  • Sorry to hear. Hm, have you found the attacker yet?

  • thats messed up. i hope they catch that attacker if they haven't already.

  • Of course I would come and also my brother does not even have the words "queer" in his vocab. I believe Lance may have exaggerated that just to make this into a hate crime just like by saying he was a skinhead. I doubt if he knew who Lance was other than someone with money in his wallet my bother goes to school sadly for two things to steal and to get a refund check. My best friend of 8 years is a gay man he is also a transvestite and is welcomed into our family by everyone even my brother.

  • @LoveConquersAll2012 Thanks! I've sent you a PM.

  • @LoveConquersAll2012 The reason it's being considered as a possible hate crime is that the attacker probably did know that Lance was both TG and gay and - most importantly - your brother mocked Lance with a gay slur seconds before the attack happened. Would you be willing to come to the Transgender Center and talk about this? We have an archive and I would be extremely grateful to you and your family if you would preserve your perspective for the future!

  • was it a bashing bashed on gender or just an assualt & robbery?

  • @nochokin It started with the attacker mockingly stating, "Hey queer!" After the name, the victim was put into a headlock with a knife to the throat, beaten down and had their head kicked resulting in a concussion. So yes, it seems like he was targeted for being GLBT. It's the same thing if someone caught a black man alone in a restroom and mockingly said "hey nig*er" right before beating them to the ground, kicking their head once their down and giving them a concussion.

  • @ehipassiko well being trans and black, i have been robbed and it wasnt based on hate.....it was based on opportunity..... and i have have been eye witness to sitution were assualts happen to LGBT member and it was called hate crime but it wasnt based on hate.....so that why i asked

  • @nochokin What it comes down to isn't whether or not he was robbed or even if robbery was the ultimate goal, the question is... Did he single him out due to his being a member of the GLBT community? The fact that he attacker mockingly referred to him as a queer before putting a knife to his throat seems to point towards a bias crime.

  • wow. how ignorant is society nowadays. seriously , what a coward man to attacck a defenseless person .

  • Sorry about the crappy editing. I'm still working on my learning curve.
