I went every year from 1988 until 1998. It used to be a solumn occasion but has now turned into a freak circus with wannabe bad musicians, Socialists and college misfits. Sure, that's mixed with true Beatles fans but the vast majority are just people looking to be part of anything. I went at the 25th anniversary but thats it. I mean David Peel doesn't even show up anymore. That says a lot when he feels he can't get any attention - and he KNEW John Lennon.

I had a great time, maybe the misfits took a break this year. There were one or two idiots there later in the day but everyone else was great. And compared to John Lennon we are all bad musicians. Im sure John appreciated it.

I went yesterday and I froze up like an ice cube. Lost feeling in both my feet and my hands but it was totally worth it for John.

When I tried to walk my feet wouldnt bend because they were so frozen ! When were you there and where were you standing ? Are you in any of these pictures ?

Yeah, I'm in one. I got there at around 4 because of school. I'm the kid with the hat and scarf at 0:51. I had a blast there though.

Thanks for sending me the pictures! I was going to go but I woke up yesterday with a nasty cold. I'll be back in February for George's Tribute for sure... =]
