Sometimes he toured with Mark IVs, sometimes ii c+s' he used Road kings other times. I think he's using the Mark V now. Did he ever use Rectifires. ( or anything other then mesa) I saw that dopey majesty vid, looks like he's playing through a Randall stack. He probably got it from his school.

I think he used a Randall before and around the 1st DT album. At least, to me, it sounds like a Randall RG100ES. He could also be seen using the Randall 4x12s for some early (1989) DT footage with a Mesa head.

And the Road Kings actually are Dual Rectifiers, just a "spin-off" version like the Blue Angel. And I think on Awake, he used the rackmounted (discontinued) Dual Rectifiers.

@mrboverbro Professional Music Stores normally have dealers where they can customized a case for whatever you need if you are a touring band or just someone that just want a nice protective case for all your musical gear. I can get basically anything I need from my music shop and if they dont carry it, they usually can contact someone who does. They can basically get anything for you when it comes to music and gear for any venue, concerts, rehearsals, parties, even smoke machines and lights.

Had his IIC+ as pre amp and used the Road Kings as the power amp (for distortion, Lone Star for cleans). I thought it was his best live sound, and I've been watching him since TOT tour including G3/Liquid Tension Reunion.

I played my first EBMM John Petrucci 6 in Graphite. Not a BFR, but doesn't matter. It BLEW ME AWAY.

That guitar is better than my '58 Gibson Les Paul by far (and much cheaper as well). One of the best guitars I've ever played.

Too many INDORECT midi things can go wrong touring. The same available with preamp and two power amps: Triaxis-Abacus-dual 2:90 pr offering 8-tones: 2-clean, 2-OD, 2- Crunch, and 2-Lead. More ergonomic and less stuff to lug around and have to re-setup every single day on the road. Dual shock 6 space racks at most. + guitar tech + amp tech constantly retubing and rebiasing of all those heads + tech for all the midi interfaces. Too much overhead. Each to his own. Regardless, you rock JP ~skygod~

+1. The IIC's are awesome, but the IIC+'s just flat out kick ass. If you ever have a chance to play one, I'm sure you'll love it. They sound amazing. By the way, last I heard, the IIC+ upgrade price got jacked up to $400 now.

I have a IIC+ on the way right now believe it or not. I just bought it this week from a Guitar Center. It was used but looks like it sat under someone's bed for 20 years. Its in perfect condition. I also have a Mark IV, which I demo in my videos. I've also played my friend's Mark IIC++ before.

It was a Mark IIC+, but after that I think he switched a couple of times between the Mark IV and the Road King, but I think he uses an even larger variety of Mesas. It all comes down to your tastes I think, so jus try them all out if you can.

On the TOT tour, it was Roadkings and Lonestars, Chaos in Motion tour was the Mark IV/Lonestar rig, Octavarium tour was the Roadkings for the first half, the second half of the tour was a custom IIC+ preamp through a rectifier poweramp (same rig that he used on Score). Six Degrees was the IIC+ rig. Hope that helps.
