having the right turbo setup to match ur fuel is so important when makin big power, in order to keep egts reasonable and economy good. plus... crazy amounts of smoke deters the eco freindly, even though diesels are very eco friendly! decieving!

I think it's actually faster to run the trucks with the bed up. The did it on mythbusters and the truck with the tailgate up got better mileage. It makes a little bubble of air in the bed and the rest flows over it without resistance.

PSD 7.3 is a great engine. The Cummins 5.9 CR is the best. The duramax, PSD 6.0, and 6.4 are good but not the best.

Huge smoke difference. How are you making the power without smoking out the whole neighborhood? That has to be the cleanest running 11 sec. diesel I've seen. I have an 03 2wd QC also..

NOS helps alot and a good turbo setup, a good fuel program and some other mods :) Just look at Banks truck, it is smokeless. ANd this truck now runs a 10.48 and counting :)

zane kochs powerstroke does run in the 10's now and the worlds most powerful powerstroke is a 1500+ hp 7.3. its in i think the diesel power mag. i own a 7.3 its a good engine but much easier to pull 1000hp out a cummins im thinking about swappin.

Hilarious... diehard Ford fans are so full of sh*t. A Cummins inline 6 is the closest thing to a semi-truck engine you can get in a pickup, (not including the big Cat F650's). And for longevity, the Cummins can't be beat. Plus, their MPG's are about 30% better than the guzzling Peestroke V8's.

That's because its a bit harder to get those types of numbers out of a 6.0L engine. But a guy who works with us is trying his damnedest to get into the 11s. He has a twin turboed 6.0L
