Moi aussi, quand j'étais mòme, j'étais fasciné par ce personnage. On en a fait un "héros nationnal" parc'qu'il a fait vibrer la France et autres pays francophones pendant je ne sais combien de temps. On l'a mème surnommé "Le robin des bois français". Cela étant, je vous rappelle que cet homme a tué de sang froid des personnes honnètes et innocentes. Pour moi, c'est loin d'étre un exemple à suivre!

Although, comparing this footage of him having just been shot, it's safe to say that there was waaaay more blood in the film.

Here there's hardly any, but the film looks like there's just been a ketchup food fight!

There are also significantly fewer bullet holes.

Man, there's a shitload of blood, you just dont see it because the pictures are not black and white...I think that for the new movies they made a great effort to keep it as close as possible to the real facts, and after doing my research and compairing the movie to real footage, I can say that I really think they succeded..

How can you think there's hardly any blood when the man's been hit by 18 bullets? ^^

Yes, you're right.

After posting my earlier comment, I started thinking about what I'd said.

18 bullets should be enough to rip a man apart, so blood is to be expected.

And, like you said, this clip is in color, so the red of the blood wouldn't necessarily stand out and be clear to see.

But I've since seen b&w photographs where you clearly see him dripping with the stuff.

Not that I'm a weirdo or anything.

I just thought it was curious before.

I'd rather focus on Mesrine's "career"...
