@seancohen23 first off thanks for removing your comment. second off sportsmanship isnt allowing the other team to score. also thanks for taking pot shots at my family. i guess u r right you are the bigger man
It’s amazing how unselfish and compassionate kids can be when they are raised right. I hope you show this video to your kids when you get home from work today.
Nope! He doesn't have the intelligence to know because of the syndrome but it would definitely be one of the best moments of his life. It's very moving.
any coach would be stupid to overlook a player with that kind of heart no matter what he can do on the feild. we had a guy with Down Syndrome at our school that came to every game and cheered as hard as he could no matter what the score was, and he meant just as much if not more to our team than guys that put points on the board every game. That's awesome that he's getting some fame. good luck the rest of the season IKE.
@pcmohondo68 a good friend and classmate of mine is crippled by cerepral palsy and has had to use a walker all his life to get around, but since freshman year (we are now seniors) he hasn't missed a football or basketball practice or game and when we lost last week it was the most gut wrenching thing to see a guy who will never touch the field crying that we lost because he loves the game and his team
Seen it on another video. And I must say. Pretty damn awesome. Sportsmanship definately isn't dead. And props to the local rivals, and another school did it too on the other video.
@inveretus I saw it earlier too & I think it was the same rival that allowed him to get the TD. I read that he told his team to let him score & make it believable by diving tackles that just miss etc. This gets me all choked up.
@inveretus It is the same school. The first video is from the Lake Stevens Vikings JV team in 2009 and the new one is from the Lake Stevens Vikings Varsity team in 2010.
Only people with real heart would have let him score. True character is judged the measure of a persons heart not by the points he puts on the board. Way to go IKE!!
This video is great ,thanks for showing it. I am a peak performance, breakthrough specialist. If we all had Ikes attitude the world would be a better place.
I see your sense of humanity and knowledge of the definition of sportsmanship are as profound as your ability to use punctuation and to spell. In the struggle of life, I put my money on the kid with Downs syndrome to accomplish more than you. For one, he has already scored a touchdown. I know you love to troll, but I find it pathetic that this is all you will ever do. The kid in the video has an excuse; you're just a monstrous misuse of matter.
@fromthescriptorum i dont think the kid has an excuse. he is a human being. many of disabled people will accomplish more then anyone i know. i never called him a monstrous misuse of matter. he didnt score a touchdown.
@aro327rulez listen, it was a kid who loved to play the sport even if he had a disability that limited the way he could play and the team was giving him a little kindness in return just for staying with the sport. I think it would be best for all of us if you just shut the fuck up and not even look at these videos because the way your acting is cruel and immature.
@jwilson2m5 you are the better man. i never threw around idiot or any term that was degrading. i have nothing against ike. i'm against what the allowed him to do.
@aro327rulez -what the hell is wrong with you. People like you make this world rotten. I hope that your life will always be rosie and for God's sake, I hope your kids are normal or will be normal, because I would feel bad for them having an ahole parent like you.
@twinkiewinkie1231 if my kid has down syndrome i wouldnt let him become a spectacle. he didnt score a touchdown. they let him. they did not uphold the integrity of the sport. it is not sportsmanship. it may be nice. but it is opposite of sportsmanship. lets let him score a td for the browns on sunday.
