Ace 350 is better for small gold, but 250 due to lower frequency is better for depth target...

Well, good luck using the DD coil on parks that have a lot of bottle tops. The DD coil has been ringing all bottle tops as (mostly) dimes but also as cents and sometimes dollars. I actually had to give up after digging up 20 bottle tops straight, almost all ringing up as a solid dime from both directions and even lower the number of bars to just 3. I'll try using the stock 250 (concentric) coil on the 350 to see if I can eliminate most of the bottle tops.

You can tell the pocket spills happen where the kids jump off the swings. Well, fall off, perhaps. I haven't been to tot lots lately but perhaps I'll do some detecting at a few local places I know when I bring my 4 year old to play.

Great video. What mode were you using? I got mine the other day and I was getting almost constant false hits. If I start eliminating iron, it quiets down. I also remembered that we used to shoot bb guns in the yard and the yard was scattered with copper covered lead bbs. This is truly a learning experience. My Sons first find was a nail, about 6" down. It was just an old nail, but he was so proud. It is amazing what you walk on for years and never know is there..

I like treasure hunting, too but at these kiddie parks, do you ever feel like modern coins aren't worth hunting because look at the cost of one gallon of gas or the fumes we burn in our cars to get to the kiddie parks. Sometimes I feel like metal detecting doesn't make sense, but I do like it.

theres so much complaining on md vids. just like real hunting. everyone criticizes everyones shot and says theyre better. with md people criticize the size of the hole they make. youre not perfect either. i think everyone should just have fun and do it how they want. they cover up the hole, thats all that matters isnt it? if it was grass it would be a different story. anyways, im gettin the 350 soon. it would be my 2nd md and a big upgrade. good work with the vid, keep it up!

Thanks for the video. I just got the 350, my first MD ever, and have taken it out a few times. Nice to see that I am getting similar signals and now that I know the tones, I can see how you both were pinpointing with the 350 before digging. Now all I need is the Garrett Pro-Pointer to locate coins in those holes I have been digging :-)
