  • Wow! Like many of you posting here, I had this album back in the 70s and loved its soulfulness. Listening to this track brought back memories and goosebumps (someone else mentioned them as well). I was a student of Swami Satchidananda of the Integral Yoga Society in NYC, at the time, and a whole new way of being was opening before me, I'm going to get the CD, since the platter went its way sometime ago - hopefully blessing someone else's ears, heart and soul. Sat Nam!

  • I had this album, still find myself chanting this unconsciously to myself , hey maybe the 1960's as not a waste maybe if we incorporate some mindfulness back into our lives we still can turn it around! hm? what do you think, miss you George!!,

  • I do have a copy of it- and it also gives me goose bumps!

  • hare krishna!!

  • it's not the one with a bird on it, it is figures from the temple, and the backround is red.

  • i do. i bought it in 1970. it is so so beautiful.

  • Krishna all that is, my love ! Thanks for this wonderfull song, with this wonderfull picture. Krishna spirit, buddha spirit, christ consciousness... just one thing to say, Hare Krishna !

  • The radha krishna temple album which this is from (also called the goddess of fortune) has now been released on cd, look on Amazon

  • My favorite!!!

  • I kept it for many years and it is now in the possession of my daughter and her family as they have the turntable to play it on. I played it ALL of the time. It must have done me great good. All praises to the Lord!

  • I have album if it is one with giant bird govinda on front page, it was gift from my art professor, I was 13 years back in 1995, and loved songs much, it is on lp and I don't know to transfer it on cd. But I still have gramophone too:-)

  • I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, the first progenitor

I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, who is adept in playing on His flute, with

blooming eyes like lotus petals with head decked with peacock's feather, with

the figure of beauty tinged with the hue of blue clouds, and His unique

    loveliness charming millions of Cupids.

  • Awesome! I have the reissued cd that came out in the early 1990s! Timeless music!

  • This famous chant is the opening track the temple made for Apple records in 1970. Produced by ex-Beatle George Harrison, This kind of makes me cry every time I play it. Has anyone a copy of that album somewhere?

  • @headphone355

I used to listen to this record when I was going to sleep when I was about 4-5 yrs old.

  • @headphone355 It´s eternal, indeed, overwhelmig spiritual power. I´ve become a Taoist but still love and worship the Hindu gods and goddesses,I´m an eclectic pagan and proud of it !

  • @headphone355 If you are still looking for that CD mail to: wimvriezen@yahoo.com

  • @headphone355 just came across your post i do havea copy of this album.I dont remember where I got it,but it has a 1.99 sticker on it..I always loved this too.Allison Steele from WNEW-FM in N.Y. always played it.I also like the Hare Krishna chant on the lp.When I do play it,I usually pair it with the Be-In song from 'Hair"....

  • @headphone355 I do, but I don't have my turn-table hooked up anymore. The album is called "The Radha Krsna Temple". The words are inside in English and Hindu.

  • Govida Jaya Jaya!
