yea 1994 when they only had 3 albums out the first being all their 7" put together. Their first 3 albums is definitely their best stuff. This is my favorite track from 1039, I still play this song at open mic nights occasionaly and people don't know it and are surprised when I say its Green Day circa 1989

@Greg509 I agree but I love Insomniac, that being there fourth, I am a Green Day fan and I enjoy all of there music but the music on there first four definitely appeal to me more. I don't know if its a little dirtier, or a little more punk inspired or what. I have not bought a CD since Insomniac. But, every record they make has a few good ones.

I don't know what got those guys through those years with so much energy and pure passion. Either it was the acid or a burning commitment and love for what they're doing. But they still have the latter, so I think it was that all along.

But they were so popular the clubs had to be shut down because so many people were showing up at their gigs.
