I don't understand this video. I have PowerPoint for mac 2008. Where is "Make a Movie"? My version says File---Save as Movie. Why is there an extra step opening in Quicktime? Save as Movie creates a .mov file. However, no matter what settings I use, there is no audio in the Quicktime movie. My narration is lost. Power Point (2008) does not work for this operation! Use Keynote. It exports easily to Quicktime and the narration is transferred perfectly.

Thanks for taking the time to share this! I'm new to PowerPoint but use Mac (now Snow Leopard) with perhaps an earlier version of PowerPoint than what you're using. I was a little curious about the font used (with those paintbrush-like strokes) and the slide design (what it's called). Really nice presentation!

You can always save the PPT as picture files (jpg, bmp, etc) and import them into movie maker, imovie, photo story, etc - then add the audio and export the video file, and upload the file to youtube. Cost: $0

This process is easier if you drop the MS Powerpoint and use Apple's own Keynote. It exports directly to Quicktime - no need for QT Pro and it's hefty pricetag. Plus Keynote is superior to PPT in almost every regard. If you're on an Apple, use Keynote.
