I was there. I was in the fireball. I was burnt over 80% of my body. I was hit with shrapnel and other debris. I was 14, and was on the "dead" list for three days. The tragedy there was horrifying, but on a metaphysical and spiritual level, I was reborn there. I was finally able to go back this year and while looking at all the names that were on the memorial, remembering those that aren't on the memorial but should be, I gave thanks to God that he protected me and kept me off that list of nam
Dem Unglück fielen nach offiziellen Angaben 70 Menschen (67 Flugtagbesucher sowie die drei Piloten der beteiligten Flugzeuge) zum Opfer. Von Seiten des US-Militärs wurden keine Toten gemeldet... Siehe Wikipedia.
What a loss, innocent lives. Alot more die each day in useless conflicts, but this tragedy here somehow let me realize more easily how short live can be. Strength to all the family and friends of the victims.
I was stationed in what was then "west germany" and had tickets for the show, but my wife went into labor with my first son and couldn't go. I don't realy like airshows anymore, it reminds me of that traget day. people from my unit were there, unhurt but told me of what they had seen.
I went to the show the year previous years and was so upset when I was told I had to work. I was trying my hardest to get someone to pull my shift. I always stood mid-field during the shows and I guess someone had a hand in me not going.
Well thanks for the comment. I can understand why it was your luckiest day in your life. It was a VERY sad day. When I saw the pictures it killed me personally. Kannst du auch deutsch sprechen? Bist du deutscher? Ich bin ungarischer aber meine Vati kommt aus USA. Ich kann ungarisch, englisch und einbischen deutsch spercen.
Again thanks for the comment. Hopping you liked the video.
good video mate. i was there 1988. i was 8 years old and still remember all that shit. really not a funny thing it was. i was really lucky because at the beginning of the show i stood exactly where the plane came down into the crowd later on. luckily my dad took me and my brother and we went to another place more aside of the event. and shortly after that it happened.....thx for posting this!
Thank you for your comment. You are a great testamony, because YOU WERE THERE...even you were small, but STILL. Your comment made my to make more videos. Through you I see my work is worth. So, thank you!:-)
@Antzlu I was there too, also 8 years old. I have a similar lucky story. We were right where the plane crashed. My friend's father was working at the show that day and was asked to help at a different location so we moved.
Personnal I would like to thank to the over 1000 viewers of this Video. I would like to say thank you for taking your time to just remember the dead people and accident in Germany, Ramstein. It is my prayer, that this will NOT ever-never happen again! God shall rest their souls! Please keep whatching and remembering that horrible sad day:S:(:'(

Mein Vater war bereits auf dem Weg dorthin, ist aber umgekehrt weil ein Verwandter Nachwuchs bekommen hatte.
Wäre er angekommen gäbe es mich heute vielleicht nicht, kranker Gedanke...
