White guy playing the asian main character? Thats Hollywood for you if you didnt noticed. Cause they are afraid that the white crowd will not like it if the main character is an asian guy. They come with the excuse that people arent ready for that... Well when are they ready then?
Umm I'm from the philippines also i'm half russian and half filipino haha not to go against you or anything but Goku isnt really asian he's an alien but ya your right Goku should've been asian like a japanese guy or something because in all their movies they are doing martial arts and eating rice haha anyways everything about the DBZ movie sucks even if its not goku I mean look at the kamehameha it's made up of air and they spent soo much money on that film. Also btw nice english ^^
Carl Anderson played Judas in JC Superstar. Harold Perrineau played Mercutio in Romeo + Juliet. And Samuel Jackson is set to play Nick Fury in the new Avengers movie. Those are all examples of black actors playing traditionally "white" roles, but they still ROCK. So unless you're doing a biopic, I don't see a problem with casting a good actor for a role, regardless of race.
That said, Hollywood screws Asians ALL time, so I can see why it would still be frustrating.

Pretty sure that was strictly for humorous effect, rather than any matter of Black guys not being cool enough... because every White guy secretly knows that Black guys are cooler.... it hurts :)
