These are probably the hardest type of forklift to drive. Takes a bit getting use to it. Its sort of like rubbing your tummy, patting your head, and tapping your foot at the same time. These are often used very tight isles where a normal forklift can't fit and to reach top level pallets. These can typically reach 25% higher than a normal forklift. Many rookies forget to extend the forks when dropping a pallet lol. You'll set the pallet on the legs and most likely break the pallet if you don't.

Our Yales lift and lower at twice that speed, and aren't NEARLY as noisy.

Man, what slow lifting speed as well as lowering. Reach speed and tilting is good. But i fancy my Jungheinrich :D

Crown fork lifts are so much better. Used to operate a raymond and the quality just does not match to a Crown.

Yeah, I work on a Raymond 7400 Series truck and the learning curve is a bit longer than on most other trucks. They are awfully handy, though!

We have these at work - they're exceptionally well designed and strong as an ox. Lifts full bundles of 3/4" plywood or sheetrock no problemo.

Yep - Home Depot... 36 bundles of shingles, drywall, composite decking... these things are freakin awesome.
