there's a girl (samara) who was adopted by anna morgan (the lady in black) and she started to create visions and making her life miserable so she threw samara to a well. but she lasted 7 days in the well and so she "created" this tape so that everyone who watches it gets 7 days of life unless that person shows the tape to somebody else. and then this reporter, keller (the blondie) watches it and finds out the whole story....

@Konphetty the reporters son watched it aswell thats how she went on a mission to destory the tape ,,,and get someone to either watch it or copy it ..it is one of these movies you have to really listen to ,rather than action and imagery ..it was origanaly an asian movie and id seen that ist ,another good one is called "the eye" they remade that from an old asian movie and its quite like this a good twist at the end
