Christians smile and even non-Christians who have never once been to church can feel the power of worship. This is because it's more than just a talented person singing a catchy melody. The bible says that wherever people come together in the name of the Lord, He joins them there. Being in the presence of the Lord feels great, almost intoxicating, and if you haven't felt it you are seriously missing out my friends.
Well Ron, christian worship concerts are brainwashing sessions in action. The Manson girls all had smiles on their faces too. Don't mean what they believe isn't imaginary. Praise Santa Claus. Praise Him!
I won't judge Ron Jeremy, Truth be told most of us are no better. We do not know his relationship with God, that's between him and God. For all I know he might read from the Torah every Saturday or he might recite the Rosary in private. Why do we find it so important to point fingers and judge? We are no fucking better. Fuck!
Brother you're right about Christians having "something" that others don't to smile about. Brother you ain't done nothing I haven't (cept suck your own *$#%) but let me tell you, when you leave that life behind and decide to follow Christ. You'll find out why we don't go through life frowning. It was through those songs I was reached, and I tell you I'm not going back to my shell of a life. That road is empty and you know it, or will know it.
Come on Ron, you can do it: Repent and return to the God of our fathers Yahweh, and Yeshuah and be saved, its not too late! We are all sinners we just need to repent and He will help us.
Remember!! While we were yet sinners Christ died for all!!! I like the fact that Ron Jeremy is mentioning the name Jesus Christ!!! Isnt there a teaching in the Scriptures that says, "whether in truth or pretense, aslong as Christ is preached, I rejoice."
Remember!! While we were yet sinners Christ died for all!!! I like the fact that Ron Jeremy is mentioning the name Jesus Christ!!! Isnt there a teaching in the Scriptures that says, "whether in truth or pretense, aslong as Christ is preached, I rejoice."
@corrozu Eh..what about the hyped up, motor mouth, hyper behavior you just glossed over? He looks coked up to me & if he is what's it to you? are you here to defend him from such accusations and if so why? Are you one of his 10" cock loving, devoted groupies?
Ron in addition to being an XXX star for many years is also a classical pianist. And Although I do not agree on his choice of employement. I wonder which of us can cast the first stone? I know That I for one cannot and I have seen Ron in his profession many years ago. I 'm not saying antone else has This is not a poll It's just a wake up call. Those of us who have been saved should not even need to be reminded about the first stone by me or any other read your bibles it's right there.
I absolutely can. Because each of us has a journey with God that's very personal. All I'm saying is NONE of us know this man's heart and my personal belief is that I would never condemn anyone to hell. I don't like using scare tactics on people, I don't believe it works because it did not work on me. I came to Christ at 12 yrs old because of obligation. I lived in sin for many years after that and through people showing me God's true love, with open arms I ran to Christ! That's just me.
And I would rather stand before God one day and be accountable for overdoing the whole "love your neighbor" thing rather than being held accountable for condeming people to hell.
Well I prefer to represent God as a God of love and not one to condemn. Jesus did not come to this world to condem but to save. I believe LOVE wins because God IS LOVE and Ron Jeremy seeing that love is what changes a man's heart. Perfect love casts out fear. And Love covers a multitude of sins.
@ChachaWalker Ron Jeremy also deserves hell, just like the rest of us. God sent Jesus Christ to die for sinner, "while they were YET sinners" (Rom. 5:8). But Ron Jeremy has to come to God on God's terms, not his own. And part of those terms is repentance. Mr. Jeremy will repent and admit he has sinned before a holy God or he will go to hell. There is no respect of persons with God.
@ChachaWalker And I want to say one other thing, can you show me any verse in the Bible that says the Ron Jeremy DESERVES love and mercy? Why does he deserve it?
@wingus79 You are such a dipshit, dumb fuck supposed "Christian" which you are NOT. Every time someone calls themselves a Christian, I know for a fact they don't act Christ-like.
How on earth can you watch this video and not see that Ron Jeremy has an "open heart"? Because you're a typical Republican hypocrite, that's why.
@mermaidofsuburbia wow absolutley no judgement call made there! I'm glad you are so close to wingus79 that you can make those generalized statements! So all is true about liberals also? How about independents? So you must be a supposed "whatever" because you represent something no matter what it may be. Ron Jeremy does have an open heart - it's just closed to God. He was making a simple prayer. No Christian can act Christ like - there is only 1 Christ. That's why he died for us.
I have been true Christian for a few years now. Still feel like a newbie. I think it's unfortunate that people are so conditioned to be judgmental and aren't really aware of it. I am guilty of it myself, in fact, when I initially think of Ron Jeremy going to church, I think it's mockery. When I step back and look with an open and loving heart, as Jesus would, I see that he needs nothing but love and support, not judgment or rejection. I pray that Ron wakes up one day with spiritual peace.
there is no difference between one sin and a thousand sins. there no difference btw one who talk ill of his neighbor and what jeremy does. so guys we are all sinners in the eyes of God. all human being sin all the time including the faithful .so instead of being judgemental, you should all look at yourselves in the mirror. and pray harder so that more people can know christ and his love for the human race
Ron Jeremy needs Jesus Christ to save his soul. He is no different than any of us before we found Jesus (if you're saved). Ron Jeremy is a filthy, vile, ungodly sinner IN GOD'S EYES. He is the enemy of God & I'm shocked that some would think it "awesome" to be his friend. The very fact that this ungodly, filthy man likes "Christian" worship music, confirms even more that "CCM" is a failure and not of the Lord. If it were, Jeremy would fall on his face in the fear of God.
@aThinkingChristian hey genius.. did you know the van he is in has two toddlers and a woman, and an anti-porn pastor in it? did you also know that anti-porn pastor is very good friends with this "enemy of god?" grow a brain and learn that if you are supposed to be a christian, you suck at following jesus' teachings.. you and your ilk are the exact reason people turn away from organized religion!
@l3thDisciple James 4:4, "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the ENEMY OF GOD."
Now let's see...GOD says that those that are friends of the world are his enemies. So that leaves me with the choice to believe God or believe someone like you. You tell me who I should take.
You might consider reading the Bible and learning who the REAL Jesus was before spouting your mouth off.
@aThinkingChristian ace, i have studied the bible, and far more religions, than you can comprehend.. and know this.. with so many religions - they can't all be right.. so get over your zealous fanaticism!
@l3thDisciple Really? Post your learning, big guy. LOL! One thing you're right about, they can't all be right. But one can. And that one is Christianity. And it's obvious that you have not studied that one full enough, for you know very little of it.
@aThinkingChristian nah, i don't have to defend my stance.. it's you defending yours, and not a very worthy defense, either.. but hey, if you think you won, then absolutely.. you win, your holy-roller-ness.. praise be to you and your sense of self and worthiness.. have a blessed day.. from: the agnostic..
@l3thDisciple I am fully aware of what I am in God's eyes, sir. I never pretend to be "holy-roller-ness." That's a label you've put on people like me because you are yet in your sins and in need of Jesus as your Savior also. Anyone who is not a Christian is the enemy of God. That includes you. That's what the Bible says. Therefore, rant as you want. Your beef is with God Himself, and if you don't like that, I'm sorry.
@l3thDisciple I'm always amazed at the professed Bible knowledge of every Tom, Dick & Harry out there. You atheists & agnostics think you know what you're talking about, when you really have no idea. You demonstrate your lack knowledge in your words, & then have the audacity to claim that you've studied more than "I can comprehend." I've studied the Bible for over 24 years. I teach college-level courses in a Bible school weekly, and I consider myself a novice. So you must be really impressive.
@aThinkingChristian oh yeah, love thy neighbor.. judge not, lest ye be judged.. and the golden shower of rules - do unto others as you would have them do unto you.. so while you are here preaching your bullshit false hate, keep that in mind.. and grow an independent brain that can operate outside the text of a book written by a bunch of dudes..
@aThinkingChristian James 4:11-12 (just a few verses down): "Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?"
@lrfcowper I'm judging the METHOD, and are we not supposed to "judge righteous judgment"? Are you not judging my response to this as being wrong? This whole "thou shalt not judge" is blown way out of proportion.
I don't doubt the motive of this pastor, but he's not honoring Jesus Christ by getting this vile man, who loves his sin & profession, and who exploits women daily, up in a church to "share" about his life and his faith, etc. Say what you want, but God is not in that.
@aThinkingChristian You mean the method where he befriends the lost and shares his life with them? The one that Jesus used?
Of course Ron Jeremy is a vile man. We should expect no different from an unsaved person. And if you actually read the articles, you'll note that while Ron Jeremy has gone to church with Craig Gross, he's never been on the stage in a church, only in universities and the like, which is also an outreach to the lost.
Gross's ministry isn't yours. Still doesn't make it wrong.
@l3thDisciple Oh, and perhaps you'd like to post the teachings of Jesus regarding this man that I'm to follow? How about this one...
When the Pharisees brought the woman caught in adultery (John 7:53-8:11; relevant here, wouldn't you say?), what did Jesus tell her after her accusers went away? "GO AND SIN NO MORE." Was Jesus all cuddly, setting up debates with her on the good and bad of committing adultery? NO! She was wrong and he told her so. Ron Jeremy needs to "go and sin no more."
@aThinkingChristian and yet he didn't scold her, tell her she deserved no friends of or through christ.. and yet here you sit, bitching that ron jeremy is an enemy of god, worthless as a friend, even to a christian, and then blast christian music.. you sir, suck at follwoing the exact thing you claim to know.. so it's not me who needs to learn the bible.. i learned enough to not use it as a pretext to my existence..
@aThinkingChristian How, praytell, are we supposed to bring people into relationship with Christ if we do not get to know them first? Jesus didn't scream at sinners from street corners, he went and ate with them in their homes. Matter of fact, he was so infamous for eating and drinking with sinners-- tax collectors and prostitutes, the worst sinners of the day-- that he was called a drunkard and a glutton.
@lrfcowper Do you think Jesus sat shirtless next to the shirtless sinner, while they read each others books. The sinners being about porn, and smiling about it? Go read the CNN article on this issue and look at the picture they posted.
Jesus did eat with them and did go to their homes, BUT HE NEVER BECAME LIKE THEM TO WIN THEM. That is the difference. Jesus would not have gone into a bar or nightclub to "debate" the right and wrong of a vile sin. There is no debate. It's wrong.
@aThinkingChristian What's wrong with sitting shirtless next to someone? When did that get to be a sin? And the "sinner's" book is about his life, not just about porn.
Craig Gross hasn't become like Ron Jeremy to win him, either. Spending time with someone discussing things isn't becoming like them.
Paul stood among the idols and discussed the idol 'to an unknown god' with those who worshiped those very idols. Was he wrong? Isn't idol worship a vile sin?
@lrfcowper The man's life IS porn. What value can that be to Gross? The two of them looking the same (shirtless) and reading the other person's book sends a message. It says, "We're equals." No, they are not the same. One is a child of God and the other a child of the Devil. They are polar opposites. Should Gross try to win Jeremy to Christ? Certainly. But Jeremy should know that there is a clear difference between what he believes & what a Christian is. The lines seem blurry in this video.
@aThinkingChristian Are you actually questioning the worth of another human being, created by God, created in His image, and so loved by God that He watched him being knit in his mother's womb and knows the number of hairs on his head? What value is Ron Jeremy to Gross? The same value he is to God-- he is God's beloved child who is lost and needs saving. Go back to the CNN article and find the testimony of another person involved in porn who came to Christ through Gross's ministry. It works.
@lrfcowper No, why would I question the worth of another human being? Jesus died for Jeremy just like he died for you and me. BUT, he is not God's "beloved child." He is the Devil's child. You have to be careful, friend. Mixing this up can cause a person to go too far with this issue, which, I admit, is challenging, and must be taken on a case by case basis. You won't find a verse in the Bible that says that Jeremy is God's child.
@lrfcowper I want to point something else out, too. Consider how Jesus dealt with people. To the religious leadership he was very harsh, & they deserved it. To the people he showed compassion, but in one-on-one conversations he ALWAYS got straight to the point. With the woman at the well, "you've had 5 husbands," with the woman in adultery, "Go and sin no more." You didn't see him stretching these things out. He brought people to points of decision & moved on. I'm not seeing that pattern here.
@lrfcowper So how would I handle Ron Jeremy? I'd treat him with the same kindness that Gross is. I'd have the 100% motive of leading him to Christ. I'd allow the relationship to develop to a point where I could clearly and plainly give him the whole Gospel (you know, the stuff about hell and repentance), and push him to a point of decision. If he rejected it, I would leave the door open for future conversation, but I would move on. I certainly wouldn't travel with him like a circus act.
@aThinkingChristian What you see as a "traveling circus", I see as an ongoing ministry. Each time they do these debates he reaches someone new. And who knows when Ron will come to his "point of decision"? Maybe he'll be saved yet.
@matrok1962 Then end never justifies the means. That is not found in the Bible. As a matter of fact, I can show you where it was detrimental. Remember when the Jews complained about not having water? God told Moses to SPEAK to a rock & water would come out. Moses was made at them, so he HIT the rock. Did water come out? Yep. Did he please the Lord? Nope. God expects holiness & obedience REGARDLESS of the motive. It is not God's will for Gross to defile himself morally to win Jeremy to Christ.
@aThinkingChristian I can respect that you are the weaker brother in this context and couldn't maintain a friendship with Jeremy without being tempted into sin. But from the outside, only befriending someone to lead them to Christ and dropping them if they don't respond the first time you present the Gospel message looks very manipulative. That doesn't look very much like love. Jesus had only 3 years of ministry, but he still maintained a friendship with a man he KNEW was going to betray him.
@lrfcowper Ah, now, don't get all Pharisaical on me. The issue is not maintaining a friendship with a man who has ruined the lives of thousands of men, women & children. The issue is WHERE Gross goes with that man to be a "witness." If you're going to look down your righteous nose at me, tell me, would Jesus attend "EXXXotica NY" to reach a sinner? Now I know you're not "weak" like me & you can go to such places & never lust one time while "loving the sinner." But I choose to live in reality.
@aThinkingChristian I never said I could go to such a place. I probably couldn't, though my sin in that context is more likely to be anger than lust. But I don't choose to look at the ministry of those who can as being suspect because I think my weakness somehow makes me "holier" than they are.
Would Jesus go to EXXXotica NY to reach a sinner? Sure he would. He regularly dined with sinners and I somehow doubt all of them dressed, spoke and acted appropriately while he was there.
@lrfcowper Furthermore, I never said that I would drop Jeremy if he didn't respond the first time I presented the Gospel to him. You're reading into my words. Go back and actually look at what I said. Maybe you missed the part where I said, "I'd allow the relationship to develop..." That may take longer than 3 years. BUT, I will not SIN to win a man to Christ. The ends NEVER justify the means. And you're a liar if you claim you can go into an XXX play land & remain pure in your heart.
@lrfcowper Go watch the video "Craig Gross at EXXXOTICA NY" and tell me if you get the impression that Mr. Gross thinks porn is wrong for EVERYONE. Now, tell me, does Jesus think it's wrong for everyone?
Final question: in light of the answers to the last two questions, does Craig Gross see the issue the SAME way that Jesus does?
"LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU, which was also in Christ Jesus." Phil. 2:5
For the record, I don't question Gross' MOTIVES, but I certainly question his METHODS.
@aThinkingChristian I think the interviewer slanted the questions and Craig tried to answer them in a way that kept the dialogue open. Go to XXXchurch's site and look at what's posted there, like to the person who asked if it was okay for a married couple to watch porn together. The answer: "NO. NO. NO. This is a cheap substitute for the real thing. What starts as an aid often become a substitute." I don't see ANYTHING there that approves of porn for ANYONE.
@aThinkingChristian I think you're mistaking practicality for compromise. Pornographers are not likely to ever step through a church door. The church has abandoned them. They are the prodigals of our generation, with the exception that many of them DON'T know the generous nature of the father as the prodigal son did. XXXchurch is going where they are and starting with that very fact-- that there is one who loves them unconditionally, right now, and they don't need to change first or earn it.
@aThinkingChristian See, too often we tell "bad" sinners that they have to overcome certain sins first before they can come to Christ. But none of us can overcome sin without the blood of Jesus and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We're asking them to do something impossible. They've been told this so long, hated so thoroughly, burned so badly, made to feel worthless so completely, that it's going to take a long while and some careful handling or you end up damaging them more.
@lrfcowper If you think I think this way, you've serious misjudged me. You can't clean a fish until you catch it. I expect Jeremy to act this way. He's a lost man. But I don't expect Gross to go to, basically, a professional brothel and set up a table to help those who "think they've gone too far" in their porn. He's not out to eradicate that filthy lifestyle all-together. He just wants to help those who have gone "too far."
I'll stress it again: it's never right to do wrong, to do right.
@aThinkingChristian He's avoiding Christianese while talking to a secular reporter by using 'gone too far'. If you look on his website, you'll find that he isn't tolerant of porn at all. He just loves the people involved. And, no, he isn't out to eradicate that filthy lifestyle altogether. You can't make non-Christians behave like Christians. It just won't happen. The only way to eradicate it is to convert EVERYONE. He's reaching out to those who know they have a problem, starting there.
@lrfcowper Wait! So Christians should try to get laws passed against wicked behavior in our country? Would America's Founders have tolerated it in the public like we do today? No one is asking non-Christians to behave like Christians. But Christians should be very outspoken against all forms of wickedness. Doing a shirtless photo-op with Jeremy and pretending to read his book, which is filled with the glorification of porn, is NOT pleasing to the Lord. It may be "funny" to some, but not God.
@aThinkingChristian Let me ask you this-- has the ratio of Christians in America gone up or down since the Moral Majority entered into American politics and started trying to get immorality outlawed instead of trying to eradicate it through changing people's hearts? Has openness toward the Gospel, acceptance of Christians, and general public morality gone up or down? 1) It isn't effective at reaching people or changing the society. 2) It isn't what we're called to do.
@lrfcowper I have no idea. I don't follow that type of thing. There is no way to change hearts, and ideas, but through Christ. So let me ask you a question. Should Christians not be involved in politics & try to eradicate evil in the country where our children will grow up? I could give you dozens of quotes from our Founders about the need for America to be both religious and moral. The lost world isn't going to promote this ideals, and the Founders weren't talking about giving the Gospel.
@aThinkingChristian Of course Christians should be involved in politics and in all other aspects of our society. But that shouldn't be our focus. And Christians should not vilify other Christians for following the Great Commission ahead of other works they could be doing. It may be that prophecy (not foretelling the future, but speaking out to society) is your ministry. It isn't Craig Gross's. The mouth should not criticise the hand for being a hand and doing hand things. That's all I'm saying.
@lrfcowper And all I'm trying to say is that the mouth SHOULD criticize the hand if the hand is reaching through the mud to get the candy when the body was designed to get the candy without going through the mud. The problem is that the "mud" has been redefined over the years until now one calls it "mud" and others call it a "door." Mud is and will always be mud. And God never asks us to go through the mud when a clean way is provided. Jesus never sinned while reaching others. Neither should we.
@aThinkingChristian I fail to see how Craig Gross is sinning. Just because you would sin in that situation does not mean that Craig Gross necessarily will. Only Christ knows Craig's heart and we are not to judge.
@lrfcowper I'm not judging Gross. I'm looking at reality. Are you saying you could go to a place like that and not lust? C'mon. I'm too old to fall for that line of reasoning. I don't know a man alive that wouldn't struggle in there. But again, I appeal to Scripture. Show me where Jesus ever dealt with people that didn't necessarily want him there while they were in their sin. And don't say the Pharisees. He sharply rebuked them with strong language. If Gross is blasting that way, God bless him.
@aThinkingChristian I probably could, being female and straight, go to such a place and not lust. As I said before, I'm more likely to commit violence than lust at someplace like that. But that's beside the point. I'm not Craig Gross. I'm not a telepath/empath. Neither are you. We don't know what Craig Gross thinks or feels. Saying you do is JUDGING. Period.
@lrfcowper LOL! Sorry, I guess I assumed you were a guy. My wife would be with you. She'd be very angry.
But having revealed your gender, allow me to make a plain statement to you that you probably won't like: you're not a man and you have no idea how a man thinks, or about the power of lust over a man's heart. I'm sure you've noticed that sex sells, and that 95% of it is directed towards men. That should tell you something. But when you think you have it, you still have no idea. You can't.
@lrfcowper I'm not judging Gross. But he's a man like me, and not gay that I can tell. So this knowledge allows me to know some things about him without ever having met him. And one of those things is that he is attracted to extremely beautiful women who aren't wearing many clothes. I don't expect you to understand that, but it's true. That's why I say I'm looking at the reality of the situation. God makes a way for Christians to be a witness without getting dirty themselves.
@aThinkingChristian My husband works for an ISP. A part of his job is occasionally looking at pages to see whether they qualify as porn and, thus, should be removed from their servers. By your lights, every time my husband looks at a page that is porn he immediately sins because he cannot help it. You don't seem to have much faith in the power of the Holy Spirit.
I'm pretty sure the Samaritan woman at the well didn't want Jesus there. She tried to start a pointless religious argument with him.
@lrfcowper No, I don't have faith in the flesh. Paul said that in it dwells "NO good thing." The real question you and your husband need to ask is, "Does Jesus want him to EVER look at porn so he can make money?"
The woman at the well was coming to draw water. She wasn't offering Jesus a sex toy or a free night with her if he signs up for some porn promotion. There is a big difference between John 4 and EXXXOTICA, NY.
@lrfcowper But I think you're missing the point, and, once again, misunderstanding me. You keep trying to push this banner over my head that tells the lost to be like Jesus. I've never even implied such a belief. I'm talking strictly about METHODS on how to reach the lost....[continued]
[continued] Do you believe there can be right motives but wrong methods? I do. Yes, Jesus went into the homes of the lost, but he was WANTED, & certainly he wasn't waiting in the lobby of the whore's house while she finished up with her customer. Forgive the brashness, but I'm trying to make a point. The only time I recall in his life that a group of people dared to live sinfully IN his presence was at the temple & he threw over their tables and whipped them. No, he would not go to EXXXOTICA NY.
@lrfcowper I understand what you're trying to say, and I will admit that there is a fine line with these issues. Jesus would never have been in a situation like Gross puts himself in. Even in a harlot's house she would have been extremely modest compared to what you can see at Wal-Mart today if you go there. Our world is different. But there still must be lines drawn for the Christian, and you can't witness in every situation. There are ways to witness to these people outside of their open sin.
@mermaidofsuburbia most people that worship the Lord do not think that they are righteous, that's the whole reason we NEED a savior. If we were perfect then there would be no need for forgiveness. God bless you.
In the name of Jesus, let Your kingdom come so that Your will can be done in Mr. Jeremy's life. Impose Yourself, Lord ,into his life and enable him to hear that love song you sing over him, so the eyes of his heart may be opened, and that Mr. Jeremy will know the profound and unconditional love of Jesus. Lord Jesus, You died for Mr. Jeremy even while he was lost; may he know the lengths You went to to have relationship with him. Bless You Lord Jesus Bless You Lord.
Ron will get in to heaven before a lot of people who think they are in for sure. Compassion and mercy count for a lot more than refraining from being in pornos.
@endofthedial the only thing that matters is whether we accepted or rejected the forgiveness that Jesus offers. If Jesus is not the forgiver of our sin then being good to the poor will have been irrelevant. However, compassion and mercy are evidences of a heart of good will which Jesus will not ignore.
You definitely don't have to be a Christian to like gospel music. It's just a kind of music, nothing more. Some people listen it because of they believe in what the songs say, some just like them...
The Lord has a way to touch everyone, regardless of their background. For Ron, that's music, and I think that's great. It doesn't where Ron goes from there, but one thing is for sure, a seed has been planted.
The seed has been planted. Now it is up to God and prayers for this fellow to change. The day he does The Lord will open so many new doors for those who are lost in this industry.
more than just changing *him* i hope it changes us, to realize that people are *people*, and everyone has a story, wants to be heard, and has a propensity for change.
this is sign Ron,for you to give your life to god.just watch how your gonna become a jew christen who's gonna confess on tv how god work a miracle in your life.

I feel your bitterness...why so bitter? I'm not here to convict people of their sins. The Spirit inside of me reveals that to me when He sees fit.
That is all. I pray G-d surrounds you with love and with people that show you unconditional love. This journey is a beautiful one isn't it? :-)
ChachaWalker 1 year ago
I absolutely can. Because each of us has a journey with God that's very personal. All I'm saying is NONE of us know this man's heart and my personal belief is that I would never condemn anyone to hell. I don't like using scare tactics on people, I don't believe it works because it did not work on me. I came to Christ at 12 yrs old because of obligation. I lived in sin for many years after that and through people showing me God's true love, with open arms I ran to Christ! That's just me.
ChachaWalker 1 year ago
Ron, know that Jesus loves you
wingus79 1 year ago
And I would rather stand before God one day and be accountable for overdoing the whole "love your neighbor" thing rather than being held accountable for condeming people to hell.
ChachaWalker 1 year ago
Well I prefer to represent God as a God of love and not one to condemn. Jesus did not come to this world to condem but to save. I believe LOVE wins because God IS LOVE and Ron Jeremy seeing that love is what changes a man's heart. Perfect love casts out fear. And Love covers a multitude of sins.
I choose to love.
ChachaWalker 1 year ago
Not for any of us to judge the man's heart....only God judges the heart. Ron Jeremy deserves love and mercy just like the rest of us.
ChachaWalker 1 year ago
@ChachaWalker Ron Jeremy also deserves hell, just like the rest of us. God sent Jesus Christ to die for sinner, "while they were YET sinners" (Rom. 5:8). But Ron Jeremy has to come to God on God's terms, not his own. And part of those terms is repentance. Mr. Jeremy will repent and admit he has sinned before a holy God or he will go to hell. There is no respect of persons with God.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@ChachaWalker And I want to say one other thing, can you show me any verse in the Bible that says the Ron Jeremy DESERVES love and mercy? Why does he deserve it?

wingus79 1 year ago
@wingus79 You are such a dipshit, dumb fuck supposed "Christian" which you are NOT. Every time someone calls themselves a Christian, I know for a fact they don't act Christ-like.
How on earth can you watch this video and not see that Ron Jeremy has an "open heart"? Because you're a typical Republican hypocrite, that's why.
mermaidofsuburbia 1 year ago
@mermaidofsuburbia wow absolutley no judgement call made there! I'm glad you are so close to wingus79 that you can make those generalized statements! So all is true about liberals also? How about independents? So you must be a supposed "whatever" because you represent something no matter what it may be. Ron Jeremy does have an open heart - it's just closed to God. He was making a simple prayer. No Christian can act Christ like - there is only 1 Christ. That's why he died for us.
antmat91 1 year ago

@l3thDisciple I am fully aware of what I am in God's eyes, sir. I never pretend to be "holy-roller-ness." @aThinkingChristian James 4:11-12 (just a few verses down): "Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?"
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@lrfcowper I'm judging the METHOD, and are we not supposed to "judge righteous judgment"? Are you not judging my response to this as being wrong? This whole "thou shalt not judge" is blown way out of proportion.
I don't doubt the motive of this pastor, but he's not honoring Jesus Christ by getting this vile man, who loves his sin & profession, and who exploits women daily, up in a church to "share" about his life and his faith, etc. Say what you want, but God is not in that.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian You mean the method where he befriends the lost and shares his life with them? The one that Jesus used?
Of course Ron Jeremy is a vile man. We should expect no different from an unsaved person. And if you actually read the articles, you'll note that while Ron Jeremy has gone to church with Craig Gross, he's never been on the stage in a church, only in universities and the like, which is also an outreach to the lost.
Gross's ministry isn't yours. Still doesn't make it wrong.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@l3thDisciple Oh, and perhaps you'd like to post the teachings of Jesus regarding this man that I'm to follow? How about this one...
When the Pharisees brought the woman caught in adultery (John 7:53-8:11; relevant here, wouldn't you say?), what did Jesus tell her after her accusers went away? "GO AND SIN NO MORE." Was Jesus all cuddly, setting up debates with her on the good and bad of committing adultery? NO! She was wrong and he told her so. Ron Jeremy needs to "go and sin no more."
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian and yet he didn't scold her, tell her she deserved no friends of or through christ.. and yet here you sit, bitching that ron jeremy is an enemy of god, worthless as a friend, even to a christian, and then blast christian music.. you sir, suck at follwoing the exact thing you claim to know.. so it's not me who needs to learn the bible.. i learned enough to not use it as a pretext to my existence..
l3thDisciple 1 year ago
@l3thDisciple Let's just get through all the junk, shall we? Did the Bible say he's the enemy of God or not? Let's see your "learning."
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian How, praytell, are we supposed to bring people into relationship with Christ if we do not get to know them first? Jesus didn't scream at sinners from street corners, he went and ate with them in their homes. Matter of fact, he was so infamous for eating and drinking with sinners-- tax collectors and prostitutes, the worst sinners of the day-- that he was called a drunkard and a glutton.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@lrfcowper Do you think Jesus sat shirtless next to the shirtless sinner, while they read each others books. The sinners being about porn, and smiling about it? Go read the CNN article on this issue and look at the picture they posted.
Jesus did eat with them and did go to their homes, BUT HE NEVER BECAME LIKE THEM TO WIN THEM. That is the difference. Jesus would not have gone into a bar or nightclub to "debate" the right and wrong of a vile sin. There is no debate. It's wrong.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian What's wrong with sitting shirtless next to someone? When did that get to be a sin? And the "sinner's" book is about his life, not just about porn.
Craig Gross hasn't become like Ron Jeremy to win him, either. Spending time with someone discussing things isn't becoming like them.
Paul stood among the idols and discussed the idol 'to an unknown god' with those who worshiped those very idols. Was he wrong? Isn't idol worship a vile sin?
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@lrfcowper The man's life IS porn. What value can that be to Gross? The two of them looking the same (shirtless) and reading the other person's book sends a message. It says, "We're equals." No, they are not the same. One is a child of God and the other a child of the Devil. They are polar opposites. Should Gross try to win Jeremy to Christ? Certainly. But Jeremy should know that there is a clear difference between what he believes & what a Christian is. The lines seem blurry in this video.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian Are you actually questioning the worth of another human being, created by God, created in His image, and so loved by God that He watched him being knit in his mother's womb and knows the number of hairs on his head? What value is Ron Jeremy to Gross? The same value he is to God-- he is God's beloved child who is lost and needs saving. Go back to the CNN article and find the testimony of another person involved in porn who came to Christ through Gross's ministry. It works.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@lrfcowper No, why would I question the worth of another human being? Jesus died for Jeremy just like he died for you and me. BUT, he is not God's "beloved child." He is the Devil's child. You have to be careful, friend. Mixing this up can cause a person to go too far with this issue, which, I admit, is challenging, and must be taken on a case by case basis. You won't find a verse in the Bible that says that Jeremy is God's child.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@lrfcowper I want to point something else out, too. Consider how Jesus dealt with people. To the religious leadership he was very harsh, & they deserved it. To the people he showed compassion, but in one-on-one conversations he ALWAYS got straight to the point. With the woman at the well, "you've had 5 husbands," with the woman in adultery, "Go and sin no more." You didn't see him stretching these things out. He brought people to points of decision & moved on. I'm not seeing that pattern here.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@lrfcowper So how would I handle Ron Jeremy? I'd treat him with the same kindness that Gross is. I'd have the 100% motive of leading him to Christ. I'd allow the relationship to develop to a point where I could clearly and plainly give him the whole Gospel (you know, the stuff about hell and repentance), and push him to a point of decision. If he rejected it, I would leave the door open for future conversation, but I would move on. I certainly wouldn't travel with him like a circus act.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian What you see as a "traveling circus", I see as an ongoing ministry. Each time they do these debates he reaches someone new. And who knows when Ron will come to his "point of decision"? Maybe he'll be saved yet.
matrok1962 1 year ago
@matrok1962 Then end never justifies the means. That is not found in the Bible. As a matter of fact, I can show you where it was detrimental. Remember when the Jews complained about not having water? God told Moses to SPEAK to a rock & water would come out. Moses was made at them, so he HIT the rock. Did water come out? Yep. Did he please the Lord? Nope. God expects holiness & obedience REGARDLESS of the motive. It is not God's will for Gross to defile himself morally to win Jeremy to Christ.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian I can respect that you are the weaker brother in this context and couldn't maintain a friendship with Jeremy without being tempted into sin. But from the outside, only befriending someone to lead them to Christ and dropping them if they don't respond the first time you present the Gospel message looks very manipulative. That doesn't look very much like love. Jesus had only 3 years of ministry, but he still maintained a friendship with a man he KNEW was going to betray him.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@lrfcowper Ah, now, don't get all Pharisaical on me. The issue is not maintaining a friendship with a man who has ruined the lives of thousands of men, women & children. The issue is WHERE Gross goes with that man to be a "witness." If you're going to look down your righteous nose at me, tell me, would Jesus attend "EXXXotica NY" to reach a sinner? Now I know you're not "weak" like me & you can go to such places & never lust one time while "loving the sinner." But I choose to live in reality.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian I never said I could go to such a place. I probably couldn't, though my sin in that context is more likely to be anger than lust. But I don't choose to look at the ministry of those who can as being suspect because I think my weakness somehow makes me "holier" than they are.
Would Jesus go to EXXXotica NY to reach a sinner? Sure he would. He regularly dined with sinners and I somehow doubt all of them dressed, spoke and acted appropriately while he was there.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@lrfcowper Furthermore, I never said that I would drop Jeremy if he didn't respond the first time I presented the Gospel to him. You're reading into my words. Go back and actually look at what I said. Maybe you missed the part where I said, "I'd allow the relationship to develop..." That may take longer than 3 years. BUT, I will not SIN to win a man to Christ. The ends NEVER justify the means. And you're a liar if you claim you can go into an XXX play land & remain pure in your heart.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@lrfcowper Go watch the video "Craig Gross at EXXXOTICA NY" and tell me if you get the impression that Mr. Gross thinks porn is wrong for EVERYONE. Now, tell me, does Jesus think it's wrong for everyone?
Final question: in light of the answers to the last two questions, does Craig Gross see the issue the SAME way that Jesus does?
"LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU, which was also in Christ Jesus." Phil. 2:5
For the record, I don't question Gross' MOTIVES, but I certainly question his METHODS.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian I think the interviewer slanted the questions and Craig tried to answer them in a way that kept the dialogue open. Go to XXXchurch's site and look at what's posted there, like to the person who asked if it was okay for a married couple to watch porn together. The answer: "NO. NO. NO. This is a cheap substitute for the real thing. What starts as an aid often become a substitute." I don't see ANYTHING there that approves of porn for ANYONE.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian I think you're mistaking practicality for compromise. Pornographers are not likely to ever step through a church door. The church has abandoned them. They are the prodigals of our generation, with the exception that many of them DON'T know the generous nature of the father as the prodigal son did. XXXchurch is going where they are and starting with that very fact-- that there is one who loves them unconditionally, right now, and they don't need to change first or earn it.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian See, too often we tell "bad" sinners that they have to overcome certain sins first before they can come to Christ. But none of us can overcome sin without the blood of Jesus and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We're asking them to do something impossible. They've been told this so long, hated so thoroughly, burned so badly, made to feel worthless so completely, that it's going to take a long while and some careful handling or you end up damaging them more.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@lrfcowper If you think I think this way, you've serious misjudged me. You can't clean a fish until you catch it. I expect Jeremy to act this way. He's a lost man. But I don't expect Gross to go to, basically, a professional brothel and set up a table to help those who "think they've gone too far" in their porn. He's not out to eradicate that filthy lifestyle all-together. He just wants to help those who have gone "too far."
I'll stress it again: it's never right to do wrong, to do right.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian He's avoiding Christianese while talking to a secular reporter by using 'gone too far'. If you look on his website, you'll find that he isn't tolerant of porn at all. He just loves the people involved. And, no, he isn't out to eradicate that filthy lifestyle altogether. You can't make non-Christians behave like Christians. It just won't happen. The only way to eradicate it is to convert EVERYONE. He's reaching out to those who know they have a problem, starting there.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@lrfcowper Wait! So Christians should try to get laws passed against wicked behavior in our country? Would America's Founders have tolerated it in the public like we do today? No one is asking non-Christians to behave like Christians. But Christians should be very outspoken against all forms of wickedness. Doing a shirtless photo-op with Jeremy and pretending to read his book, which is filled with the glorification of porn, is NOT pleasing to the Lord. It may be "funny" to some, but not God.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian Let me ask you this-- has the ratio of Christians in America gone up or down since the Moral Majority entered into American politics and started trying to get immorality outlawed instead of trying to eradicate it through changing people's hearts? Has openness toward the Gospel, acceptance of Christians, and general public morality gone up or down? 1) It isn't effective at reaching people or changing the society. 2) It isn't what we're called to do.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@lrfcowper I have no idea. I don't follow that type of thing. There is no way to change hearts, and ideas, but through Christ. So let me ask you a question. Should Christians not be involved in politics & try to eradicate evil in the country where our children will grow up? I could give you dozens of quotes from our Founders about the need for America to be both religious and moral. The lost world isn't going to promote this ideals, and the Founders weren't talking about giving the Gospel.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian Of course Christians should be involved in politics and in all other aspects of our society. But that shouldn't be our focus. And Christians should not vilify other Christians for following the Great Commission ahead of other works they could be doing. It may be that prophecy (not foretelling the future, but speaking out to society) is your ministry. It isn't Craig Gross's. The mouth should not criticise the hand for being a hand and doing hand things. That's all I'm saying.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@lrfcowper And all I'm trying to say is that the mouth SHOULD criticize the hand if the hand is reaching through the mud to get the candy when the body was designed to get the candy without going through the mud. The problem is that the "mud" has been redefined over the years until now one calls it "mud" and others call it a "door." Mud is and will always be mud. And God never asks us to go through the mud when a clean way is provided. Jesus never sinned while reaching others. Neither should we.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian I fail to see how Craig Gross is sinning. Just because you would sin in that situation does not mean that Craig Gross necessarily will. Only Christ knows Craig's heart and we are not to judge.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@lrfcowper I'm not judging Gross. I'm looking at reality. Are you saying you could go to a place like that and not lust? C'mon. I'm too old to fall for that line of reasoning. I don't know a man alive that wouldn't struggle in there. But again, I appeal to Scripture. Show me where Jesus ever dealt with people that didn't necessarily want him there while they were in their sin. And don't say the Pharisees. He sharply rebuked them with strong language. If Gross is blasting that way, God bless him.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian I probably could, being female and straight, go to such a place and not lust. As I said before, I'm more likely to commit violence than lust at someplace like that. But that's beside the point. I'm not Craig Gross. I'm not a telepath/empath. Neither are you. We don't know what Craig Gross thinks or feels. Saying you do is JUDGING. Period.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@lrfcowper LOL! Sorry, I guess I assumed you were a guy. My wife would be with you. She'd be very angry.
But having revealed your gender, allow me to make a plain statement to you that you probably won't like: you're not a man and you have no idea how a man thinks, or about the power of lust over a man's heart. I'm sure you've noticed that sex sells, and that 95% of it is directed towards men. That should tell you something. But when you think you have it, you still have no idea. You can't.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@lrfcowper I'm not judging Gross. But he's a man like me, and not gay that I can tell. So this knowledge allows me to know some things about him without ever having met him. And one of those things is that he is attracted to extremely beautiful women who aren't wearing many clothes. I don't expect you to understand that, but it's true. That's why I say I'm looking at the reality of the situation. God makes a way for Christians to be a witness without getting dirty themselves.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@aThinkingChristian My husband works for an ISP. A part of his job is occasionally looking at pages to see whether they qualify as porn and, thus, should be removed from their servers. By your lights, every time my husband looks at a page that is porn he immediately sins because he cannot help it. You don't seem to have much faith in the power of the Holy Spirit.
I'm pretty sure the Samaritan woman at the well didn't want Jesus there. She tried to start a pointless religious argument with him.
lrfcowper 1 year ago
@lrfcowper No, I don't have faith in the flesh. Paul said that in it dwells "NO good thing." The real question you and your husband need to ask is, "Does Jesus want him to EVER look at porn so he can make money?"
The woman at the well was coming to draw water. She wasn't offering Jesus a sex toy or a free night with her if he signs up for some porn promotion. There is a big difference between John 4 and EXXXOTICA, NY.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@lrfcowper But I think you're missing the point, and, once again, misunderstanding me. You keep trying to push this banner over my head that tells the lost to be like Jesus. I've never even implied such a belief. I'm talking strictly about METHODS on how to reach the lost....[continued]
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
[continued] Do you believe there can be right motives but wrong methods? I do. Yes, Jesus went into the homes of the lost, but he was WANTED, & certainly he wasn't waiting in the lobby of the whore's house while she finished up with her customer. Forgive the brashness, but I'm trying to make a point. The only time I recall in his life that a group of people dared to live sinfully IN his presence was at the temple & he threw over their tables and whipped them. No, he would not go to EXXXOTICA NY.
aThinkingChristian 1 year ago
@lrfcowper I understand what you're trying to say, and I will admit that there is a fine line with these issues. Jesus would never have been in a situation like Gross puts himself in. Even in a harlot's house she would have been extremely modest compared to what you can see at Wal-Mart today if you go there. Our world is different. But there still must be lines drawn for the Christian, and you can't witness in every situation. There are ways to witness to these people outside of their open sin.

Bless You Lord Jesus Bless You Lord.

ron is a nice guy and honest too, hope he repents of his sins

Ron will get in to heaven before a lot of people who think they are in for sure. Compassion and mercy count for a lot more than refraining from being in pornos.
endofthedial 2 years ago

I don't judge Ron for what he does. Jesus paid for Ron's sins just as he did mine. God bless you Ron.

more than just changing *him* i hope it changes us, to realize that people are *people*, and everyone has a story, wants to be heard, and has a propensity for change.
