Have you tried the dr feelgood by benefit? According to dulcecandy87 it modifies your face and helps for those whose skin tends to be a little bit oily. Just saying to see if you can review because dulce doesn't have the skin type as you and I have.
Hi Lisa, Thanks for this review. So now i am wondering what have you found out there that does work better or that is worth trying out? I know everyone is different. Thanks again :)
Hi Lisa, I have the same issue with my t-zone getting oily after lunch and I live in FL which doesn't help at all! I've tried sooo many products an the only one that works for me is the Dr.Brandt pores no more anti aging mattyfing lotion. I put it on after my moisturizer and before my foundation and it works. The days I get lazy because it's "one more step" I see the difference at around 1pm! I've recently purchased my 3rd bottle (at sephora).
the urban decay deslick works well for me, but i don't have that much of a problem with oily skin, just with makeup slippage. however, to combat the online only problem with skindinavia, you can just buy the urban decay ones because skindinavia makes those products as well
Hi, I have same problem with oil.But what can really help?I tryed many, but nothing helps, even this oil control basis,I think, they make it worst.In4 hours I have lot of oil in my T zone :-(,i have to use paper, but it damage the make up.So,its sad.
just wash your face with lush's coalface sopa, the charcoal in it completely gets rid of oil and then use something like benefit porefeshional on your nose before putting on your make up that's what I do :s
HAHA! I love how you started this review out nicely and ended up being bluntly honest in the end. I love you and your videos! Congrats on getting married!<3
I read the reviews on MakeUp Alley, they seem to say the Guerlain Extreme runs dark. I have light skin with pink undertones, ANYTHING yellow based looks like I painted my face with yellow paint. So that's why I decided to go with the #1. I hope it's not to yellow or light, would hate to spend the money to buy another one and have to mix them.
I have this product and I share your opinion. I ordered this because I really like another Skindanavia setting spray called "Dance!"- that one works wonderful-it keeps your makeup on, helps control oil and keeps your blush from fading. I am using the No More Oil, just to use it up and then I'm buying another bottle of Dance! They also have a bridal makeup spray as well, you might want to check that one out- some of the Skindanavia sprays are really good.
I was not too pleased with the product either but originally thought it was because I purchased the Urban Decay spray and not the original skindinavia one. After watching your review, I have to agree that it does not work on the oil controlling aspect of it. It is slightly better just using it as a setting spray I guess. Thanks for all your reviews!
I use the Urban Decay De-Slick version. At first I thought it didn't help at all. But after I used it consistently for a few weeks, it really did help control oil on my face and did a great job of setting my makeup. When I ran out of my first bottle a week ago, I quickly realized just how much it had been helping. Without it, my face has been 2-3 times more oily again. I just bought another bottle today! :)
Honestly I think this product is the exact same as the Urban Decay De-Slick Spray, considering it even says on their label "by Skindinavia" or whatever. I tried the De-Slick spray and thought the exact same way as you did. It is by no means NOT worth the $30+ and I'm sure there are better options out there, probably less commercialized by some of the paid, overly ecstatic gurus here on youtube that have sworn by many products that have done little to nothing for me.
I love this stuff! I put it on before my foundation and then after I have put all my makeup on. I can see the difference for me, but I have really oily skin.
@cheriangel777 You should try the all nighter...that helps your make up to stay better. It's the same thing as the Urban Decay which you can get at Sephora or Ulta.
I use the Urban Decay version which is by skindanavia and I LOOOOOVE it. I use it both before and after. I have super oily skin and I will say I'm not COMPLETELY matte but I don't want to look that way anyway. Being too matte especially during the summer looks like you're wearing too much make up. I use four squirts both before and after my make up and it lasts all day which is pretty good considering I use a drugstore brand. I'm sorry it didn't work as well for you.
I have this....and what I do is spray it before on my face, then apply make-up and then spray a bit more and then powder. It's almost leaves a hairspray type of residue on the skin so powder is necessary afterwards.
This stuff is not bad, it does work, it is not going to totally stop you from being oily though. The Urban Decay spray is similar also.
i take vitamin a and my skin is soooooooooooooooooooo much less oily! and vitamin e kinda improved the texture, but vitamin a made the biggest difference to me! more than any skincare product ever has haha :) x
Have seen that product and was curious about it. Thanks for the review, I am not curious anymore! Love your hair today. Just one question, have you decided which foundation you are wearing for your wedding? I did alot of research on the Guerlain Extreme and I order the #1 from Strawberrynet after I ordered it I found out they are in Hong Kong??? Oh boy, don't think I would have ordered it if I knew that. They were one of the only companys that carried the #1. Have u dealt with them?
have you tried to MAC oil control lotion? it works pretty well for me. im really oily in my t zone as well and the rest is kinda dry. i dont have to blot for at least 5 hours with it.
I always wonder about this, has your fiance' ever seen you without makeup? I am getting married in the fall and mine never has... does this scare anyone? :D
@Femanaute My husband told me once (long after we got married) that as a young man he had heard the following principle: "If you wake up in the morning by your significant other who is without make up and you don't want to escape - this must be true love." He never escaped, we got married, so test your fiance' yourself :)
Thank you for reviewing this video, i found it very helpful! Your hair and makeup look lovely in this video, i found this video really helpful! Love you and your videos, hope you have a lovely wedding! :) xxxxxxx
@lampshade403 ummm @floddelflidflad was saying that she trusts lisa's review and thinks OTHER gurus got paid to lie and say this product is amazing. get your facts before making accusations against other youtubers like that.
@floddelflidflad thing is you have to remember just because one product works for some people doesnt mean it'll work for another set of people :) differnt products work for differnt people, this doesnt mean that the other gurus are lying :)
@floddelflidflad I use the De-Slick stuff that Urban Decay sells (also made by Skindanavia), and I think it works great on my oily skin. 8 sprays every morning. I'm not a Guru, and they are DEFINITELY aren't paying me.
@floddelflidflad Well, every skin is different! Your skin tells you if it doesn't like a specific product, just because someone doesn't like it, it doesn't mean, everyone else is lying. I heard raves on twitter and MUA too. :)
Did not work for me
