  • Didn't this thing nearly rip will smith a new one in "I ROBOT"

  • quiero ver que hagan lo mismo... pero con un ferrari XD

  • that would make a good prank on some one, rip the engine out and watch to see the face once they come back to there car lol.

  • I hear that's how Chrysler puts them in too!

  • mmm... all those fluids leaking all over the ground seems like a great find for the EPA...

  • @SirFrag32 - The SAS Scorpion Engine Puller, is recommended to be used on cars that have already been properly drained. Additionally, as shown in the video, use on a concrete surface, with proper containment measures to allow control of any residual fluids.

  • the most incredible mechanical dinosaurs ever made.

  • why not^^

  • just imagine the damage a disgruntle employee or theif would cause if they took that out for a test drive LOL..

  • what is the other thing they started pulling out at 1.50 and 2.10? kinda looks just like rubbish... or was it just to prove it can rape cars?

  • @dawgunna - The SAS Scorpion Engine Puller is primarily used to pull engines and transmissions from vehicles for scrap metal recycling. 1.50-2.10 on the video also shows auto recyclers pulling dash out to expose the copper. Copper is very valuable and there is a good quantity of it in the dash.

  • they can still take the engine out of a vw bus faster ^.^ only a minute :D

  • yeh, it can pull the engines fast, but how quickly can it install them in a different car?

  • Total stupid système !!!

Bonjour la pollution, meme pas vidangé en plus; demeurés !!

  • The american way...

  • wow, thats a recylers dream, not exactly used for reusable engines.

  • thats nowhere close to the japanese version from back in 2001, but it has a place in smaller yards , The version fitted to excavators is a much-much better broom as well

    my-2-cents-worth.

  • 02:23 to 03:22 clearly demonstrates misuse & quite possibly voiding the warranty of this attachment. Although handy, the engineer obviously DID NOT design these to be used in a matter such as this. Exerting enough pressure on the front-end loader to clear the front wheels off of the ground is dangerous! Squishing vehicles sideways with the claws is an invatation to burst a hydraulic line; especially a single one. Please utilize employees that comprehend the owner's guide, & are OSHA compliant.

  • @Gordon302 your actually an idiot. This is a promotional video by the company that makes this machinery. You try to sound like you know what your talking about but you actually have no idea.

  • Sweet, power of hydraulics.

  • In Sweden they crush the engines in the cars, minus liquads, minus glass and tires and battery. Cool piece of machinary though!!

  • damn it take me like 3 hours to take out a motor hahah

  • @madisonelectronic lmfao!!!!

  • How much does one of these run ? I might get sum of these for my scrap yards

If anyone has numbers just answer me on here , thanks

  • The one blue Grand Am and Regal should not have been wrecked, they were decent straight looking cars. The silver T-Bird too perhaps but we never saw it before that thing pulled the hood off.

  • This has to be another ridiculously huge waste just like c4c

  • a ricers worst nightmare

  • just stick the car in the shredder it all ends on the same pile anyways

  • @GWR4079 - The SAS Scorpoin Engine Puller allows scrap metal recyclers better recovery on aluminum, cast and copper. Seperating these primary metals before general shredding of the car, prevents undesirable loss in fluff.

  • this is a really good machine

  • Those are toy engines. I was hoping to see it used on over the road trucks. Could we maybe get a video of that?

  • Lets see it reinstall the engine. Then I would be impressed

  • id buy that for a dollar

  • @idope a mate of mine got the job of lifting all the manholes and covers and replacing them in the local area, each day they would gather the old ones up. now they have a mountian of them and worth a fortune in scrap, lucky him!

  • Such a waste, there are so many reuseable parts in these cars, that have at least 10 years of life left in them. Why not strip the reuseable parts, and recycle the rest instead of bashing everything to death.

  • thats pretty cool. all those crappy yank cars getting the guts ripped out of them!

  • now lets see it putting one back in......

  • @foxdmulder I'm sure it could put one back in, it just wouldn't run... Ever.

  • stupid shit this. crushing good cars is the most stupid thing ever!!

  • yea I know, but thats the parishable consumeristic socity for you.

  • In Canada it is still fairly common for people to make a living or extra money with steel recycling.

  • I'd love to see this happen to my Dodge.

  • Cash for clunkers

  • good idea b ut wat about al te gagged matae that can cuase a flat tire on other vehicles? kinda messy!!!

  • i agree with super u need 2 drain the fluids first

  • it makes me kinda queasy watching this is that bad?

  • sounds like crushing a soda can damn

  • 1:43 Try draining your fluids first. The rest of us like clean drinking water.

  • No kidding! That's nasty!

  • They do, as a matter of course. Things often get left open after doing so, though, so what you saw was most likely rainwater accrued while the vehicle was left sitting outside. =)

  • @SuperSexySamba moaron

  • @SuperSexySamba

Pity you didn't notice the vehicles are being dismembered on a concreted area i.e. catchment trap which leads to a fluid interceptor. If you had any fookin idea how a modern recycling plant works you would know this, rather than making stupid public comments. Muppet!

  • It's cool. But just toss it in the shredder. the engine will be crap anyway, if you rip it out like that

  • Scorpion Engine Puller to earn more money on every car they process. The scrap engine and transmission are typically worth more than just the crushed car body.

  • @EngineeredToughForks

Not when y ou remove them like that they're not.. If you're not refering to alloy being higher metal price than common mixed steel..

  • I have taken many cars for recycling. You take the engine and tranny out and salvage and separate the aluminum parts and the engine block also separate to get the most money.

  • What's the point of this.

The engine will be total scrap once you rip it out like that.

  • Auto scrap processors utilize this Scorpion Engine Puller to earn more money on every car they process. The scrap engine and transmission are typically worth more than just the crushed car body.

  • I want one. But the Regal was still shiny.

  • wie ne armeise :-D

  • thats got to be a 9 year olds dream job

  • And whats the whole idea to take the engine out of the car? The car and engine is just shredder feed anyway so??

  • perhaven, L.O.L. "its more fun to rip out the engine".,ALSO MANY NEWER ENGINES HAVE MANY ALUMINUM PARTS MAKING THEM WORTH MORE FOR SCRAP.

  • and a lot of times a crushes cant smash an engine.

  • L.O.L IT WILL RIP THE HEART OUT THEN THE VEINS TOO! it rips those old engines& transmissions out then the wireharness for scrap copper too.its ultra modern tool but you can use it the old fashioned way too and just crush it with the forks too... for some on the job fun also:)

  • its jaws and forks look & work just like a praying MANTIS i would like to see it eat the guts from a VW BEETLE!

  • i seen earlir someone asked for an average price on these, and i run a yard which is purchasing one soon and they go for 50g, sorry for mispells at work typing fast lol

  • I need a bumper for my teal Pontiac, thanks for making my job harder. It's shame that All those parts are gone now. Why did I bother rating this video?I should'nt have.

  • And that is why it got 1 star from me.

  • Apparently, there are 30,000 parts in the average car. Its a sad indictment on automobile manufacturing that all the time and energy that goes into their manufacture comes to this. It seems that unlike, say, a bicycle, with its standardization and small number of parts, cars end up like this while the vast majority of their components are still functional.

  • Yeah, I kind of agree, but sometimes when there is no big demand for a part, there is no use in keeping it. To make new cars, you have to recycle old cars. It saves on the cost of producing completely new materials, which would raise the cost of materials in the end. Rather than having them pile up and the salvages not having any room for more cars, they eventually have to be recycled. Allot of parts are saved in the modern salvage business.

  • Exactly, Mr. Tbird. As the world begins to run short on oil, perhaps, and this is just a Utopian fantasy, there will be more standardization of parts. There already are multiplatform cars like the volkswagen Golf and the new Beetle. If they new electric technologies had across the board standards they would be cheaper to mass produce and allow for technological improvements like a desktop computer with its modular systems. Anybody could design and sell a battery like they do for a ICE car.

  • The world is not only running short on oil, but also on a lot of other things. I cant say this enough but recycling is going to get only bigger and bigger. That is our future. There are so many precious metals that are going to run out that if we dont do something, they'll be gone. Most people dont even bother to recycle, but they will soon enough.

  • Should read...

"Heres how to get that steel and Iron to China Quicker!!"

  • also useful for:

    emergency c-sections

  • I guess these engines must not have any salvage value even parts are worth more money than scrap. I dont know if its legal in all states to have fluids draining out as the engines are removed.with no containment.environmental hazards...

  • Not a bad idea. The powertrain ripping function is great. I not so sure about using it to flatten the car after, it seems make more of a mess of the car and you wouldn't be able to stack as many cars as compared to using a crusher, but all of it's other features are great. How much do you sell these for???

  • good bit of kit,,,hey you meant to drain fluids first

  • if cars saw this theyed be like oh...OH GOD!! OH ITS RIPPING OUT THE ENGINE!!! AAAHH lol (provided they could talk and watch vids)

  • love it

  • Its like a horror film for cars.

  • This scorpion puller should be use by the police for pulling those illegal street racer's engines and transmissions. Especially for those illegal street racers who use expensive cars such as Mitsubishi Evolution, Subaru Impreza, Toyota Supra, BMW M3, Lamborghini and etc.

  • HELL YEAH

  • Hahaha yeah right, They sell those cars in police auctions.

  • omg that made me sick. wouldn't that thing do so much damage to the engine in the process that it would be rendered useless?

  • Yes. This is used by scrap metal recyclers to extract engines and transmissions purely for the cast iron and aluminum.

  • @EngineeredToughForks how many times do they have to be told? lol that thing is brutal i want one

  • @EngineeredToughForks what is the price of this machine?thanks

  • Imagine that thing on a grocery parking lot

  • That is a really cool machine.

  • That's all well and good, but can you use the scorpion puller to put the engine back?

  • ABSOLUTELY!

  • Absolutely, with a little love and a whole lotta KY Anything is possible...

  • it fun but very dirty job

in France you must evacuate and collect all liquids before destructing a vehicle

  • That makes sense... all of those fluids go straight into the ground water. You get junkyard oil-mud.

  • This is meant to be used on cars that have been pre-drained, used on a concrete pad with spill control curbing and a fluid containment oil seperator.

  • These cars look pretty juicy...

  • no pay 3 tickets? bah no engine for you lol

  • So EVIL!

  • hahahha screw the repo man, set these out on the road to take care of those cars!

  • This car still serves me
