channel five said they couldn't find a suitable slot for house after they've started to show the mentalist. plus they said it was let go because of commercial reasons - so basically they can't afford it any more.

Yes he is as evidence by the fact that he made us Huddy fans feel secure in the fact that they had sex and found yet another way to take it away from us :P Although I must say I'm not too angered by the fact that it was all a hallucination because some of the dialogue from 5x23 was pretty farfetched...
some of it was abit out of character, yes but DS is the one who makes these characters, they are his, he can do what the hell he wants with them. So him as the creator decides what happens. So its not really out of character. And i totally agree about him stealing are hopes and dreams. lol

Personally I think it's channel 5's own fault.
They offer us the Mentalist cr@p instead of House - gets the fan's backs up and so Sky deliver what we want.
IIRC channel 5 have house in the autumn.
