personally I dont think its a big deal that he copied! Copying is ok to me if the original artist is given credit for their work! Alot of the artists do copy..Its kinda good cuz then we could listen to things that our parents grew up listening to in a more modern version by singers we listen to.

first of all the original wasn't sing 20 years ago. it was more like 30 to 35 years ago. i have a mahfli cassette from Zahir howaida, ahmad wali and ahmad zahir singing all together. Zahir howaida sings this song there. recently it was ahmad zahir's 30 year passing celebration.. so it has to be more than 30 years..

second, this kind of song.. and musical note is suited with thick ghur awaz.. not fake,, gayesh voice.
