It make sense that Louis knows the Dutchman's plan because the nerves of the body connects to all parts. He was also first to join revolution. Someone put thought into making this movie they didn't just slap it together.
@0bverse I think the bigger point is when you work together you can accomplish much much more than you ever thought. They were promised $1,000 where is the betrayal maybe I missed something else.
@abby495 True, teamwork is the main point of the movie. But the Dutchman uses a minor technicality - nobody specifically said $1k EACH - just to get another $4k. To say that's not betrayal is splitting hairs.
So the Revolution could have had $495k & four experts still on their side, ready for more missions.
Now they have $499k & four dangerous men who feel cheated.
Wasn't worth breaking the team & making enemies for just $4k. Didn't seem convincing that he'd do that.
@0bverse In the beginning didn't they were separated and then Louis the communicatino center offered each one $1,000 to do a job for the Dutchman the brain. In working together they transform into single UNIT a BODY with 5 parts instead of 5 separate people. The brain in the body Dutchman made the right choice because in joining revolution they have $500,000 much much more than the individual parts. And Sammuri gets his consort. They're all fed. The Gestalt is bigger than its individual parts.
@abby495 You give the movie too much credit. It's entertaining nonsense, done with style. Nothing more.
If it was well thought-out, they'd have got the Mexican flag right... and they wouldn't have used MG42 machine-guns which weren't invented until 30 years after the revolution.

Wait, what.....?
The Dutchman betrays everybody so that the Revolution ends up with $499,000 instead of $495,000?
Stupid, pointless excuse for a plot 'twist'....
