • this is awesome! thanks for posting this. went here on youtube right after reading the aforementioned article in RS with Beck and Clapton on the cover...

In watching all this, I wonder if Clapton regrets not having his Gibby 335 (the one GC owns now) with him on this particular show?

  • The first and the last line are absolutely true. Music is the language of heaven....

  • Brings tears to my eyes.

  • Man, ya gotta hope they put this out on DVD! This show with Clapton is definitely the music event of the year.

  • ooooooohhhhhhhhhhh yeah

  • Does anyone have video of the Little Martha solo by Oteil from this night?

  • I'm in LOVEEEEEEEEE....
