What was so sad about the burning of the Liberty Bell was the waste of it all. While it sat in a corn field the fire Dept. Said the ground was to soft for their trucks, yet not to soft for a big B-17 to land and sit. Thus, while the plane burned they, fireman, sat and watched it burn making not one effort to help. It would have been worth the risk if the truck might have bogged down, what did they have to lose. Frankly I would have made the effort than not to have even tried. There probably isn

It would be a great thing if all parties could come together and with outside support build a clear dome over this site leave it undisturbed except for hazards.. and it be declared a monument for, or to The United States of America and All that an Image like this would have Meaning too.
