I'd like to throw this out there: Marriage as a concept - as originally founded - is worlds away from today. The idea that marriage shouldn't be changed is null & void in a way, we've adjusted it through time to protect children from marrying & to give people the right to leave a marriage if it doesn't work and they're happier without each other. Isn't same sex marriage just another logical step in making this institution more about intimacy & love instead of structure & dogmatism?

I don't understand why this is an issue. Two consenting adults should be able to marry each other. Period. That "marriage is sacred" crap just doesn't fly. People marry others for money, security, political reasons, you name it. It's a legally binding union, and none of the churches business. And why do people care who other people marry? The fact that things like Prop 8 even exist in this country is atrocious. Since when did the US become a non-secular country? Anybody who has a problem with gay marriage obviously has a problem with the 'separation of church and state'.
Not everybody in America is religious, and the government needs to protect that. Marriage is a contract between two people and the state. I've NEVER heard a logical anti-gay marriage argument that wasn't set in a religious context.

people who say gay is wrong not normal or natural.....well guys are born with vaginas and women are born with a penis all the time but this isnt normal, so why cant someone be born gay, if you can be born with a penis and vagina, i think you can be born with different sexual hormones. sexual attration is only hormones in the body, cant a guy be born with partial female hormones, just like a guy can be born with ovaries and a vagina.
