The car in this footage is a Cord L 29 (front wheel drive). Very rare and beautiful. A product of the Auburn-Cord-Duesenburg empire of Auburn, Indiana.
Great film. It is so much better to have them here than collecting dust in the attic. Thanks for sharing. These old records of life are fascinating and will be even more so the older they become. Remember, you and I are in the pioneering stage of the Internet. People 4 thousand years from now will see these and marvel. Your great, great, great, great, great grandchildren will see these. Imagine that! The "number" who have viewed will someday hit a billion!
Actually, the house looks like the old Sheets house that used to be appoximately where Village Green Apartments are now. A local family bought it and moved it out to 550E, just a mile off of Metz Road.
Who wouldnt think this Video is AWESOME. My dad saw this video and remembered when he was a boy .He pointed out his old bedroom at Pokagon when his dad was the grounds keeper. Gotta love the old memories.
This film was sitting on the shelf at the Fort Wayne Historical Society, I was so pleased, after hounding them for months, that they decided to donate the film to us. I am happy that people are enjoying this treasured piece of history.
Cool, Cord L-29; 1st front-wheel drive! This in Indiana, so it's a native car. House reminds me of E. L. Cord's place, so that coupled with the L-29 makes me wonder if this is he?

@ghostma13 i immediatley put it on mute. it sounded like they were about to play some 80s music, who knows. 80s with 1930 does not go well together.

I'm afraid it doesn't, but then it's not as if I ever studied intensely the biographies of the car-makers - only the cars!
