  • Thanks as always for the tuts

  • when i hit objects and then the physics button my interface comes out different than yours

    i don`t have a particle panel

  • @DILLIGAF425 use blender 2.49 for this tut, but i recommend using the latest version 2.55

  • i think mine is different can you d a different totorials for the newest version

  • Nice vid. Thx.

  • Keep up the great work. The mark of a great artist is a willing to teach others and help them to excel.

  • thank you so much..

  • You sounds like Mclovin from superbad lol Its awesome

    Anyway nice video

  • Excellent Job, I've never used blender before and followed through no worries

  • how do you make it so that the particles just keep on flowing nad how do u change the clolour?

  • How to get colour?

  • i have version 2.6.2 and i can't this particle motion.. can somebody help me?

  • they only have a 2.49 version... the later is not a windows executable . Do you know something I don't?

    f7 ....

  • @mikefromspace i quess that i was looking at the version of python, i have 2.49b =p

  • @mikefromspace PS: JakandDaxterGlitches is my acc too, so that's why i am replying for JakandDaxterGlitches..

  • That Blender particle emitter feature is limited to a single type of subroutine; ie; particles aren't meant to be able to interact with other particles, so it's only useful as something purely visual, not mechanical. If you want particles that interact, you have to build thousands of actual solids and give them features such as "static" or 'solid body'.

  • Im using the newest version if Blender. In my version it cannot se the "Particle motion" What am I gonna do?

  • wops! I forgot to thank you for your tutorials! That's how I am learning to use blender! THanks Master!

  • HI super3boy!

Do you know why if I set the particles to start at frame 300 and end at 3000 they don't behave like if I set them to start at 1 and end to 100? They are just almost still. Why super3boy?WHy?!! THanks in advance for any suggestion.

  • can someone reply to this comment... when i press "physics buttons" then there dont came anything

  • in the new Blender (2.49b) you have to go to the particle button next to the physics button

(i know that the newest version is 2.5 alpha 1)

  • cool could use this for snow in a scene

  • After watching your vid, i made a video of atomic eplosion of a atom, im uploading it later

  • he is growing and his voice keeps changing!!!

  • For you people with no particle motion button, just change the value of Normal, under Initial Velocity, under the Physics tab. :)

  • Mine doesn't have particle motion :(

  • the graph in his partial motion is in the physics tab

  • Comment removed

  • How to start of animation? i hitting the 'a' = all select...

  • alt and a =]

  • what the hell this is diffrent than the mac version there's ain't pariticle motion!

  • u have to click on the object button f7 and then click on the particles button (gold thing with particles) and that should so it i had same prob at first

  • i dont have the same particles menus as you... when i click object, then particles like you say, four main windows appear along the bottom. particle system, bake, physics visualisation extras & children. are the little bars at the top.... :S PLEASE HELP!

  • first of all - who are you to judge someones voice? to some people your voice may be the very same sound as a screaming baby...

and secondly - im sure we'd all love to see you create a tutorial and so we can all critisise your voice too huh? maybe take a dig at your blender skills - didnt think so...

    enough said XD

  • @xAvatarGurux how do u get blender

  • @legoman341 Google "Blender," and you should see blender.org. Go to "Download" and download the one for your system, and start the installer (exept for Wndows 64-bit, it only comes in a .zip file, so save it to your program files and you should see blender with the file type of Application.). It will prompt you to install Python, and as of this post you'll need Python 2.6, so make sure you stick to that and don't so off into even Python 2.7-It dosen't seem to work.

  • wher eis the 8th?

  • did you make 9? cause there advertising

    it

  • lol dude

  • i was serious

  • ooooo

  • LOL I see it too.

  • how do i make a video out of it? does it have keyframes? how do i render out?

  • how do i add color and glowing to the particles?

  • awesome xD

  • hmm... this is confusing with the new blender. it has its own particle button instead of being in phisics... eh, ill work it out!

  • i tried it, it is pretty easy dude? did you figure it out?

  • ye i got it working for me...

my blender was just a little mixed up! XD

  • Excellent tutorial. Thanks!

  • what video capturerer are you using?

  • i think he's using camstudio cause i see it in the bottom of the screen

  • Camtista I'd think. Hypercam isn't that smooth. I use it myself.

  • what did you click to make it move.I can never make it move.

  • thx

  • How do you color the particles? I'm trying to make a winter scence with snow but the particles are black.

  • How old are you? you know a lot.

  • It'd be interesting to see this tutorial updated for the current version of blender as they've had a relatively large overhaul of the physics/particles panels. You can just about translate the old panel to the new but for someone new (like myself) it's a little daunting! Your tutorials have helped me a great deal to learn Blender, Thanks!

  • Opens blender at 1:15

  • Thanks

  • @acluby thanks

  • hey just wondered i have made a car in blender and a road in another file is there a way to import the car into the road project AND still have all the textures and colour on it so i don't have to do it again thanks

  • Yep, if you'll just imbed any external textures that you added (images and such) by pushing the little "giftbox" looking icon where you load textures in (for each one), then in the new file you can append (under the file menu) the object from the original file.

It should come in at the same spot with all the same settings and textures. It will increase the file size, however.

This also works with individual textures, materials, and so on. Be sure to properly names your assets in each file

  • It's 280 not 218 o.O? xD lol Great videos.

  • ok. i have made my character (johnny the cheese ball) but everything is very laggy when i move him or anything else. i have all of the objects smoothed and sub-surfed. is that the problem?

  • Yes it is. Try having the Sub-Surfed as Level One, but have the Render as level 6

  • hit space go to mesh then click cube

  • hit space, add mesh, cube.

why don't you watch the first blender tutorials of super3boy, they are verry good.

  • woow thanks dude!!! i always wanted to this and thanx to you i finally got it, thanx very much!!!

al your tutorials are so easy to learn and watch and to understand, keep it up!!!

  • hey i would like to get ahold of ur dvd tutorial's thanks

  • could you make a tutorial of how to include particles in fluids? thanks...

  • mine didnt have the particles 2:20

    :(

  • you probably have a later version. go to the particle button. the controls are under physics. were it says newtonian. all the controls he uses are there with a few others. :)

p.s Accx,Accy,AccZ are the axis controls. they are below were it says global effects.

  • great! the more videos i watch, the better i get and i really can understand everything in spite of the fact that my english is not so good

    thx man

  • But why are there particles, I think it isn't there 2 just like sparkle +)?

  • hi, can i make the animation start to1 and ends in 750?? please help[-

  • erm i hav a problem i hav vista so that might be th eproblem but when i pressn ctrl+F12 but then the whole of blender turns off

  • your problem is Vista . . . Full Stop

  • focusringcp: it doesn't say add new

  • omg i cant figure it out need help my screen wont show nothing but the plain as before doing nothing i use the 3.0.1 version need help T . T

  • .Thanks to this video, this is the first time I've understood how to make particles . I'm gonna LOVE playing with the particle system in blender. :-)

  • could you make a fire tutorial please?

  • on the new version Dont lok for partical motion (not there)use the physics tab and for forces go to global effects (bottom of physics tab) and use ACC X' Y AND Z

thats Zee to some but Zed to me.

  • good

  • oh, wait, i figured it out, never mind.

  • bandit8414: Ignore the physics button in your version. Select instead your Particle button and click "Add New." This is equivalent to super3boy's physics button.

  • err, i figured that out, and now i'm stuck again cuz i have the newest version.

  • nice...

  • i dont have a physics button like u do. it is black and next to a particle button. plz help

  • wtf there is no normal button on this blender

  • Ooh dandruff simulator ;)

  • You should remake this tutorial for the newer version of blender (2.48 i believe). There are a good bit of button changes in that area which may leave some users confused

  • I have a different type of blender i think...

    When I click on object> I get 2 icons ,

one is the physics button, but when I click on that I don't get the same as you... the other is the particles button, when I click that I get the same place but....

Ok... my point is... I don't get any particles... CAN YOU HELP ME =) ??

  • you're videos are helping me allot!! thank you

  • I don't see the rest of Particles

  • thanx for the tutorial, it really helped me understand and learn the basics of particle animation.

  • These tutorials keep me interested in them...unlike the other tuts I have seen that put me to sleep.

  • Particle has its own section next to objects now, under the "Physics" tab you should see the rest of what he's talking about.

  • how can i put particles into a game?

  • Thanks for the help. It's nice of you to help noobs like me. Sincerely thanks!

  • Can u change their color if so how plz tell me thx alot ure awesome

  • I just wanted to start out saying thanks because your tutorials are really helpful.... ok when i have the plane selected u say go to the particles tab but when i click the red button there is nothing under it please help!

  • The part where it looks like the particals blowing in the wind is under global effects

  • i dont under stand i have blender 2.47 but it doesnt have exakly like what your teaching at the practics

  • yeah mines different too

  • can some on tell me what the actuall point of this is.

Sorry i am new to blender.

  • You should start with tutorial 1 and watch the whole thing, then watch it again while following along in your copy of blender. Each tutorial increases your skills in blender. This was an introduction to 'particles', but you'll be more interested in using 'particles' after you've taken some of the more advanced tutorials.

  • NVM!! i figured it out, it lookks really different but their basically the same :)

  • how??, my menu is different, when all was same till i got to particles

  • NVM, thoguh mines different i foudn way to do what ur doing...

  • how?

  • Different version. Super3boy's using an older version of blender than you are most likely

  • my version of blender doesnt have that particles menu!! why not? i got blender like a week ago so its the newest version.. does anyone know?

  • thanks, this really helped with one of my first animations.

  • THanks a lot i can't wait to play with these

  • YOU ARE THE MAN SUPER3BOY!

  • YO YO

  • They are in different places, but all the things he says are there =p

  • I now actually know that i can use the X key to delete objects, and SPACE to add new ones, and ALT-a = start animation. Can't see quite what i want particles for yet, but never mind they look pretty. Good work kid, keep 'em comin' :)

  • lol

"Before we start, I'm just gonna do a little self promotion..."

  • what when I press alt+A half the time no particles come out, very rarely sometimes they do, any1 know whats up?

  • I hope my kids turn out like you...

  • It's his video, it's his website, let him do what he want's Putin.

  • More than wonderful. GBU

  • these tutorials are really great, keep up the good work!

  • hey dude listen up.ummmm when ever i look for the particlesm buttonthingy i cant find it its not thier wht do i do D:

  • to cjrather, the same thing happened to me. just click add new and the buttons will be there but with different names and in different locations. i also followed along and found it easier the reading the wiki page... oh ya and josh103456, if ur reading all my comments im leaving on you tube i have something to say...STOP SPYING ON ME!!!!

  • i was following along with blender until you got to the phicics button. it then did somepthing diffrent than what happined in your tuorial. whats rong? do i just have a diffrent version?

  • Thank you so much for that YOU ARE THE ONLY TUTORIAL that makes sense.

  • Glad you fixed the laggy sound problem without speeding up your voice at times :)

  • nice !! i am Working now to Blender is Really NICE PROGRAMM:D thx for uploading :D

can UU sent me an e-mail and write me the features that i can do with this programm

    ?!

  • .... my blender program don't have the 2nd box, in the pysics only the first 1.... my version is 2.46, is this the old 1??? HELP

  • The one in the video is old, I'm trying now to find a way to get to the same point...

  • Alright, look in the "Particle Button" tab. Everything in the video I think is in there, just in different locations.

  • how i make that stars ? pls

  • wat do u press to get the partical on the plane ????

  • Alt+A...

  • go to particles key in object key and in particle boxs press new

  • Great video. Thanks for the help.

  • Problems:

-When I hold down Left CLock and move around, it draws a line and moves the plane, it doesn't rotate it or anything

    -I don't have a Particle tab

  • how do you change d color of d particles?

  • You are the coolest!!!

  • I can't undestand what's the key to start the animation - 2.40

  • The way to start an animation is Alt+A, but you gotta be on the whole 3d area, not the toolbar. Hope that helps.

  • is there a download for a manual

  • When i try this i get numbers, anyone know why? I only get particles when i go into edit mode and it looks more like hair.

  • hey thanks that helps alot :)

  • hey, that was cool. Can you make a tutorial to make 3D clouds, not just a texture?

  • What I am saying is that you have to rpess Alt 1 more time than the norm.

  • You must be using an older version because when I did this in the newest version (the one I am using now), the particle system is a bit different. The particles do not go out automatically, you have to press Alt first and move the obejct around a cinch before the particles will fly out again.

  • (In context of 3Ds Max) Do I have to Deflection SpaceWarps to make particles bouce, or is it possible to have them act upon collisions with surfaces?

  • when the particles fly out it can also be like glass breaking or maybe someone jumping in water or fire when you put a log into it, or maybe those dandylion things when you blow on them and they fly in the wind! COOL! BEST ONE SO FAR!!

  • Finally a particle tutorial that doesn't teach me how to make hair xD

  • Can you change the color of the particles?

  • yes

  • Good tutorial. thank you!

  • at 5:50 u said 218...it 281..lol just wanted to say that.. nice tut!! helped alot =)

  • Snow!

  • Pretty informative, but it feels like I need a more well-rounded tutorial that has intermediate info as well as the beginner stuff. But, you are doing pretty well, and the videos help alot of people out. Keep it up.

  • hey, where can I get the dvd for the tutorial???

    Thnx

  • if you are interested just send me a pm.

  • best tutorial yet

  • I likey the accent lol.

  • Although, I find it more detailed in here...

Damn! Gotta learn to take advantage of the whole 10 minutes!

  • Pretty good, dude! Very good.

Although I find the commercial approach rather interesting...

  • What you should do is make a BIG tutorial by combining all the videos and put them on your website. That would help a lot more than watching 9 different vids. Just a suggestion. Lolz

  • Well the dvd will sort of cover all of the stuff that is in these videos.

  • i really want that dvd but i dont know how u can send it to kampala uganda where i live.and even the payments.

  • Sure. You will just have to pay the shipping. Send me a message for more info.

  • I'm an avid user (pun intended) of softimage, but going to have to go without for a few weeks whilst I wait for my computer to be shipped to America. However watching your tutorials has inspired me to look into Blender again. Thanks :)

  • Weeks? I could not survive. :).

  • Tell me about it, so I'll use my fiance
