Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Little Mermaid, Snow White, The Jungle Book and even Zorro! The Japanese have turned these western classics into awesome cartoons, adding some of that Asian magic of there's into the mix! This shows are epic right down to the very core of animation everywhere!

To bad Marvel Studios can't grab onto a proper Japanese writer to do the same with it's own comic book/anime projects! Personally I would recommend Nobuhiro Watsuki, big Marvel Comics fan!

This opening and the anime looks really awesome...but why do a lot of (especially older) shows always have to have some mini-kid version of main character (As in Chibi-Usa from Sailor Moon) or kidify the main character (as in Detective Conan)? Are kids really unable to relate without some little kid who's bound to be annoying?

It was a cool series and I really like that character design ... but I've never understood why they chose to portray Zorro with blonde hair and blue eyes ... is he supposed to be German Zorro? Being Zorro a Mexican hero I've always imagined him with dark hair and eyes!

OR alternatively they gave him blonde hair and blue eyes as to avoid having their Zorro look like a dead ringer for Sailor Moon's Tuxedo Kamen/Mask.

However you have to admit that I'm right when I'm saying that usually Zorro has always been being depicted as a stereotypical Mexican with dark hair, brown eyes and even moustache!

I don’t think anybody is saying there aren’t blond Spaniards, there are plenty Zorro however was ALWAYS portrayed as dark haired; It’s like Superman suddenly being portrayed as blond So yeah this looks off to most On top of that, he usually dressed in all black and for the most part rode an all black horse. It’s a pretty recognizable iconic image, so to see him here with blond hair, the white shirt, and the white horse it just ads to the total WTF? reactions by many

the opening is just EPIC, the disguise however is ridiculous xD, you can see his hair, his normal clothes under the cape, he pretty much just uses gloves, changes boots, wears a cape, hat and a really small mask that doesn't even cover his hair well enough to say "hey that CAN"T be Diego" xD, other than that is one of the most amazing openings i've ever seen O_O
