One of the greats of the 20th century and still going strong. I discovered Wim in 1985 and have been mesmerized ever since.

I think I was 10 when I found this CD in the living room. I listened to it over and over. There is no other music like his, thats eases my mind so good. I find myself inspired by it. Went to a concert last year. It was so unbelievable wonderful. I don't think I'll ever get tired of his music.

Very well played thx! don't bother the missed note that much, but the genius in this track lies, for me that is, in the two notes Wim Mertens plays at 1:40 (1:34 in this piece) the pause and the strength of those are always very touching to me...I think you missed on capturing those two with the same intenisty. But as said: very good play indeed!

Youre right, it sounds as if it was a mistake but maybe that is the purpose. The theme is Humility; maybe the composer is being humble and presenting a flaw in this beautiful piece. Or it could be that there is no such a thing as a flaw

In a way, I think you are right. According to my minute knowledge of the language it means 'being humble', so it's something you achieve yourself, and it's not aflicted onto you by someone else.
