  • Not sure WTF is going on at S&W, but I've been hearing a lot of this. My own limited experience with their customer service has been pretty ridiculously bad. I won't be buying any of their products until they get their shit together. I hope your issue gets resolved to your satisfaction eventually.

  • I'm sorry about your issues... I haven't had an issue with my 1986 production 686 no dash. It looks like pre-lock, pre-MIM Smiths are the way to go. I think you'll prefer your revolvers Hilary-hole free as well. I'd give a old S&W a chance before you go to a Ruger.

  • @icyaquarius86 thanks man. yeah pre-lock S&W revolvers are the way go...built like tanks.

  • My 686 plus has the same issue. Barrel misalignment. S&W does not get a second chance with me. Piss on them. My Rugers are built perfect and SP101 is a daily CCW. I wont buy another firearm from Smith & Wesson. The GP-100 aint as pretty but the damn thing is perfect.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES yeah I agree thanks for the comment

  • @MrCleanerNash it is a shame because my talo 686+ is beautiful. My barrel misalignment is nowhere near as bad as yours however. I really want the 629 performance center .44 mag snub, but Smith & Wesson is now a gamble on quality control.

  • i was thinking of buying a s&w revolver... not no more! lol

  • @manola187 well if you do must make sure you look it over with a microscope before you buy it lol.

  • Sucks that you had such bad luck with this revolver.. I bought a S&W 686 6 shot with a six inch barrel and after watching your video I inspected mine very closely and didn't have a single issue that you have. It's a sweet gun and I reccommend people give it a chance at least in the six inch version,

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI if its a post-lock version your lucky

  • @MrCleanerNash People make way to big of a deal about the locking mechanism. Just because a couple people have had issues with it, there are hundreds of these revolvers sold daily and the majority are fine with no issues. Also, the entire locking mechanism can be removed in about 5 minutes.

  • I'll be taking a bunch of detailed pictures before I send it though...

  • @DocTacDad yeah definately and insist on sending it to them via email.

  • This video reminded me that I need to send in mine...I'll be doing it tomorrow to see what they will do for it. Thanks

  • I own 2 Ruger GP-100's and they are great. Give em a trigger job and they are downright unreal. Think of all the people who shoot Ruger singles. There is a reason.

I own a S&W 617 .22 talk about overpriced. I also own a SW1911. Talk about too much money for the gun. That SW1911 is all MIM, had I known when I bought it I would have shelled out for a cheap Kimber instead. At least I would have something I could work with. Even the barrel has divits in it from god knows what. Crap & too expensive.

  • @DobermansRock yeah older S&W 1911's are garbage. Although I hear the new E Series is very nice. I hear ya on Ruger. thanks bro

  • Did you buy your shotgun yet? Which one are you going to go with?

  • @skoobalon I was very close to getting the 870 tactical but now that the kel-tec 14 rd shotty is due out soon I'm saving my coin for that. I might wait a few more months though for prices to come down and to fix some first run bugs if any. thanks for asking and will surely do an update vid when I get one. god bless

  • Wow, that's pretty bad on their part, in fact it's bordering on incompetence that just looks like "oh can't find the rubber mallet use the fucking ball and peen hammer" I mean really? If it's a problem with the vice it shouldn't be a big frigen deal to wrap it in tape or put some slabs of soft wood between it.

  • @shiv317 agreed...I think a monkey could have done better lol...seriously though it just makes them look bad

  • @Paragon9000 I know its a damn shame really that something so beautiful can't be made right. thanks for the support bro

  • I wonder if it might help for you to send S&W the link to your video's about their gun and their customer service; let them know how many gun enthusiasts have looked at your video's-communicate to them the fact that it is in their best interest to resolve the problem to your satisfaction-they could look at this as an opportunity to undo all of the negative impact this has had on their reputation. Electronic media reaches many more people than print media-this should get their attention

  • @51Dss agreed. thanks for the advice and support its apppreciated.

  • Wow... That is horrible. I am sorry that this has happened to you. Please keep us updated on the process. Thanks for sharing.

  • @edgedweapon88 Yeah big let down from S&W. I had high expectations but not after this fiasco. thanks for the support Keelen.

  • Were they trying to beat the gun into submission?

  • @ArtisanTony I have no clue. I'm sure a monkey could have been more careful though

  • I'm pretty sure their gunsmiths are mutant gorillas with crab hands. Ridiculous.

  • @Grubkat lol something like that yeah

  • S&W CS has really gone down hill, and its a damn shame since they have a stranglehold on the revolver market.

  • @G0neTomorrow yeah I agree...not much else you can get of high quality

  • @G0neTomorrow the new revolvers are not worth buying. THey are junk it sucks

  • @TheChamberofFarts agreed 100%. I found out the hard way

  • @MrCleanerNash so did i man. i bought a brand new 629 classic and the forcing cone and inside of the barrel were already eroding i couldnt believe it

  • @TheChamberofFarts damn bro. its crazy cuz everyone thats telling me of their revolver issue is talking about a Smith and not a Ruger. You would think it would be the other way around consider the price increase of the Smith.

  • wow..thanks for this info..I think you should definitely address this w/ a manager or go above his head even..I would..they better step up their game..they getting exposed by the yt gun community..I'd send them your videos if you can.

  • @768Kayshan yeah I'm thinkin' about doing that. We'll see how it turns out. thanks for the comment buddy

  • Good lord dude I didnt know they did all that to it..and the worst part is that they knew that they did that and still sent it back..but remember the wheel that squeeks the loudest gets the most oil

  • @lskw1 lol true ... thanks for the support dude

  • I know how you feel man it drives me crazy having to send something back to manufacturer that is brand new for one reason or another.. they need better quality control and if something is questionable it should not leave the factory.

  • @SyrianKnight01 my thoughts exactly. thanks bro

  • im sorry that you have to go thru this problem...we as gun community in youtube need to raise up and really expose bad customer service of big or small companies...and im really sorry about the situation

  • @jjoonie1 Agreed. thanks man I appreciate the comment.

  • This is a complete shame. I could see one time sending it back but this is pure nonsense! I hope they issue a new one because after all of this, I think you deserve it.

  • @KryptKeeper40 thanks my friend god bless

  • Sorry to hear that, dude. I'd give em one last shot and deal direct with the mgr. This is totally beyond excuse and they should be replacing the gun at this point. I don't know when companies are going to learn that with the advent of user forums and especially YouTube...it is absolutely impossible to cover up or hide from BS like this -- and we're gonna make sure they are held accountable for their actions.

  • @MrJimbofox yeah exactly. We'll see if they can make it right. They have one last shot in my book. I appreciate your support Jimbo means alot!

  • Whoa...that's really crappy...and damaged it further? Thank you for keeping us updated. Sorry that S&W can't make this right!

  • @ShotGunShanni yeah pretty bummed. we'll see if they can make it right by replacing it with a new one. I'm not holding my breath lol.

  • This is sad to hear from a respected USA company. Like smith & wesson. Keep us posted. I'll send it back and have the manager look at it.

  • @prchico520 will do thanks for the support bro

  • If it was mine and they were going to send you a ups lable I would send it back have the mgr have it his hands when you talk to him .I think the quicker you get to them the quicker it can be delt with . I would be fed up with sending it back and forth . There system sucks, but I would send it back one last time .

  • @krazy45cat Yeah I hear ya. I need reassurance directly from a manager to feel comfortable doing that. Unfortunately customer service likes to sugar coat the facts so its hard to gauge if you will get the right result.

  • So disapointing. It really bothers me watching companies let customer service levels fall. I hope for your sake it gets fixed. I'm very uneasy about sending my 6" 686+ in to have the barrel alignment fixed now...

  • @fixedgearjerk Knowing what I know now, I'd probably save yourself the aggravation and live with it. I wish I could give you better advice. I appreciate the support tthanks buddy.

  • Dude just send it to the YankeeMarshal. He'll fix it! ;-)

  • @CTKTMRIDER haha I know right. I need him on speed-dial for emergencies lol

  • Unreal man. Thanks for keeping us updated

  • @TheFireArmGuy thanks for the support

  • That sucks big time. Been wanting one of their 1911's but now I ain't so sure. Keep us posted.

  • @MyHollowpoint As far as I know its only an issue with their revolvers but definately makes you think twice about it
