arab lies, distortions, deceptions and half-truths. israel is the land of the jews. we were given this land by G-d and have lived there ever since, sometimes as a sovereign nation, mostly ruled by other conquering nations. this strted way before the arabs left arabia to try and conquer the world. the so-called palestinians are the usurpers in the present time. and the so-called palestinian nation was invented in 1964, in order to destroy the state of israel.
Zionism is an illness. The zionists are the only ones lying and decieving. The jews of Israel have nothing to do with the Ancient jews, you are Eastern European converts to judaism (Khazars). You Liebermans and Dershowitzes need to go to Ukraine.
@shnoepie1 tell that to our DNA.“Despite their long-term residence in different countries and isolation from one another, most Jewish populations were not significantly different from one another at the genetic level." M.F. Hammer, Proc. Nat’l Academy of Science, May 9, 2000. you arabs should go back to where you came from....arabia.
@avivai6 "The Ashkenazi paternal gene pool does not appear to be similar to that of present-day Turkish speakers. This finding opposes the suggestion that Ashkenazim are descended from the Kuzars, a Turkish-Asian empire that converted to Judaism en masse in or about the 8th century CE." "These genetic research findings support Jewish tradition—both written and oral."
@shnoepie1 "Although the Ashkenazi (European) Jewish community separated from their Mediterranean ancestors some 1,200 years ago and lived among Central and Eastern European gentiles, their paternal gene pool still resembles that of other Jewish and Semitic groups originating in the Middle East."
@shnoepie1 "After over 1,000 years of history in the Land of Israel, Jews dispersed to many and distant locations throughout the world. Some Jewish exile communities were relatively stable for two millennia—such as in Babylonia (Iraq) and Persia (Iran). Others developed centuries later, following successive migrations to North Africa and Europe."
@shnoepie1 "All of these communities maintained their Jewish customs and religious observance despite prolonged periods of persecution. Jews remained generally culturally isolated from their host communities. These genetic studies are a testimony to Jewish family faithfulness."
@shnoepie1 "Only the Jewish people in the history of mankind has retained its genetic identity for over 100 generations, while being spread throughout the world—truly unique and inspiring.
Perhaps, even more unique and inspiring, is that this most unlikely scenario was a prophecy and a promise." "And God shall scatter you among all the peoples from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth…" (Deuteronomy 28:64)
@shnoepie1 And God shall return your captivity and be merciful to you, and will return and gather you from all the nations whither God has scattered you. (Deuteronomy 30:3)
As the natural laws are set before Me, so shall the seed of Israel never cease from being a nation before Me, forever. (Jeremiah 31:36)
@shnoepie1 zionism is the fulfillment of the promise G-d made to us, we who have the same DNA as our ancestral, middle eastern ancestors. the only illness in the region is the sick writings in the koran ordering all the arabs (who come from ARABIA) to destroy and kill all jews and to conquer the world. go back where you came from and take your sick book with you. the promises of G-d assure us that you will not succeed in your evil plans to destroy us.
@avivai6 Jews have had rights in muslim countries, like they never had in the West. Ofcourse there were incidents, but on a whole jews had a relatively large freedom. Almost all Caliphs and sultans made sure to protect the jews from harm, because it was WRITTEN IN THE KORAN THAT THEY SHOULD DO SO. The Ancient Babylonian Semites opressed the jews, the Romans expelled and opressed them, so did the Byzantines, the Franks and ofcourse Christians.
@shnoepie1 While Jewish communities in Islamic countries fared better overall than those in Christian lands in Europe, Jews were no strangers to persecution and humiliation among the Arabs. As Princeton University historian Bernard Lewis has written: "The Golden Age of equal rights was a myth, and belief in it was a result, more than a cause, of Jewish sympathy for Islam."
@shnoepie1 The Muslim attitude toward Jews is reflected in various verses throughout the Koran, the holy book of the Islamic faith. "They [the Children of Israel] were consigned to humiliation and wretchedness. They brought the wrath of God upon themselves, and this because they used to deny God's signs and kill His Prophets unjustly and because they disobeyed and were transgressors" (Sura 2:61).
@shnoepie1 According to the Koran, the Jews try to introduce corruption (5:64), have always been disobedient (5:78), and are enemies of Allah, the Prophet and the angels (2:97-98). Jews were generally viewed with contempt by their Muslim neighbors; peaceful coexistence between the two groups involved the subordination and degradation of the Jews. the koran says trees and rocks will say: "Oh Muslim, Oh servant of God, here is a Jew hiding behind me. Come here and kill him."
@shnoepie1 the myth that jews were protected is rooted in the traditional concept of the "dhimma" ("writ of protection"), which was extended by Muslim conquerors to Christians and Jews in exchange for their subordination to the Muslims. Yet, as French authority Jacques Ellul has observed: "One must ask: 'protected from whom?' When this 'stranger' lives in Islamic countries, the answer can only be: from the Muslims themselves." the jews & christians had very few rights under muslim rule.
@avivai6 Early muslim civilizations were not liberal societies, you shouldnt compare them to modern societies. But compared to earlier Western societies, Islam has been very kind and protective of non-muslims. Simply look at the diversity in modern Muslim countries and compare it to the dicǘersity in the West, where non-Christian groups have always been absent. Where the jews were annihalated. Then look at muslim countries, with the jews, Christians and different sects living side by side.
@avivai6 The diversity proves that muslims have been very tolerant. The Christian crusaders ruled for less than two centuries in Palestine, after which there were no jews left there. The muslims reconquered it and the jewish presence rose instantly. The same goes for Spain, where jews had an active role in Islamic society for over 800 years. Then the Christians reconquered Andalusa and the jews where instantly expelled, the Muslims were either forced to convert or expelled a 150 years later.
@avivai6 The chosen jews have nothing to do with you. You are Ukrainian Slavic converts. You belong in Eastern Europe, not in the holy land. It wasnt untill you sick Slavics created Zionism that these problems started, before that the real jews never had the ambition to destroy Islam there.
@shnoepie1 until you can show me scientific proof that you have examined my DNA and can prove that i am not genetically related to the jewish nation you have no authority to claim that the chosen jews have nothing to do with me. you obviously just ignore the posts i gave above citing studies showing that ashkenazi and sepharidi jews are more closely related to each other GENETICALLY than to the gentiles they live among. you can ignore facts, but you can't change them.
@avivai6 Youre the ones who colonized land which isnt yours, youre the ones who need to explain. In an earlier post you ask `protect from whom?`. You as a European jew have the nerve to quote a Westerner on how the muslims are some kind of threat to the jews... Dont you understand that Westerners have traditionally been the greatest killers and oppressors of jews?? The hypocrisy of this French dude is worse than that of the zionists..
? HOW MUCH CAN THEY MAKE THE PALISTINIAN REFUGEES SUFFER AS PAWNS IN SQUALAR. WHY DONT THE OTHER 2 2 ARAB COUNTRIES ABSORBE THEIR BROTHERS LIKE ISRAEL DID WITH ARAB-JEWS
with the movement in Egypt towards democracy and possibly Jordan, why don’t they have the Arab world accept some responsibility and carve up a state for the "Palestinians" from their land and let the Jews have their small strip of biblical land and let them live in peace. How greedy can the Arabs be? HOW MUCH CAN THEY MAKE THE PALISTINIAN REFUGEES SUFFER AS PAWNS.
The One-state solution is impossible, and the twwo-state solution has its flaws. Therefore, I support the three-state solution. Its time gypt take Gaza, Israel take its border settlement blocks, and Jordan take the rest of the West Bank.
Yeah if you don't want to share the land with the natives and you say that one state solution is impossible then it should be impossible for Germany to be a democratic nation either, Germany should become a Nazi state again and take its Jews back from Israel and send them where it was sending them earlier, that will clear Palestine for its native peopl to return.
@optimistsRUS What? 22 Arab countries ain't good enough for you? By the way, Jews are the natives. They have been living there for over 5,000 years. Arabs did not appear in the land until 636 CE. Germany today is a state for ethnic Germans, and allows anyone of German ancestry to immigrate. The same is true for Ireland, China, Japan, Lithuania, Russia, and Serbia. Most democratic states do favor those with ethnic ties to these countries. Besides, what country would agree to destroy itself?
What? 50 countries ain't good enough for Jews? They had New York as well, why did they want another country? The Jews who migrated to Palestine in 20th century were not natives, only 5% of the native population of Palestine was Jewish at the start of 20th century. Native Palestinians should be given equal rights, as much rights as the European settlers have, that's what I call for, I do not call for their expulsion or elimination.
@optimistsRUS Actually, Jews are only found worldwide because the ancient Romans expelled so many of them in 70 CE. However, genetic studies have found that they all bear a common heritage to the Middle East. Arabs are indigenous to the Arabian peninsula, Jews are indigenous to the Southern Levant. The Palestinians are a non-native population which arrived in 636, while the Jews have been there for 5,000 years. And please don't repeat the "Jews run America" blood libel.
And it were the Muslim countries that gave them refuge from crazy Christians of Europe, it were the Muslim rulers of Palestine who allowed Jews to settle there again while the Crusaders massacred them or kicked them out. Now why do the Jews have to take the revenge of terrorist Christians from native Palestinians who are their cousins?
@optimistsRUS The Muslim countries were softer, but they were still harsh on Jews. The fact is, there were still pogroms there, and whenever that happened, the Arabs would say "why not go back to your Holy Land"? There were always discriminatory laws and racism. And please stop repeating that "Native Palestinians" line. Most of them either came during the Arab conquest of Byzantine Palestine or immigrated when Jewish pioneers were improving it in the early 1900s.
Jews were treated best by the Muslim countries and that's why they migrated there, so that you already admit. Jews were welcomed by Muslims while Jewish settlers are destroying the homes of native Palestinians and they are building Jews-only roads and settlements in a land that was only 5% Jewish in 1900 and 34% Jewish in 1947, the Jews never faced that in Muslim-ruled, Muslim-majority lands. What is your point in defending Jewish apartheid?
@optimistsRUS Treated best does not mean they were treated great at all. In some areas, Jews could not even build a house any higher than a Muslim's. They were allowed to live and work, with only occasional antisemitic violence, but they were always second-class citizens. The land may have been only 5% Jewish, but its because the Romans exiled so many of them. Thousands of Jews returned to their homeland in the 20th century. The Arabs were a majority due to their massive migrations and birthrate
In early 1900s the Jews were only 5% of the total population, the rest of the 95% Palestinians are what I call native Palestinians, the majority of the Jews were settlers just like the European settlers who came to Americas or to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa etc. All the other settler states have now given pretty much equal rights to native people, South Africa was the most recent one, Israel on the other hand is one stark exception.
@optimistsRUS Actually, like I said before, Jews are indigenous. Israel has a history of 5,000 years on that land. There was a continuous Jewish presence there, even at 5% they endured, while the Jews exiled to other parts of the world never lost their dream of returning to their homeland. The Palestinians are immigrants who came there after the Jews began improving the ec onomic conditions. Thousands upon thousands of "native" immigrants poured in.
Nonsense, the Palestinian population was 95% non-Jewish by 1911 and despite mass migration from around the world the Jewish population was barely 34% in 1947, the terrorists kicked out 80% of natives and occupied 80% of the land that they call "Israel", the rest of 20% was occupied in 1967. These are facts, how can you call the native Palestinians "immigrants?"
@optimistsRUS You forget though, that the pop. then was only 120,000 people total. 95% of that is not a lot. By 1947, there were more Jews living in the Land than 120,000, while Arab migration quintupled their numbers.
@optimistsRUS Of course it means a majority, but you forget that it still does not mask the fact that MOST Palestinians were immigrants, because in the 1800s Palestine was bare and underpopulated, with 120,000. Early Palestine was described by visitors as a barren and desolate land. British and Turkish demographic figures point to an "abnormal rate" of Arab immigration leading up from the start of the 20th century to Israeli independence.
What is the source of your nonsensical figure of 120,000? There were 414,000-600,000 people in Palestine in 1893, barely 5% of them were Jewish, so even before the "mass-migration" of Arabs (that you allege to be triggered by mass-migration of Jews) the non-Jewish Arabs were still 95% majority in Palestine, along with 5% native Jewish Palestinians.
The archaeological finds are from an older era, Russian and European Jews had no link to Palestine in roughly the last 2000 years.
@optimistsRUS My source comes from Masada2000. The New York Review of Books also has a 1986 article written by Daniel Pipes and Ronald Sanders, which draw from numerous sources and accounts of witnesses. Daniel Pipes' review of the book "From Time Immemorial" is supportive of Palestine as a bare and empty land with few people, as well as Arab mass migration, but critical of the book itself.
@optimistsRUS Also remember that the demographic figures you are telling me come from Justin McCarthy, a controversial historian noted for Armenian Genocide denial. He is contradicted by authors Baruch Kimmerling and Joel Migdal in their book "The Palestinian People: A History". On Page 214, the demographic figures of Palestine in 1882 are noted as 320,000, including 25,000 Jews. "First Photographs of the Holy Land" by Eli Shiller also supports my point.
@optimistsRUS Even if they were a 100% majority back then, they would still be non-native, as British and Turkish authorities noted a massive amount of immigrants pouring in. Early 20th century Palestine's population became incomparable with that of 1947.
@optimistsRUS The archaeological excavations support a continuous presence of Jews in Israel, but Russian and European Jews actually had a massive link to Palestine. Each Passover Seder, they would say "Next year in Jerusalem", and they always prayed for return. Over the centuries, hundreds, especially from Eastern Europe, immigrated back to the land, especially to Jerusalem, which was largely a Jewish city. Modern genetic studies also demonstrate an ancestral link of European Jews to the Levant
@warpedcomedy The problem lies in the very assumption that any human being or group of human beings has a natural right to a particular piece of land. The problem is ethnic nationalism, a bankrupt idea that has led to horrific bloodshed and destruction wherever and whenever it has taken hold.
@optimistsRUS You also forget the massive archaeological and historical finds which support a contiguous Jewish presence here. At one point, all Jews lived here. Even when they were in exile, Jews almost exclusively married other Jews, kept their culture alive, accepted very few conversions, and maintained a link with their ancestral homeland, while a small group of Jews continued to live in scattered communities throughout Palestine. The Zionist pioneers did not immigrate, they returned.
Israel as "a nakedly racist settler-colonial enterprise premised on the creation of a state for one people at the expense of another people..." What a breath of fresh air! Jews don't need a Jewish state. If they want to live in the Holy Land in peace and security they need to renounce Zionism and embrace the full range of human rights that Zionist doctrine demands they reserve only for themselves. Because of this doctrine, Israel has itself been the biggest exporter of terrorism since 1948
Lately the one-state bi-national solution is talked about most eloquently by Ali Abunimah. I agree that a one-state solution is now the only viable option for the Palestinians. It is also the most just.
Makdisi is distorting the truth, facts and history. Shame on such professor; he does no one any good, including the Arabs of Judea and Samaria, and the Gazans
@triplecheck4 I don't see any egregious distortions. Certainly though, he has different interpretations. I would counter that whatever the merits of his plan, it is simply impractical. The Israeli Knesset is already pretty much dysfunctional. I don't see how adding Palestinians into the mix will improve the situation. Perhaps after 25 years of peace a functional democratic Palestinian state could be united with Israel.
First distortion: There is no such a thing as Palestinian people -hood. these people who Mr. Makdisi refers to as "Palestinians" are Arabs which mostly came from the Arabia. Secondly, these Arabs were never "violently expelled", most of these Arabs left of their own volition and heeded the Arabs world call to leave in 1948 because the Arabs wanted to destroy the one day old Jewish State. See You Tube: 1920 The year the Arabs discovered Palestine.
The classical Muslim scholars are clear that Qur'an 17:104 refers to the hereafter and judgment day before God. Another classical scholar Imam al-Baghawi in his "Tafsir al-Baghawi"; Qur'an 17:104- [but when the promise of the Hereafter cometh to pass], that is the judgement day [We shall bring you as a crowd gathered out of various nations] That means: All of them together into the position of Judgement Day, mixed in every sense.
cont. on error of Yusuf Ali modern day guy; Quote- He claims that the establishment of their state through Balfour Declaration has marked the clear fulfillment of the prophecy. Although the Ayah speaks about gathering them all together on the Day of Resurrection to receive the recompense they deserve for their deeds. Hence he twists the meaning of an Ayah in the Noble Quran, in order to bless the establishment of Israel, and the gathering of the Jews on the land of Palestine.
Also Qur'an 17:104 commentary by the great classical Muslim scholar Imam al-Tabari in his "Tafsir al-Tabari"; Qur'an 17:104- And he says: So when the Hour (Judgement Day) comes, and that is (what is meant) by The Promise of the Hereafter (in the verse), [We shall bring you as a crowd gathered out of various nations] we will revive your from your graves to the position of Judgement Day, all of your mixed together, no one will be placed next to his tribesmen.
oh yeah your just so "sad" the US and Zionists support Saudi Arabia, get that garbage out of here. The Saudis are a US and Zionist "Israeli" lackies who do your Zionist bidding just like Hosni Mubarak the dictator of Egypt and all the other corrupt US-Zionist supported dictators in the Middle East. You support these dictators that harm their own people, precisely because you want to keep the people of the Middle East from resisting Zionist American imperialism, neocolonialism, and resource theft
Hey, long live the Zionists/Israel. In fact the Sunnis calls the Shias Zionists.. The dictators are Hamasnick/Muslim Brotherhood and most of the Arab world. Israel is a cosmopolitan country. You are simply jealous and hateful. You would wish that any other Arab country become democratic. America is never an imperialist; Indeed she helps the world with its imperfection. Do look deep in the mirror and go help your brethren in the Arab world who despite its vast resources remain backward.
Your a imperialist colonialist supporting douchebag. Why is that Amerikkka and Zionist "Israel" support all the major dictatorships in the world?! Could it be b ecause they do what you imperialists like and harm their own people and make sure they can't resist against your global hegemony and theft. The Saudis, Hosni Mubarak, the UAE, Kuwait, and every other major dictator in the Middle East are nothing but pawns of Amerikkka and the Zionists.
"And thereafter We [Allah] said to the Children of Israel: 'Dwell securely in the Promised Land. And when the last warning will come to pass, we will gather you together in a mingled crowd.'" [Qur'an 17:104]
zionist mistranslation and misinterpretation of Qur'an Surah 17:104 this verse is talking about the Hereafter (Judgement Day); read from the works of classical Muslim scholars and their commentaries; Imam al-Qurtubi in Tafsir al-Qurtubi- [but when the promise of the Hereafter cometh to pass] that is Judgement Day (Qiyamah), [We shall bring you as a crowd gathered out of various nations] from your graves, mixed in every matter, the believers and the unbelievers together, not with their tribes.
What you and the Zionists misuse is the error filled Qur'an translation by modern day translator Yusuf Ali; on article refuting Yusuf Ali errors; Quote- And we said thereafter to the Children of Israel, dwell securely in the land (of promise): but when the second of the warnings came to pass, we gathered you together in a mingled crowd. (Al-Isrâ, 17:104)
thus we find him describing the final and the last promise or the promise of the Hereafter as the second of the warnings
You defend Amerikkka your truly a imperialist stooge. The same Amerikkka that killed 100 million Native Americans in the true Holocaust and genocide from 1492 on. The same Amerikkka that was built on slave labor supplied by Jewish slave traders; from the work of Jewish Rabbi and historian Marc Lee Raphael; "In fact, in all the American colonies, whether French (Martinique), British, or Dutch, Jewish merchants frequently dominated."
Hey, what about Muhammads atrocity against the Qurayza Jews?
"And [remember] when Moses said to his people: 'O my people, call in remembrance the favour of God unto you, when he produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave to you what He had not given to any other among the peoples. O my people, enter the Holy Land which God has assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin.'" [Qur'an 5:20-21]
The jews betrayed the Muslims and assisted the Pagan Quraish of Mekkah that had forced the Muslims out of there homes in Mekkah into the city of Madinah. As for your quoting the Holy Qur'an first Holy Qur'an Surah 5 is speaking to Prophet Moses(PBUH) in the time when the believers of Bani Israel were Muslims. This is not speaking of modern "Jews" who are not "Israelites" to begin with and who according to Islamic law are disbelievers and corrupters of the true religion of Moses(PBUH)
Results of a DNA study by geneticist Ariella Oppenheim (a famous Israeli geneticist) appears to match historical accounts that Arab Israelis and Palestinians, together as the one same population, represent modern "descendants of a core population that lived in the area since prehistoric times", albeit religiously first Christianized then largely Islamized, and all eventually culturally Arabized.
Look who is talking about 'colonialism' as if the Arabs of the Arabia where not the so called " colonialists", The colonized North Africa, and Spain, part of Easter Europe, and part of Asia and until today practice colonialism in the Sudan etc. And geneticist Ariella Oppenheim has been discredited long ago, but you like hang on to to what ever thin hair you can as long as it justify your false cause, the identity of the so called Palestinian Arabs.
Care to give any evidence for your lie against a respected "Israeli" geneticist Dr. Ariella Oppenheim of "Israels" renowned Hadassah Medical University?! Again Ariella Oppenheim's research was praised by another standard Jewish geneticist Michael Hammer! You really are ignorant again Dr. Ariella Oppenheim as shown that Palestinians are the descendants of Jews and Christians. Most Palestinians are Muslim today but some remain Christian. Palestinians prehistoric in Canaan.
Your a complete fool. Arabs did not colonize North Africa Berbers converted to Islam and many still maintain their identity and many are mixed with Arabs. In Spain the Jews asked the Muslims of North Africa to help them fight the oppressive Christian King Roderic. The Muslim Musa ibn Nusair was asked by Jews and Count Julian of Cueta to invade and overthrow Roderic. Many top Ottoman officials were from Eastern Europe! Sudan is related to British colonialism and divide and rule west colonialism.
Ha..ha.. Berbers were forced to convert to Islam and so were the Copts and Jews, Christians etc.; but some did and some did not. Yes, and the Christian has their own dark ages even against the Muslims but today most reformed. But why won't we take all the Arabs back to the Arabian Peninsula where they originated and maybe the wold will suffer less horrors..ha..Though I have some great Arab/Muslim friends who are rational and respectful of the Jewish people's right to their own homeland.
Take your garbage somewhere else your dear howard grief is only cited in articles about the colonialist San Remo conference after WWI lol! To suit Zionists' political agenda, they have deliberately chosen to ignore most, if not all, of UN resolutions concerning Palestine and its people. You really want to use "UN" and other colonialist garbage from the heyday of European colonialism that Zionists were in bed with like zionist balfour declaration. "Israel" is a relic of colonialism.
You Zionists and your Western colonialist allies support all the evil dictatorships just like "Israel" was best buddies with Apartheid South Africa! From guardian uk;
Brothers in arms - Israel's secret pact with Pretoria In the second part of his remarkable special report, Chris McGreal investigates the clandestine alliance between Israel and the apartheid regime, cemented with the ultimate gift of friendship - A-bomb technology
John Vorster of Apartheid South Africa "Israeli" buddy!
The Jewish people in Israel love all man kind if they are civil and not barbarians. Many Israeli Arabs will never replace Israel even with America let alone any other Arab State, rest assured, they love Israel and grateful to Israel. I know I was there speaking to many Arab Israelis. Don't blame the Arab world including those called Palestinians short coming and barbarism on Israel. Arabs bring misery upon themselves but their own actions, mainly.
Your propaganda is silly and not even accepted by most "Israelis" you'll find tons of articles in haaretz criticizing Zionist apartheid so take your avigdor lieberman anti-"goyim" fascist Talmud hatred out of here. Even "Israeli" organizations like Btselem report on the discrimination against Arabs in Zionist "Israel", and the rightwing kahanist talmud hatred. Also Hamas was elected by the Palestinians because Hamas has integrity and defends the people against ZIonist hegemony unlike corrupt PA
You sound like Nassarallah and Ahamdinejad. Hamas is a terrorist organization so ruled by the State Department. Are you an American? if so you should be ashamed of yourself for defending a terror organization You are not helpful to the Gazan by supporting Hamas. They are bad for all including the Gazans. Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood should be eradicated.
Do you think I care what the terrorist Amerikkkan government thinks? Also there is no "America" it was stolen by white "Christian" invaders that killed 100 million Native Americans from 1492 on. Also you don't give a damn about Gaza, and the Gazans know this that is why they voted for a brave resistance group like Hamas that fights against the evil Zionist imperialists.
Makdisi careless about the so called Palestinians as much as he hates Israel, that is so clear. Do read comments below. Indeed go to Lebanon, Mr. Makdisi, where you originated, I am sure the Arab squatters (Palestinians) there need you.
Hey, Mr. Makdisi, the so called Palestinians are not weak, there is no such a thing by their own words, and that is the actual reality. They are Arabs used as pawns by the Arab world who refused to absorb them but abuse them as the Arab world will stop at nothing in their quest to destroy beautiful magical Israel. Arab Israelis will never replace Israel not only for any Arab Country but even for America, get real and stop spewing your hatred of the Jews; it is so obvious.
On "Jew" Khazars from work of geneticist Almut Nebel and his other academics from ncbi genetics website; "Jews were found to be more closely related to groups in the north of the Fertile Crescent (Kurds, Turks, and Armenians) than to their Arab neighbors."
And "Israeli" geneticist Ariella Oppenheim confirms; "it reaffirmed that Palestinian "Muslim Arabs are descended from Christians and Jews who lived in the southern Levant, a region that includes Israel, Sinai and part of Jordan."
Stop leaning on straw man, no one can take away the Hebrew state from the Hebrew people. Israel/Palestine is was and will for ever be the Jewish people homeland, and any one can be Jewish. Do look deep in the mirror Mr. Makdisi, the manishere4. Criticize the Arab world for lack eheir lack of democracy and pluralism. Israel is a cosmopolitan modern state and treat all of its citizen with equal right like no other Arab country.
Your truly pathetic you try to bring up democracy what a laugher; if you really cared about democracy why do Zionists and US support all the dictatorship that are their puppets in the Middle East!! The Saudis US/Zionist puppets, Hosni Mubarak US/Zionist puppet killing Gazans, and all the other US/Zionist puppets. The US and Zionists hate all the real Middle East democracies like Palestinians with Hamas resistance, Lebanon, and Iran!
I agree with you that the Saudis shouldn't be supported. Also, the poor Gazans are prisoners of Hamas, another Sunni creeps, who will use the Shias and then fight them as soon the opportunity will avail them, rest assured. Further, Palestinian people-hood does not exist, that is reality or they would have a state long ago. They have had ample opportunity to have just that, but they are used by the Arab worlds as pawns as their, the Arabs, goal is to destroy the beautiful Jewish state.
Mr. Makdisi, indeed rewrites History and takes things out of context, shamelessly. Indeed Mr. Makdisi, do study the 1922 Palestine Mandate document which is the ruling document, under sacred trust and thus valid to date. Even the Israeli Gov. can never revoke it. This document clearly allocated Palestine to the to RECONSTITUTE the Jewish people home land in Palestine. There are no references to such people-hood called Palestine until Arafat invented as a political entity to destroy Israel.
Mr. Makdisi, stop rewriting the truth, it seems to me that 'themanishered" below is you, Mr. Makdisi. However if you are truly caring of all human beings including the Arabs now called Palestinians where is the 21 Arab countries' will to absorb their own? They have 500 times land bigger than Israel, most of these Arabs who landed in Palestine originally arrived from the Arabian peninsula. Do check You Tube: 1920, the year the Arabs discover Palestine.
From work of famed geneticist Almut Nebel on "Jews"; Quote- comparison with data available from other relevant populations in the region, Jews were found to be more closely related to groups in the north of the Fertile Crescent (Kurds, Turks, and Armenians) than to their Arab neighbors."
Turks and Armenians are not "Semitic" just like Khazars, from NY Times- 52 percent of Levites of Ashkenazi origin have a particular genetic signature that originated in Central Asia
real myth is "jews" and your "Bible"; Quote- Archaeological silence is another problem that biblical inerrantists don't like to talk about. According to the Bible, the Israelite tribes were united into one nation that had a glorious history during the reigns of king David and his son Solomon, yet the archaeological record is completely silent about these two kings except for two disputed inscriptions that some think are references to "the house of David."
Quote- and it presents one of the most striking pictures of luxuriant fertility which it is possible to conceive."[40]
According to Paul Masson, a French economic historian, "wheat shipments from the Palestinian port of Acre had helped to save southern France from famine on numerous occasions in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries."[41]
n 1920, the League of Nations' Interim Report on the Civil Administration of Palestine stated that there were 700,000 people living in Palestine
Ahad Haam was a liberal Zionist from Eastern Europe who lived from 1856 to 1927; and he again visited Palestine in 1891; more from Benny Morris' work; Quote- "If a time comes when our people in Palestine develop so that, in small or great measure, they push out the native inhabitants, these will not give up their place easily." (Righteous Victims, p. 49)
Ahad Haam who visited Palestine in 1891 refutes you from "Israeli" historian Benny Morris' book "Righteous Victims" citing the 1891 writing of Asher Zvi Hirsch Ginsberg aka Ahad Haam Quote- "We abroad are used to believe the Eretz Yisrael is now almost totally desolate, a desert that is not sowed ..... But in truth that is not the case. Throughout the country it is difficult to find fields that are not sowed. Only sand dunes and stony mountains .... are not cultivated." (Righteous Victims, p. 42
Mr. Makdisi, get your facts straight, you are full of it, regretfully, do look deep in the mirror. Go back to Lebanon and ask the Lebanese why they careless about the Arabs there who you call Palestinians or any other so called Palestinians Arabs in any other Arab country. You deserve not living in the West with your bile and distorted narrative..
cont.- "His gross characterizations of the land and the people in the time before mass Jewish immigration are also often used by U.S. propagandists for Israel... Twain's description of the all-Arab town of Nablus is typical... Calling the town Shechem, its biblical name, he described in detail the ancient roots of Jews there but never mentioned an Arab presence and only once used the name Nablus. In fact, Nablus had a population of 20,000 who were almost all Arabs apart from a few Samaritans. "
Let real sources refute you- In 1852 the American writer Bayard Taylor traveled across the Jezreel Valley, which he described in his 1854 book The Lands of the Saracen; or, Pictures of Palestine, Asia Minor, Sicily and Spain as: "one of the richest districts in the world.",[39] while Lawrence Oliphant, who visited Palestine in 1887, wrote that Palestine's Valley of Esdraelon was "a huge green lake of waving wheat, with its village-crowned mounds rising from it like islands;
refuting "triplecheck4" liar cont. from famed "Israeli" geneticist Ariella Oppenheim; Referring to those of the Muslim faith more specifically, it reaffirmed that Palestinian "Muslim Arabs are descended from Christians and Jews who lived in the southern Levant, a region that includes Israel, Sinai and part of Jordan." Geneticist Michael Hammer praised "the study for 'focusing in detail on the Jewish and Palestinian populations.'"
Then you better read Mark Twain's book: "The Innocent Abroad" written in 1867 when Mark Twain traveled to Palestine/Holy-Land. The described Palestine as desolated waste land, he couldn't see a human being on his routs and he describe Shechm/Nablus populated Samaritan/Jews. Or read Karl Marx article of 1962 published in the New York Tribune about the Jews being majority in Jerusalem. Get your fact straight. There was never such a sovereign state called Palestine no matter how you slice it.
old Zionist propaganda using a racist old American author's exaggerations; this is pathetic old Zionist propaganda. I'll let former CIA employee and author Kathleen Christison refute your garbage in her 2001 book "Perceptions of Palestine: Their Influence on US Middle East Policy"; Quote- "In modern times, Twain's exaggerations have become grist for the mills of those who propagate the line that Palestine was a desolate land until settled and cultivated by Jewish pioneers.
More showing Twain is not a historical source, he's a exaggerating fiction author; on Twain in Greece; Quote- From the above quote, the reader may get the impression that Greece is also empty since he stated: "We saw no ploughed fields, very few villages, no trees or grass or vegetation of any kind,"
On the other hand, he contradict himself on the exact same page. He stated: "The nation numbers only eight hundred thousand souls." (The Innocents Abroad, p. 203)
Zionist movement is a racist farce; The Jewish population of Israel includes people from fifty countries, of different physical types, speaking different languages and practicing different religions (or no religion at all), defined as a single people based on the fiction that they, and only they, are descended from the Biblical Abraham. It is so patently false that only Zionists and Nazis even pretend to take it seriously.
Read the 1922 Palestine Mandate Document. carefully. Judea, Samaria, Gaza and the Golan Heights belong to the Jewish State, a nation state. And to top it off Israel gained back these lands in a defensive war. King Hussein refused to accept the West Bank after the 1967 war and Sadat refused to accept Gaza, a land that was inhabited by Jews prior to the 1948 war. Indeed Makdisi is clueless!
Whose expense Mr. Makdis? Occupied from whom? The West bank was illegally occupied by the Jordanian for 19 years and Gaza was occupied by Egypt prior to 1967. According to the 1922 Palestine Mandate document, a legally valid document to date that even the Israeli government can never revoke it -- This document is under sacred trust like the other 20 mandate awarded after the fall of the Ottoman Empire.
And why create the 23rd Arab state, all of whom were created after the fall of the Ottoman Empire except Yemen and Morocco, in the heart of the Jewish people ancestral patrimony where they were birthed? Shame on professor Makdisi for distorting history and facts on the ground. He should not be teaching because he is helpful to no one not even to his own people. He is a Lebanese. Mr. Makdisi why is it the Lebanon does not treat these Arabs/Palestinians with equal right? Hypocrisy has no limit!
There is no such a people-hood as Palestinian, they are Arabs. Read the PLO charter, it says: they are integral part of the Arab nation. Makisi careless about the "Palestinians" he just hates Jews/Israel more.l
Also, there was never such as soverigne state called Palestine. Palestine was merely a region named so by the British and it compromised what is today Israel and Jordan. Jordan is Palestine and comprised of more than 70% the so called Arab Palestinian, Queen Rania is a Palestinian and Jodrdan's flag is the same as the PLO dot differed. Moreover, Read the current Jordanian National Charter, Chapter 7. It states that the Arab Palestinian and the Jordanian are one people.
Your a liar, let an "Israeli" geneticist Ariella Oppenheim refute you; Ariella Oppenheim (a famous Israeli geneticist) appears to match historical accounts that Arab Israelis and Palestinians, together as the one same population, represent modern "descendants of a core population that lived in the area since prehistoric times", albeit religiously first Christianized then largely Islamized, and all eventually culturally Arabized.
Makdisi continues to wallow in the Arab narrative which is based on falsehood. And that is why they don't come to being because not only they are the aggressors but also Palestine was never a sovereign state. Creating a people-hood on false identity takes one no where but to oblivion.
Palestine was never a sovreign state? ancient Judea/ Israel were never sovreign states. They was always under the sway of some larger empire be it the Egyptians, the Babylonians, Assyrians, Persians, Hellenes, or Romans.
YOu talk about the falsehoods in the arab narrative (some do exist) but you neglect to speak of the lies and distortions in the zionist narrative. The narrative that gets all the media play in the west. Their identity is no more false than yours you racist

It is perfectly clear, that Makdisi cares less about the Gazan and West bankers Palis. He like most in the Arab world only uses these Gazan and West Bankers Palis as pawns only because they dream of destroying Israel. Make no bones about it. Makdisi is a fake, Makdisi is evil..
Palestinians prior to 1948 were Jews, Christians, Arabs, and others. Today's Israel is comprised of all, Jordan is 80% Arab Palestinians, no Jews and barely Christians.
Palestinian people = Arabs, = Jordanian/Syrians/Egyptians,etc., all originated in the Arabian desert, today's SA.
Mr. Makdisi, the world recognized the Jewish historical connection to the land of Palestine/Israel, why not you?
There were 120 million refugees after WWII, the have all settled with barely a nickel to their name.
Arab/Palestinians got millions/billions of dollars from UNRWA and other international agencies for the last 60 years, but where it had gotten them? But to indoctrination in the vein of the Muslim Brotherhood/fanatic Islam, hate and destroy Israel/America/West. Makdisi is clearly virulent anti-Israel. He should be stripped of his credentials for his blatant lies and misinformation.
80% of todays Jordanians are the so called Palestinians. Queen Rania is a Palestinian; the Jordanian flag is a dot differed than the PLO. Read the current Jordanian National Charter.
The Gazan are mostly Egyptians; they speak the same language and have the same culture as the rest of the 21 Arab Counties. So why not annex the Gazans to Egypt. Egypt ruled it prior to 1967. And the West Bankers are Jordanians; they all had/still have a Jordanian passport. 78% of historical Palestine is todays Jordan; it has ample land. Jordan should absorb the West Bankers.
It would be much better if all the Arabs go back to where they originated from, the Arabian Desert, today Saudi Arabia. Including if they return Egypt to the Christian Copt. Jews and Christian are indigenous to the Near East long before Islam or any Arab! But the Islamic movement wish to rule the wold and thus expelled all the Christian and Jews from the Near East. More than 50% Israelis came from the Near East, that is Yemen, Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, all of which did not exist prior to WWI
Who told you so? Your own mind. Please...... but do read this book by Howard Greif: The Legal Foundation And Borders Of Israel Under International Law. Or Efraim Karsh book: Fabricating Israel's history. And there are plenty more..
you're kidding, aren't you? both Greif and his book and openly, frankly and proudly racist, and as for Karsh's book, it has been so roundly smashed by serious scholars that the reviews of the book read like teachers correcting a schoolboy! if partisan hacks and racists are all you read as "authorities" then it would be no surprise that you hold ignorant and racist views yourself.
Makdisi is beyond the pale in his hatred for Israel. The so called "Palestinians" are Arab people and should be absorbed in the 21 Arab contries created after the fall of the Ottoman Empire. Arabs originated in the Arabia. All should have a right of return to the Arabia. Don't take his word for it. And he preyes on any Israeli quotes to justify his own sick narrative only because he hate Israel! The racist here is Makdisi and the rest of the 21 Arab countries. Makdisi: Freudian Projection.
racists are opposed to universal human rights. he openly and dogmatically demands universal human rights. therefore he is not a racist. you on the other hand appear to be opposed to universal human rights. therefore you must in fact be the racist. interesting that the best you can come up with, as a racist, is to call someone who is opposed to racism a racist! hilarious!
instead of calling for abolition of israel - more just would be to bring at least jordanians and egyptians with you - and let's negotiate territories exchanges. there are huge amounts of EMPTY or at least sparsely populted areas around in jordan/egypt - so only if you, arabs, accept the very notion of israeli existence, we can be sure that a more just solution can be found - both for israelis and palestinian arabs, with the refugees prblem also solved!
the refugee problem won't be solved that way at all. Their right to return, as granted to them under internaional law, is to their homelands inhabited by them pre-1948...not to jordan or egypt. Israel, as it is now, was formed through ethnic cleansing and disposession - this reality stares Israel in the face. It's time to end the racist exclusivity of Israel and incorporate a more ethnically.racially tolerant nation that can be a nation of it's citizens.
parts of their lands where refugees lived i would be ready to give if just the neighbouring countries, syria, jordan, lebanon, egypt don't pretend to be different nations than the arabs of palestine and if they are ready to give up parts of their territories - unpopulated or sparsely populated territories...
but if they continue pretending to be "different" nations than the arabs of palestine - then don't put all the blame on israel...
if the palestinians are a nation they would want two stats BC every nation have a will for a free state. tell me please this one state of yours will it be Israel of palestine? if it will be palestine what will happen to the Jews ? what will happen to the Israelis cities, culture, streets, art, books way of life. and so on? you are talking about a destruction of a nation. if the palestinian want to live in Israel under Israel laws and goverment well then the pastiness are not a nation after all.
I also read his book. his only argument against the two state is that Israel have settlements in the west bank so now there is no room for palestine. well Israel shown that its capable of evacuating settlements like we did in Gaza. the same thing will happen in the west bank. but not before a deal sign by the Palestinians to declare the end the war. and build Palestine separate from Israel as a different state.
In my travels in Israel & Palestine last year, almost all palestinians I talked to, were vocal in expressing that they did not hate Jews, but hated the oppression and injustice that they lived under. Most Israelis talked of Palestinians in contempt.. as if they were dangerous animals. The reality is simply this : the majority of Israelis fundamentally reject the principles of democracy and freedom for all, and blame the resulting resistance on the oppressed.
there are two nationalities israelis and Palestine's. not Jews and palestinians. I am as an Israeli want to live in Israel not in palestine. I will fight for that right. what are you going to do make me? same as the palestinians don't want to live in Israel. the only solution is two state solution the more you keep pushing the Israelis in to corner the the faster you will find out that a transfer will be the only solution acceptable by the Israeli public
Funny how when people are desperate they will throw their freedom away for stability and order. If the Israeli's faced the same plight that the people of Gaza do, you would find Israel being run on Fascistic Kahanist lines in no time flat. Desperate people do desperate things, no matter their language, colour, or ethnic lineage.
Take the desperation out of the Palestinian character, and you will also remove the tendency to commit desperate acts.

this dumb guy is really stupid. the Muslims will outbreed the jews and kill all of the jews. these muslims will make us all dhimmi , we have to fight them before it is too late.
Umm, how do you expect this not to be taken for the racist rhetoric it is? In North America, you have racists saying the same things. Substitute Jew with White, Muslim with Black, and Dhimmi with race war, and you essentially have neo-nazism. Besides, since when does Palestinian=Muslim? Whatabout all the Christian or nonreligious Palestinians?
The only salvation for humanity is the end of Religion and Nationalism. Both lead to hatred and violence.
I think what the other guy was trying to say is that we are talking about two nationalities not two races. this is nothing like whites and blacks but more like opening the border with Mexico in to the US and make Americans share the land with Mexicans under the same government. it ridiculous. never going to happen and I am sure every American would fight against it as well as the Mexicans
rachterry, i cannot read A CASE OF FREUDIAN PROJECTION without imagining that it was written by a warmongering neo-con who thinks that the jews are chosen by God to be a superior race. i challenge you to find one article written by Rachel Neuwirth at the American Thinker that criticises Israeli aggression.

The warmongering neonuts here is simply you. you even call yourself so! Israel is never an ocupping power nor that is aggresive against anyone in general but simply defend herself against the constant aggression of the Arab world and Makdisi is full of it! Makdisi lies, distort and reinvent the lies, shame on him! He should be stripped off his professorship! He is loaded with venom and hate, in fact I would classify him as an anti-Semite or rather a Jew hater, lout!
does it say that in the torah bible? I think it says that you should not kill plus if israelis think that palestine is theres the only way it is is if they go against there own religeon.
arab lies, distortions, deceptions and half-truths. israel is the land of the jews. we were given this land by G-d and have lived there ever since, sometimes as a sovereign nation, mostly ruled by other conquering nations. this strted way before the arabs left arabia to try and conquer the world. the so-called palestinians are the usurpers in the present time. and the so-called palestinian nation was invented in 1964, in order to destroy the state of israel.

Zionism is an illness. The zionists are the only ones lying and decieving. The jews of Israel have nothing to do with the Ancient jews, you are Eastern European converts to judaism (Khazars). You Liebermans and Dershowitzes need to go to Ukraine.

@shnoepie1 tell that to our DNA.“Despite their long-term residence in different countries and isolation from one another, most Jewish populations were not significantly different from one another at the genetic level." @avivai6 "The Ashkenazi paternal gene pool does not appear to be similar to that of present-day Turkish speakers. @shnoepie1 zionism is the fulfillment of the promise G-d made to us, we who have the same DNA as our ancestral, middle eastern ancestors. the only illness in the region is the sick writings in the koran ordering all the arabs (who come from ARABIA) to destroy and kill all jews and to conquer the world. go back where you came from and take your sick book with you. the promises of G-d assure us that you will not succeed in your evil plans to destroy us.
avivai6 2 months ago
@avivai6 Jews have had rights in muslim countries, like they never had in the West. Ofcourse there were incidents, but on a whole jews had a relatively large freedom. Almost all Caliphs and sultans made sure to protect the jews from harm, because it was WRITTEN IN THE KORAN THAT THEY SHOULD DO SO. The Ancient Babylonian Semites opressed the jews, the Romans expelled and opressed them, so did the Byzantines, the Franks and ofcourse Christians.
shnoepie1 2 months ago
@shnoepie1 While Jewish communities in Islamic countries fared better overall than those in Christian lands in Europe, Jews were no strangers to persecution and humiliation among the Arabs. As Princeton University historian Bernard Lewis has written: "The Golden Age of equal rights was a myth, and belief in it was a result, more than a cause, of Jewish sympathy for Islam."
avivai6 2 months ago
@shnoepie1 The Muslim attitude toward Jews is reflected in various verses throughout the Koran, the holy book of the Islamic faith. "They [the Children of Israel] were consigned to humiliation and wretchedness. They brought the wrath of God upon themselves, and this because they used to deny God's signs and kill His Prophets unjustly and because they disobeyed and were transgressors" (Sura 2:61).
avivai6 2 months ago
@shnoepie1 According to the Koran, the Jews try to introduce corruption (5:64), have always been disobedient (5:78), and are enemies of Allah, the Prophet and the angels (2:97-98). Jews were generally viewed with contempt by their Muslim neighbors; peaceful coexistence between the two groups involved the subordination and degradation of the Jews. the koran says trees and rocks will say: "Oh Muslim, Oh servant of God, here is a Jew hiding behind me. Come here and kill him."
avivai6 2 months ago
@shnoepie1 the myth that jews were protected is rooted in the traditional concept of the "dhimma" ("writ of protection"), which was extended by Muslim conquerors to Christians and Jews in exchange for their subordination to the Muslims. Yet, as French authority Jacques Ellul has observed: "One must ask: 'protected from whom?' When this 'stranger' lives in Islamic countries, the answer can only be: from the Muslims themselves." the jews & christians had very few rights under muslim rule.
avivai6 2 months ago
@avivai6 Early muslim civilizations were not liberal societies, you shouldnt compare them to modern societies. But compared to earlier Western societies, Islam has been very kind and protective of non-muslims. Simply look at the diversity in modern Muslim countries and compare it to the dicǘersity in the West, where non-Christian groups have always been absent. Where the jews were annihalated. Then look at muslim countries, with the jews, Christians and different sects living side by side.
shnoepie1 2 months ago
@avivai6 The diversity proves that muslims have been very tolerant. The Christian crusaders ruled for less than two centuries in Palestine, after which there were no jews left there. The muslims reconquered it and the jewish presence rose instantly. The same goes for Spain, where jews had an active role in Islamic society for over 800 years. Then the Christians reconquered Andalusa and the jews where instantly expelled, the Muslims were either forced to convert or expelled a 150 years later.
shnoepie1 2 months ago
@avivai6 The chosen jews have nothing to do with you. You are Ukrainian Slavic converts. You belong in Eastern Europe, not in the holy land. It wasnt untill you sick Slavics created Zionism that these problems started, before that the real jews never had the ambition to destroy Islam there.
shnoepie1 2 months ago
@shnoepie1 until you can show me scientific proof that you have examined my DNA and can prove that i am not genetically related to the jewish nation you have no authority to claim that the chosen jews have nothing to do with me. you obviously just ignore the posts i gave above citing studies showing that ashkenazi and sepharidi jews are more closely related to each other GENETICALLY than to the gentiles they live among. you can ignore facts, but you can't change them.
avivai6 2 months ago
@avivai6 Youre the ones who colonized land which isnt yours, youre the ones who need to explain. In an earlier post you ask `protect from whom?`. You as a European jew have the nerve to quote a Westerner on how the muslims are some kind of threat to the jews... Dont you understand that Westerners have traditionally been the greatest killers and oppressors of jews?? The hypocrisy of this French dude is worse than that of the zionists..

Its time gypt take Gaza, Israel take its border settlement blocks, and Jordan take the rest of the West Bank.
warpedcomedy 1 year ago
@warpedcomedy
Yeah if you don't want to share the land with the natives and you say that one state solution is impossible then it should be impossible for Germany to be a democratic nation either, Germany should become a Nazi state again and take its Jews back from Israel and send them where it was sending them earlier, that will clear Palestine for its native peopl to return.
optimistsRUS 1 year ago
@optimistsRUS What? 22 Arab countries ain't good enough for you? By the way, Jews are the natives. They have been living there for over 5,000 years. Arabs did not appear in the land until 636 CE. Germany today is a state for ethnic Germans, and allows anyone of German ancestry to immigrate. The same is true for Ireland, China, Japan, Lithuania, Russia, and Serbia. Most democratic states do favor those with ethnic ties to these countries. Besides, what country would agree to destroy itself?
warpedcomedy 1 year ago
@warpedcomedy
What? 50 countries ain't good enough for Jews? They had New York as well, why did they want another country? The Jews who migrated to Palestine in 20th century were not natives, only 5% of the native population of Palestine was Jewish at the start of 20th century. Native Palestinians should be given equal rights, as much rights as the European settlers have, that's what I call for, I do not call for their expulsion or elimination.
optimistsRUS 1 year ago
@optimistsRUS Actually, Jews are only found worldwide because the ancient Romans expelled so many of them in 70 CE. However, genetic studies have found that they all bear a common heritage to the Middle East. Arabs are indigenous to the Arabian peninsula, Jews are indigenous to the Southern Levant. The Palestinians are a non-native population which arrived in 636, while the Jews have been there for 5,000 years. And please don't repeat the "Jews run America" blood libel.
warpedcomedy 1 year ago
@warpedcomedy
And it were the Muslim countries that gave them refuge from crazy Christians of Europe, it were the Muslim rulers of Palestine who allowed Jews to settle there again while the Crusaders massacred them or kicked them out. Now why do the Jews have to take the revenge of terrorist Christians from native Palestinians who are their cousins?
optimistsRUS 1 year ago
@optimistsRUS The Muslim countries were softer, but they were still harsh on Jews. The fact is, there were still pogroms there, and whenever that happened, the Arabs would say "why not go back to your Holy Land"? There were always discriminatory laws and racism. And please stop repeating that "Native Palestinians" line. Most of them either came during the Arab conquest of Byzantine Palestine or immigrated when Jewish pioneers were improving it in the early 1900s.
warpedcomedy 1 year ago
@warpedcomedy
What is your point in defending Jewish apartheid?
optimistsRUS 1 year ago
@optimistsRUS Treated best does not mean they were treated great at all. In some areas, Jews could not even build a house any higher than a Muslim's. They were allowed to live and work, with only occasional antisemitic violence, but they were always second-class citizens. The land may have been only 5% Jewish, but its because the Romans exiled so many of them. Thousands of Jews returned to their homeland in the 20th century. The Arabs were a majority due to their massive migrations and birthrate
warpedcomedy 1 year ago
@warpedcomedy
In early 1900s the Jews were only 5% of the total population, the rest of the 95% Palestinians are what I call native Palestinians, the majority of the Jews were settlers just like the European settlers who came to Americas or to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa etc. All the other settler states have now given pretty much equal rights to native people, South Africa was the most recent one, Israel on the other hand is one stark exception.
optimistsRUS 1 year ago
@optimistsRUS Actually, like I said before, Jews are indigenous. Israel has a history of 5,000 years on that land. There was a continuous Jewish presence there, even at 5% they endured, while the Jews exiled to other parts of the world never lost their dream of returning to their homeland. The Palestinians are immigrants who came there after the Jews began improving the ec onomic conditions. Thousands upon thousands of "native" immigrants poured in.
warpedcomedy 1 year ago
"Thousands upon thousands of "native" immigrants poured in."
@warpedcomedy
These are facts, how can you call the native Palestinians "immigrants?"
optimistsRUS 1 year ago
@optimistsRUS You forget though, that the pop. then was only 120,000 people total. 95% of that is not a lot. By 1947, there were more Jews living in the Land than 120,000, while Arab migration quintupled their numbers.
warpedcomedy 1 year ago
@warpedcomedy
And you forget though that 95% of any number still means a 95% majority, and 5% of any number still means a very tiny minority.
120,000 is a ridiculous figure any way, the population in 1893 is quoted as 414,000 to 600,000.
There is no point talking to a pro-occupation, pro-apartheid blind hater.
optimistsRUS 1 year ago
@optimistsRUS Of course it means a majority, but you forget that it still does not mask the fact that MOST Palestinians were immigrants, because in the 1800s Palestine was bare and underpopulated, with 120,000. Early Palestine was described by visitors as a barren and desolate land. British and Turkish demographic figures point to an "abnormal rate" of Arab immigration leading up from the start of the 20th century to Israeli independence.
warpedcomedy 1 year ago
@warpedcomedy
The archaeological finds are from an older era, Russian and European Jews had no link to Palestine in roughly the last 2000 years.
optimistsRUS 1 year ago
@optimistsRUS My source comes from Masada2000. The New York Review of Books also has a 1986 article written by Daniel Pipes and Ronald Sanders, which draw from numerous sources and accounts of witnesses. Daniel Pipes' review of the book "From Time Immemorial" is supportive of Palestine as a bare and empty land with few people, as well as Arab mass migration, but critical of the book itself.
warpedcomedy 1 year ago
@optimistsRUS Also remember that the demographic figures you are telling me come from Justin McCarthy, a controversial historian noted for Armenian Genocide denial. He is contradicted by authors Baruch Kimmerling and Joel Migdal in their book "The Palestinian People: A History". On Page 214, the demographic figures of Palestine in 1882 are noted as 320,000, including 25,000 Jews. "First Photographs of the Holy Land" by Eli Shiller also supports my point.
warpedcomedy 1 year ago
@optimistsRUS Even if they were a 100% majority back then, they would still be non-native, as British and Turkish authorities noted a massive amount of immigrants pouring in. Early 20th century Palestine's population became incomparable with that of 1947.
warpedcomedy 1 year ago

The problem is ethnic nationalism, a bankrupt idea that has led to horrific bloodshed and destruction wherever and whenever it has taken hold.
dfunked1 11 months ago

Makdisi is distorting the truth, facts and history. Shame on such professor; he does no one any good, including the Arabs of Judea and Samaria, and the Gazans
triplecheck4 1 year ago
@triplecheck4 I don't see any egregious distortions. Certainly though, he has different interpretations. I would counter that whatever the merits of his plan, it is simply impractical. The Israeli Knesset is already pretty much dysfunctional. I don't see how adding Palestinians into the mix will improve the situation. Perhaps after 25 years of peace a functional democratic Palestinian state could be united with Israel.
GorterPoss 1 year ago

Another classical scholar Imam al-Baghawi in his "Tafsir al-Baghawi"; Qur'an 17:104- [but when the promise of the Hereafter cometh to pass], that is the judgement day [We shall bring you as a crowd gathered out of various nations] That means: All of them together into the position of Judgement Day, mixed in every sense.
themanishere4 1 year ago
cont. on error of Yusuf Ali modern day guy; Quote- He claims that the establishment of their state through Balfour Declaration has marked the clear fulfillment of the prophecy. Although the Ayah speaks about gathering them all together on the Day of Resurrection to receive the recompense they deserve for their deeds. Hence he twists the meaning of an Ayah in the Noble Quran, in order to bless the establishment of Israel, and the gathering of the Jews on the land of Palestine.
themanishere4 1 year ago

Israel is a cosmopolitan country. triplecheck4 1 year ago
zionist mistranslation and misinterpretation of Qur'an Surah 17:104 this verse is talking about the Hereafter (Judgement Day); read from the works of classical Muslim scholars and their commentaries; Imam al-Qurtubi in Tafsir al-Qurtubi- [but when the promise of the Hereafter cometh to pass] that is Judgement Day (Qiyamah), [We shall bring you as a crowd gathered out of various nations] from your graves, mixed in every matter, the believers and the unbelievers together, not with their tribes.
themanishere4 1 year ago
What you and the Zionists misuse is the error filled Qur'an translation by modern day translator Yusuf Ali; on article refuting Yusuf Ali errors; Quote- And we said thereafter to the Children of Israel, dwell securely in the land (of promise): but when the second of the warnings came to pass, we gathered you together in a mingled crowd. (Al-Isrâ, 17:104)
thus we find him describing the final and the last promise or the promise of the Hereafter as the second of the warnings

Results of a DNA study by geneticist Ariella Oppenheim (a famous Israeli geneticist) appears to match historical accounts that Arab Israelis and Palestinians, together as the one same population, represent modern "descendants of a core population that lived in the area since prehistoric times", albeit religiously first Christianized then largely Islamized, and all eventually culturally Arabized.
themanishere4 1 year ago

In Spain the Jews asked the Muslims of North Africa to help them fight the oppressive Christian King Roderic. Sudan is related to British colonialism and divide and rule west colonialism.

Arabs originated in the Arabia. All should have a right of return to the Arabia. Don't take his word for it. And he preyes on any Israeli quotes to justify his own sick narrative only because he hate Israel! The racist here is Makdisi and the rest of the 21 Arab countries. Makdisi: Freudian Projection.

racists are opposed to universal human rights. he openly and dogmatically demands universal human rights. therefore he is not a racist. you on the other hand appear to be opposed to universal human rights. therefore you must in fact be the racist. interesting that the best you can come up with, as a racist, is to call someone who is opposed to racism a racist! hilarious!

One country with civil rights, and Israel would presumably stop bombing. Makdisi speaks reason and peace. No wonder the zealots don't like him.

Sari Makdisi piece of crap of the first kind! He is not helping the Arab/Palestinians, but helping to promot more hatred, lies and terror!

instead of calling for abolition of israel - more just would be to bring at least jordanians and egyptians with you - and let's negotiate territories exchanges. there are huge amounts of EMPTY or at least sparsely populted areas around in jordan/egypt - so only if you, arabs, accept the very notion of israeli existence, we can be sure that a more just solution can be found - both for israelis and palestinian arabs, with the refugees prblem also solved!
zshavit 3 years ago
the refugee problem won't be solved that way at all.
Consoleposterboy 3 years ago
parts of their lands where refugees lived i would be ready to give if just the neighbouring countries, syria, jordan, lebanon, egypt don't pretend to be different nations than the arabs of palestine and if they are ready to give up parts of their territories - unpopulated or sparsely populated territories...
but if they continue pretending to be "different" nations than the arabs of palestine - then don't put all the blame on israel...

if the palestinians are a nation they would want two stats BC every nation have a will for a free state. tell me please this one state of yours will it be Israel of palestine? if it will be palestine what will happen to the Jews ? what will happen to the Israelis cities, culture, streets, art, books way of life. and so on? you are talking about a destruction of a nation. if the palestinian want to live in Israel under Israel laws and goverment well then the pastiness are not a nation after all.

This guy has it right!!!!One state all the way.

I will fight for that right. what are you going to do make me? same as the palestinians don't want to live in Israel. the only solution is two state solution the more you keep pushing the Israelis in to corner the the faster you will find out that a transfer will be the only solution acceptable by the Israeli public

free , secular and democratic?those arabs voted for hamas , with the intent to establish an islamic state. what is wrong this guy?

Funny how when people are desperate they will throw their freedom away for stability and order. If the Israeli's faced the same plight that the people of Gaza do, you would find Israel being run on Fascistic Kahanist lines in no time flat. Desperate people do desperate things, no matter their language, colour, or ethnic lineage.
Take the desperation out of the Palestinian character, and you will also remove the tendency to commit desperate acts.

this dumb guy is really stupid. the Muslims will outbreed the jews and kill all of the jews. these muslims will make us all dhimmi , we have to fight them before it is too late.
oratorspeaker 4 years ago
