For goodness sake, in many neighborhoods in England, like in lost of other places all over Europe, non-Muslim women (as well as Muslim ones) have to wear veils, whether they like to or not, so that they won't be raped or killed.
So much for freedom to wear or not to wear it.
Also, I remember how even 10 years ago the same Islam-pushers claimed that the veil is not in the Koran, just an Arab custom, and being Muslim doesn't mean wearing the veil. And now...
The burqa was and is used in arabic countries where women are all the time threatened to be raped. In a backward society like the arabic,in general poor and intelectualy still in the Middle Ages, women walk under the anxious eyes of arabic bestial men who rape them with the eyes.
That´s why they use Burqas. But in the civilizted world, where women have the same rights as men (or more) the use of Burqas must be forbidden. I´s use is an insult to us. We don´t rape any woman in the streets.
The burqa is humiliating.!!!...women are in a perpetual prison..!!...suffering and feeling in their persons the fanatism, cruelty and disdain of musslim men against their own wives..the mother of their own children.!!!
Of course there are musslim women who say they enjoy wearing burqas......these women say that for one o several of these reasons:
1) they are fat and ugly.
2) they feel threatened by their musslim family or comunity.
3) they enjoy degrading their own personality.(masoquism)
BBC are such cunts towards anything but leftist propaganda, I seriously don't get why. They ONLY ever ask hard questions and argue with someone on BS points if they're against the leftist dogma plaguing the EU. Everyone elses arse they kiss - getting fucking sick of it. Lucky Farage is a brilliant orator and isn't phased by what BBC "journalists" consider moot points (when they're really not supposed to be expressing their OWN opinions).
The precepts that are contained in the Qur'an do not include the obligation of female Muslims to wear the burqa; the argument that the niqab must be tolerated on religious grounds is invalid.
@Theaverable - Multiculturism has not failed - the Chinese, the Italians, the Irish, South Koreans, Singaporeans etc. have lived happily and brought their giftedness to England for yonks - it is Islamic culture that is the problem. Let's call it like it is. It's unfair to other nationalities to throw them all in the mix. - Rene
You come to a free society and escape the oppression to start imposing this oppression in the UK, weird and evil. GO BACK TO YOU WHERE YOU CAME FROM and if you were born in the UK then TAKE OFF THE BURQA. You have an ugly religion from all aspects.
The burqa is a symbol of oppression and intoleranca. Patriotic Britons who wish to live in a united society will therefore be in favour of an end to the wearing of this garment.
So, a chick wearing a veil shoplifts, the cameras pick her up, how can they identify her? Or, she goes to the ATM with a stolen credit card, somehow has the pin, how can you identify her?
I see both sides on this. Ok, I don't like the idea of banning clothing, but you can't compare the veil to punks, goths etc. Those don't cover the features, or hide identity, or create a situation where you cannot visually 'meet' that person. The veil does send out a very strong message, and that message is, "We don't want to get to know you, we don't want you to get to know us." When the veil is then an ethnic garment, it grows to represent the views of that minority.
First time I find a subject where I disagree with Nigel Farage. I kind of feel relieved, otherwise it would be very strange. I am completely opposed to Sharia Law being implemented, but it is not for the State to dictate to people what to wear. As long as they are removed under "security circumstances" there is no problem. You cannot use government force to evoke a change, it can only come through voluntary action. Sorry Nigel.
Farage kind of fails to make the most important point: the burqa limits women from becoming part of society and will therefore create more division. Women in burqas will always live as individualists, refrain from talking to strangers in public and hence, there is no integration possible. The more they separate themselves from society, the bigger the gaps will become.
When western people go to mumbojumbostan HAVE to go according to the laws of mumbojumbostan and women will be stoned if they dont wear the vale-burga-ski mask but when mumbojumbostan comes here we have to change according to THEIR laws ! 400 years my people had suffered under the ottoman turks ruling and now it is comming back ? You think we will put red carpet to the streets and say welcome ?
0:39, "It gives me my identity" Oh my fucking God, "Identity", we can't even see your identity you dumb cunt! This rag belongs in the desert not in the UK you scrawny paki fuck. GO HOME!
@2BarKawi That's your problem! Everything should be for show, should it? What you're saying is that a person can't have a sense of identity if people can't recognize that identity? What happened to pleasing yourself and not others? This woman, like many other women, CHOOSE to wear it. Get over it! It's her face-not yours.
@Somalidameindahouse My point is you dumb fuck is that people can't see her identity! Which is necessary, this rag belongs in the desert. It seems women don't feel comfortable in our society if they don't wear it, like they don't fit in so they wear it not to be noticed. It's pathetic. Can I kiss in public in Dubai or have my women wear a bikini?! NO can I fuck! It's our bodies so why not!? The UK is not Islamic, so get to grips with our culture or fuck off. Simple. Religion is for fools.
It is not enough to just ban the burka. there is nothing British, European or American about it. And there is nothing Western either about Muslim men wearing long white gowns, can I wear a white gown and pointed hat and slits for my eyes (KKK) and walk Hollywood ??? And there is nothing Western about Jews who wear big hats and have beards unshaven and you know what, it is all anti-our values. In their religion they do disgusting things, time for a BIG BAN!
Ok so what if they were not covering their faces. How can you tell this Woman is not a Tranvestine, Robber, and Criminal? Isn't that discrimination and totally rubbish?
Wearing Burka is not an issue at all. The main issue is the West Why?
Because they know very well Islam is spreading fast and there trying to create traps and barriers to stop it from spreading
The fact is Islam is spreading because it is a peaceful religion and it will grow even faster. Allah hu Akbar
@kay2furious yes this is the West! In the West the culture has a long tradition of being able 2 C the persons face(identity) when we speak or approach them- this is WEST- not some Islamic state! In Islamic countries western women rnt 3 2 wear what they want- the country dictates what they wear. U have only been allowed 2wear this symbol bcos the West has lost its soul & allowed unwise practises 4the sake of political correctness- but this is West- & in public we like 2 see who we deal with?
@TheMadPPSh If the issue is about freedom- then western women going to Islamic countries should have freedom to wear what they want as a matter of expression! But of course since I know so many muslims & shia ones too- they would never be Hypocritical wanting something from the West- which they wouldn't give to the West in their own countries??
Remember the freedom of expression is not an Islamic thing but a Western One- I think we should remember this?? What do u think??
@christ4all2allmyall Yes, women that go to Islamic countries should be able to wear whatever they want. I think that all countries should allow people to wear what they want. I believe that women in Islamic countries should be allowed to have uncovered hair and wear revealing clothing to the degree that is seen in the West. I do not believe it is morally right to dress like that, but the issue is freedom of expression and dress is part of that.
really what if this women was your wife, sister or mother?? Would u allow them this freedom? Ok u would allow them this freedom of expression- but would u allow any women in your house to wear men's clothes or wear a cross from her neck?? What u find offensive u would seek 2 ban it?
The freedom of expression of the burkha goes against the culture & many ways is a moral issue- 4many in west see it as a symbol of oppression & places an Islamic moral code on West- not all men ravin perverts??
@christ4all2allmyall No matter her relation to me, she should wear whatever she wants - full stop. I do not see why you need to see someone's face - you've not seen mine. Many people buy things online without seeing someone's face. What good does it do to see someone's face? Men should cover themselves, and the burqa is not obligatory in Islam at all. Something cannot have oppressive undertones if it is done of their own free will. If it is not of free will, it is wrong to be forced to wear it.
@TheMadPPSh pls don't try 2 be smart or too wise 4 me the context is in face-to-face conversation- we don't like when someone talks to us in hood with face down so we can see who we are talking to. Now there are many reasons why we need to see someone's face.
1. They might be all polite in Islam but in West not so- we need 2 identify who insults us.
2. Security risk
3. Someone talking especially a foreigner is barely understandably with mouth muzzled
@christ4all2allmyall 1.) You cannot ban something because it is not polite. It would be polite to recognize cultural and religious differences between individuals, though.
2.) It's worked fine thus far. It is not a big risk.
3.) This does not apply because it does not restrict the movement of the mouth and lips enough to interfere with speech. Also, it is a stereotype to think that all who wear burqas are foreign.
1. U need to read again what I said on this point!
2. Depends what u mean fine? It's reported a male terrorist was able to escape UK by dressing in burkha- & its only bcos lax liberal laws in UK-that allows this mainlysymbol of oppression.
3. Again u need 2 read what I said here- pls READ???
4. Polite 2 the culture is certainly a good reason not to wear burkha- in West women are more than a PERSON behind a FULL BODY MASK!!
@christ4all2allmyall 1.) You said that the burqa conflicts with Western politeness. I said that part of the Western concept of freedom is respect for differences in opinion. You can identify them by their name, and if need be, their fingerprint.
2.) Fingerprinting takes care of that.
3.) No, you said that it is hard to understand a muzzled foreigner. I said that the burqa is not a muzzle and that thinking all who wear burqas are foreign is a stereotype.
1. How would u know their name if the person who insulted u & u relgion be identified by name or finger print- the best could be voice but can that be given as evidence- wouldn't lawyer use the muffling of mouth covering as excuse?
2. Finger print don't stop a burkha bod having explosives or terrorist hiding in UK- r we too search all burkha babes 2 catch terrorist?
3. No- I said its hard 2 understand a muzzled person ESPECIALLY a foreigner
@christ4all2allmyall 1.) Why would you need to know their name? Their religion is their business and they don't have to tell anyone what that is.
2.) You know what does stop people having explosives? Proper control of dangerous components needed. There are no burqa terrorists in the UK.
3.) You implied it. You know you did.
4.) That is not part of the idea that the West has adopted called freedom. In America, it is unconstitutional to ban something deemed offensive to the West for that reason.
@christ4all2allmyall 1.) If you can see their face and they don't give you their name you can't really find out who they are. Also, interesting how you think a woman in a burqa would be the one that is racially insulting.
2.) They should be able to be identified when leaving and entering the country and in 'secure areas' by a female officer or member of security, a practicing Muslim if need be.
3.) Mouth covered by burqa is not a hindrance to understanding.
1. No it may 2 u cos u don't READ- my 1st objection was we want 2 see the faces of those who insult us- which includes whosoever in Burkhas.
2. Security risk- don't just mean @our borders- but gives opportunity 4 terrorists 2 hide within country till they ready 2 strike!- this is 1 of many?? Yes as long as the burkha wearer pays 4 this & not tax payer?
3. So u claim but most women wearing Burkha have poor English from start in West
@christ4all2allmyall 1.) You can't always see people when they insult you. I've never seen your face and I have no desire to.
2.) Burqa wearers pay taxes one way or another. Why infringe on their rights because you're insecure? Terrorists could hide in many ways, so we should stop people if they do things that terrorists may hide behind?
3.) What? I said that the "mouth covered by burqa is not a hindrance to understanding." What do you mean 'from start?'
@TheMadPPSh Oh is that why I promised to anwer questions & failed not to; or state someone's an idiot & not demonstrate how they are or accept it of myself if I act like the idiot I am rightly judging?? Or am like the burkha lady who showed shia Taqiyya @ its best on News programme & also endorsed my points about certain people's covering mouth when speaking??- She's barely comprehensible. And thank u Mr Shia being called a hypocrite by u is greatest privilege!!
@christ4all2allmyall You're thinking far, far too highly of yourself if you think I feel in danger because of you. You didn't reply to my enumerated responses.
@TheMadPPSh I did but I didn't respond to ur last ones bcos I will say we will have to agree to disagree- or do u want us 2 go on 4 ever?? I have a life u know- u muslims maybe married 2 u computer but we aren't-hehehe or hahaah!!! lol.
@TheMadPPSh No to persue the matter is futile 4 I sense the statement: Let's agree to disagree is appropriate? For if I were to continue I would have to go deeper & question whether what u said u actually REALLY BELIEVED. This would relate to an integrity matter & would correspond with Shia's Taqiyya & whether u r being dishonest. U have stated ur opinions on the matter & I have also: u appear to be always wanting to win, win, win? My points r there 4 all let others be judged of that, too?
@TheMadPPSh thank u as I said it is great to be spoken of by a muslim cos u guys lie so bad u make matilida appear honest. U a shia muslim - should really start praising me then others will know what u trying to get at! Hahaha!
@TheMad wrong again-I didn't pursue the 4points bcos I felt it was pointless- since u were stating matters which u were claiming u believed in- WHICH I BELIEVE IS STRANGELY AT ODDS WITH MUCH OF ISLAM- If u held the 4 pts as your views what more can I say?? If I wanted to discredit you I would or could have asked you are you practising Taqiyya in this situation? And in truth u don't believe in Freedom of Expression- u just saying this in USA but if ever u r in Islamic circles ud say different.
@christ4all2allmyall Proof please? You just want me to be evil because it fits with your view of Islam. Taqiyya can only be done when one is about to die, as I have told you. But you want it to mean that I can lie indiscriminately; that's your trump card. I do believe in the freedom of expression, but you obviously don't because you say I use taqiyya left and right because you refuse to accept that I believe what I believe. To each his own, I suppose.
@TheMad calm down!! What else am I to think or to say? Was I not stating to u each to his own, in this case? But u were seeking to pursue it further, wasn't u?
Many times we quote hadith & quran regards lying, etc yet it is generally related to me by muslims that it is Shia- muslims who practise this doctrine & have a reputation of not being trusted.
I haven't judged u on this but your past actions & 1s u have done with me!! U haven't been entirely honest with me-should I lie & say u have?
@christ4all2allmyall How have I been dishonest? Also, if you had actually not intended to discredit me you would not have even said "If I wanted to discredit you I would or could have asked you are you practising Taqiyya in this situation?" because you saying that shows your intent to discredit me and also makes the appearance that you do not want to know the answer. It is a cheap trick you learn from English class, I'm not falling for it. Or you could use tact, if its unintentional.
So why rnt men as spiritual strong as women- since they have ability 2resist the body of some man- but the muslim men & apparently non-muslim men r ALL LECHERS desperate 2lust after u wives, daughers, etc. The connotations of the burkha is extremely unacceptable- we should in the West- impose it on any man who's wife is wearing the burkha- this is what I believe should happen- just for them 2 taste the feeling of wearing the full body mask- if ALLAH wanted u covered u face would be full of hair!
@christ4all2allmyall So by your logic if God wants us to wear clothes we would be born with them, if He wants us to speak we should from birth, if He wanted us to fly He would make us born with wings. You're reading too much into the burqa. Just because it has unacceptable connotations, which I dispute, does not mean it should be banned. There are many things that I do not agree with that I think people should be allowed to do out of freedom, whether I agree has no impact on whether they should.
-the quip about the facial hair was a joke but your pts except for the wings & flight are false 4- If u had indeed the torah u claim u allah sent down u would know God indeed created us pure & we were without clothes but man has sinned hence the covering- further God is one who created ability to speak - yet ur quip about wings is good- WHAT ARE U BECOMING WISE?? IS THERE A BRAIN IN YOUR HEAD AFTER ALL?? THIS CALLS FOR SOME WINE....OH SORRY U DON'T DRINK U JUS GONNA HAVE 2 WAIT FOR HEAVEN??
@christ4all2allmyall I do not think Syria should have banned the burqa as they have in universities. Just because it is done in Islamic countries does not mean it is okay. Just because it is done in Islamic countries does not mean I agree with it.
the full covering of women & segregation of men & women has had an adverse effect in many Islamic societies especially amongst the young- namely homosexuality & lesbianism. Men & women find outlets 4 their desires with those closest 2 them & often its same sex relationhips- the only thing is outwardly Islam keeps this under wraps but inwardly the figures a higher than they care to say!!
Nevertheless we want 2 see who we r talking to or who comes into our shops or sits next to us on bus!!
@christ4all2allmyall In most Islamic countries the burqa is worn by a small minority. Your allegation of secret widespread Islamic homosexuality is unfounded and is just as provable as my statements on Biblical corruption, from your point of view. If you oppose the burqa not being banned, perhaps you could organize you and your friends into groups and wear balaclavas around police stations to show the dangers of covering your face in public. Nonviolent resistance to show how important this is.
listen if a women wants 2express her faith in her dress that's fine- as long as that expression has not oppressive under tones. Why don't the hunks of Islam cover up- letting all those muslimahs get frisky & so sin??? I thought women were the weaker sex in Islam? Anyways a hijab just like a scarf or hood is ok as long as we see the face but the burkha, or balaclava or face mask isn't ok 4 general public use- due to an identity issue- culural value u see my face when i talk 2u so I should c u too
People think Burka is a separation of society of some sort but when we look at other areas of separation, there is No Headlines e.g. Gays, Lesbians, BNP?
We seem to think it's normal to behave that way even though a small fraction of people practice this. Are we soon saying to Muslim Woman to walk in the streets with their boobs almost falling down?
Politicians talk about being liberal, equality, integration & Freedom
It is not obligatory to wear the Veil. There is no evidence in Quran or Hadith which states Muslim Woman should wear therefore it is a choice of the Muslim Woman
Burka is not prison, it is not a tent, and no it is not a Sharia Law to cover your face
Woman have the right to wear what they want and when they want. If we honestly believe this should be banned for Security reasons in Banks No problem. You could enforce laws where your face must be seen in Banks & ALL Muslim Woman will agree
The burqa should be banned in public places, and private organisations should be given the choice as to whether to ban it or not. However, they would have to apply the same rules to everyone ie they could not allow Muslims to wear the burqa while requiring a tenage boy to remove his hoodie.
Thats sucha lie when that women at the start says if asked to remove our burka we are always happy to oblige. what a load of shit, a muslim women in a burka was asked to take her burka off so they could take a photo of her for her ID security pass for college and she refused and said it was her religion !! so they said we can't accept you into the college unless u have a id pass, and you cant have a id pass with your burka still on, and she sold her story to the sun as if she was the victim
The Burqa is a full length robe that has no opening for the face at all, just a lacy see through part. This guy is not trying to ban burqas at all. He's trying to ban any form of Muslim face covering. Why call it the Burqa Ban? Is it because that's easier to sell than "Muslim Veil Ban"?
This garment represents the backward aspects of Islamic theology - a womans testimony is less than a mans, Dhimmi's (unbeliever) testimony is less than a muslims testimony, death for apostasy (all schools of Islamic thought), stoning for adultery. All of these backward teachings are alien to and have no place in Britain
Salma Yaqoob is a sneaky, sly individual, she's working towards letting Muslims have their own Law-and indeed playing into the hands of the very People she suffered horrible abuse from.
I agree with UKIP on removal from the EU BUT i think it's up to women what they wear and it's patronising for men to force them to cover up or to uncover their face, it's an encroachment on liberty.
just wanted to make a statement, Facial recognition softwear would be pointless and we have to take face value all women wearing the vale are sinless and will not comittit any crime.
I'm sorry if i get told to take a hat off or remove my hood on entering a shop bank or any other secure area, DAMN RIGHT THE ISLAMIC WOMEN SHOULD TOO!
That presenter, Jon Sopel, is always like this - he gets aggressive against anyone who argues against muslims while giving muslim guests themselves an easy ride. Notice the only time he quizzes Salma Yaqoob (who wears that ridiculous scarf even though it's not windy in the studio) he's really easy on her, yet he interrogates Nigel Farage really aggressively, almost jumping out of his seat.
Sopel is a prime example of what is wrong with the BBC.
I don't see the problem with it. We voted for mass immigration for at least 50 years. This is part of it, so please Lib/Lab/Con voters (at any stage in the last 50 years) don't humiliate yourself and be a hypocrite.
The burqa is a symbol of our increasingly divided society. Nowhere in the Qur'an does it mention the burqa, so the argument that we should allow it for religious purposes is invalid.
The burqa is oppressive towards women and links to Sharia law, which is gender aparteid. It's incompatible with our secular liberal democracy and our Judaeo-Christian heritage. Simple as.
NIGE! Loved your interventions with the trolls at the EU! Nothing like a libertarian Brit to show them what good values, democracy and speaking one's mind are all about!
However, I have been following the debate over the veil in France where it's really become a pseudo-debate which is led by Neocon mouthpieces (e.g., Caroline Fourest) and is designed to polarize French society. In a nutshell, pressing this issue may make you look anti-Muslim ... Go easy on that one!
UKIP is not anti-Muslim but we have serious concerns about the Islamification of Britain. We have no problems with Muslims practicing their faith in Britain, but we do insist that they do so peacefully and without attempting to force their culture onto us. Is that fair or is it fair?
More than fair Sir! I understand that and fully agree. My post was about avoiding a pseudo debate which goes nowhere as in France and only serves to polarize groups along the premise of a clash of civilizations.
yuck i hate that moderator who keeps interrupting Nigel! if I was Nigel I would have said to him: "would you please stop interrupting me? if you ask me a question, wait until i finish answering it, then move to the other one"
There is much talk that Britian's history is one of freedom of expression.Ridiculous! Our forces have died, yes for Democracy, Liberty, however they have also died for our Border, history, identity, culture and tradition-when has ABSOLUTE FREEDOM of expression been part of our identity? It is socialist propaganda that is purporting such nonsense. The majority feel the Burqa as antagonistic and intimidating thus it should be banned democratically. An individual does not always get what he wants.
Im all for personal freedom but the veil is repressive why should women be made to feel that their faces or even their hair is something that shouldnt be seen ? Its ridiculous I agree too that its divisive..One thing we can freely give one another is a smile why would any God be against that !
The vast majority of Muslims women who wear the burka do so out of fear for their lives. Therefore, a ban on the burka would be a move towards freedom and democracy, not fascism.
@MrUKIndependence Have you interviewed them? As a person who has interviewed women wearing the niqab, I can say that 90% of women wearing the Nuqab in Britain are NOT forced to.
1 Corinthians Chapter 11 Verse 6:
Indeed, if a woman does go out without a veil, she should have her hair cut off or shaved off, then she should wear a veil.
Tomorrow 200,000 people could walk around towns and cities wearing a balaclava. That is a free choice, however I'd guarantee it would scare many people and cause a lot of unrest in the communities. This is referring to the security and safety issues regarding covering of the face.
If someone is wearing a vale, the last thing I personally want to do is approach them to ask them to remove it. It's a barrier, both physically and mentally. Can't people see this as a basic, fundamental issue?
sonofa bitch is talking even more shit. it isnt only croydon where women have seperate swimming sessions. leeds met did same thing at carnegie centre on becket park when i was there, and it wasn't the isoc that's for sure! it was all white birds with chubby thighs swimming away their morning fry ups
by the grace of Allah, muslims shall never become assimilated and abandon the orders of the almighty. ALLAHU AKBAR. we shall continue to thrive and prosper, and benefit the country whilst being attacked. racists and bigots can try to persecute us, but we shall never surrender or yeidl on our beliefs and principles, which are just, moral and good for mankind
colonialists didn't think descendents of immigrants would follow islam more rigidly that their predecessors when they exploited them as labour slaves, and that is their own problem!they should have considered such factors before such exploitation, and also before centuries of colonial brutality.now we've come back for a refund so fuck you!how can this be seen as oppresive/divisive but jews or nuns covering hair is not?are you gonna ban schlinders list outfits and hairlocks?dont attack islam alone
I agree with the fact that banning it would be detrimental to personal liberty & that those who wear the burka may not be many, & are minorities. But I think that the divisive role that the burka plays in gender relations among muslims should be a concern of the government. Especially since many muslims are indeed citizens of the UK, their wellbeing and equality among one another ought to be subjected to UK's liberal views of gender, not Islam's; taking a multicult. stance here would be harmful.
@martinkun167 it is not the business of the goverment to tell people how to follow their religion. if you don't like it then get over it, just like i dont like AIDS spreading homos but them cunts are verywhere, and diseasing and polluting society like teen mums. i bet them burka wearing birds are educated, emplyed taxpayers so why should they have less rights? i dont see how a burka affects your life, unless of copurse you're a big nosed paranoid bigot like straw and co
I dont think you understood me, slanker. Re-read my comment more carefully, then comment appropriately, please.
I love it how you call me a bigot and yet show how contemptuous and stereotypical you are toward homosexuals. Way to show your hypocrisy.
Also, wearing the burka is not a religious matter, so your argument about forbidding the government from telling ppl how to follow their religion doesnt stand.
1 a country where people are told what to wear and not what to wear? Well thats pottle kettle black (sorry, am I allowed to say that in this political correct society) what about all those christians/catholics who are told to remove their crosses at school and work? 1 sided nonsense!
2 Goths, Punks etc are actually asked to cover up their tatoos and take out their piercings in certain working environments, so dont even go there with that petty argument
in this country we wear what we want .. why should we change now .. i cant get why UKIP would want this .. it can only cause unrest ..give the chance for false flag attacks on any rally by goverment shit stirrers . This is the THORN IN the SIDE of UKIP . This guy is great in Europe but when i see this .. I see a twat ..the girl is right here ..makes me think the whole UKIP is another dirty NWO tactic to get everyone to vote for something extreme cus there is no other way to stay out of EU.
@VooDooU22X i agree. hw is great killing the eu theives but is talking rubbish here and isn;t far off nick griffin. he says nikaab is not in the Wur'aan, but that is not the only source of islamic jurisprudence. it is stated in the sahih hadith [authentic traditions] and ijam as sahaba [consensus of the disciples] and is mandatory in sunni islam which constitutes 90% of muslims. even many shi'ites also say it is mandatory, but not by law in terms of enforcement
i'm disappointed in the IP for this idea, it goes against everything a true libertarian is supposed to stand for. darn it don't they teach anything in schools today. individual liberty is a God given right, it's not for any government to get involved in how i dress or anything else for that matter. as long as my actions are not hurting anyone, who the hell are you to make laws against them. shame on you Farage, i thought your Alex Jones interview was cool, but this is so anti personal liberty
Walking arround in a topgear Stig suit and a Stig helm might look "liberal" only it doesnt work for common society when everybody would start to do it does it?
The main problem in Liberal with this thing called burka is that its only made for women, wich allready makes it un-liberal before we even debate if its good for society.
basically what she is saying is i can do what i like im in britain and sod the rest of you in turkey she would respect the law she simply has no respect for britain
she looks stupid and looks like shes gonna hold up the shop why cant she just integrate in to society like i would if i went to somebody elses country she says shes feels liberated but she upsets the majority of the public i suppose thats more important to her selfish woman
@eightwillwontcannot well said. how can people be bothered by modesty and think it is oppresive, but being half naked peice of meat is ok and not oppresive! the worst thing is when it isn't a fit bird running around half naked, but a munter. there are alot of munters around on the weekends
Has anyone notice that farage have a frog face especially his mouth and his voice sounds like a frog :D
Both woman in the video is very hypocritical, how can she sit there and defend goth, punk, and body piercing as a muslim??? that really piss's me off because they use the lefty liberalism to get there way,and then when they have the power one day in Britain they will force sharia law!
People are completely missing the point about Farages stance as being pro freedom/liberalism. As if banning burka is therefore agaisnt those values.
To protect freedom you have to stop something/someone that is a threat to freedom. AKA Islam
Thats why Farage is well over most peoples heads. Unfortunately this hard line approach can be pigeons holed as racism or anti Islamic, where in fact it is a stance for the protecion of freedom. LONG TERM
After reading your channel, I share some similar opinions to you.
However refererence freedom, yes we are all under a false perception of freedom, but in reality we are controlled to the limits in this country. Islam ? Yes some lovely Mulsims out there, but to be governed by Islam power mad men may be out of the frying pan into the fire..
Yes there are radical Muslims but we have white power nuts who wrap themselves in the union jack saying they are proud to be British, both are just as scary as the other.
We have a fear mongering media, trying to make ordinary people think everyone is out to get them. The probability is they are not going to get blown up by a terrorist, but they want government to take their freedoms to feel safe.
We dont live in a democracy if we did the people would be able to choose between war or peace.

This is SO ridiculous! Every other issue I've seen Farage talking about I more or less agree.. But this is just ridiculous.. I mean liberal is saying that woman cannot wear what they want? And identifying?? What's that all about? Will I have to be in plain face like in a passport photo in future as well so that they could identify me? I saw quite a few people wearing scarfs on their faces because it was cold.. Should that be banned as well because you need to identify people everywhere they go?

Think of how much the crime will go up when every criminal, man or woman, Muslim or not, can hide his face and body under a tent.

And now...
Hypocrites.

The burqa is a symbol of oppression and intoleranca. Patriotic Britons who wish to live in a united society will therefore be in favour of an end to the wearing of this garment.

Rekaert 1 year ago 2
First time I find a subject where I disagree with Nigel Farage. I kind of feel relieved, otherwise it would be very strange. I am completely opposed to Sharia Law being implemented, but it is not for the State to dictate to people what to wear. As long as they are removed under "security circumstances" there is no problem. You cannot use government force to evoke a change, it can only come through voluntary action. Sorry Nigel.

they never show women wich were forced to wear a burka.
grindhouse304 1 year ago
Farage kind of fails to make the most important point: the burqa limits women from becoming part of society and will therefore create more division. Women in burqas will always live as individualists, refrain from talking to strangers in public and hence, there is no integration possible. The more they separate themselves from society, the bigger the gaps will become.

Wearing Burka is not an issue at all. The main issue is the West Why?
Because they know very well Islam is spreading fast and there trying to create traps and barriers to stop it from spreading
The fact is Islam is spreading because it is a peaceful religion and it will grow even faster. Allah hu Akbar

kay2furious 1 year ago
@kay2furious yes this is the West! In the West the culture has a long tradition of being able 2 C the persons face(identity) when we speak or approach them- this is WEST- not some Islamic state! In Islamic countries western women rnt 3 2 wear what they want- the country dictates what they wear. U have only been allowed 2wear this symbol bcos the West has lost its soul & allowed unwise practises 4the sake of political correctness- but this is West- & in public we like 2 see who we deal with?
christ4all2allmyall 1 year ago
@christ4all2allmyall The real issue is about freedom. The freedom of expression is limited by bans.
TheMadPPSh 1 year ago
@TheMadPPSh If the issue is about freedom- then western women going to Islamic countries should have freedom to wear what they want as a matter of expression! But of course since I know so many muslims & shia ones too- they would never be Hypocritical wanting something from the West- which they wouldn't give to the West in their own countries??
Remember the freedom of expression is not an Islamic thing but a Western One- I think we should remember this?? What do u think??
christ4all2allmyall 1 year ago
@christ4all2allmyall Yes, women that go to Islamic countries should be able to wear whatever they want. I think that all countries should allow people to wear what they want. I believe that women in Islamic countries should be allowed to have uncovered hair and wear revealing clothing to the degree that is seen in the West. I do not believe it is morally right to dress like that, but the issue is freedom of expression and dress is part of that.
TheMadPPSh 1 year ago
really what if this women was your wife, sister or mother?? Would u allow them this freedom? Ok u would allow them this freedom of expression- but would u allow any women in your house to wear men's clothes or wear a cross from her neck?? What u find offensive u would seek 2 ban it?
The freedom of expression of the burkha goes against the culture & many ways is a moral issue- 4many in west see it as a symbol of oppression & places an Islamic moral code on West- not all men ravin perverts??
christ4all2allmyall 1 year ago
@christ4all2allmyall No matter her relation to me, she should wear whatever she wants - full stop. I do not see why you need to see someone's face - you've not seen mine. Many people buy things online without seeing someone's face. What good does it do to see someone's face? Men should cover themselves, and the burqa is not obligatory in Islam at all. Something cannot have oppressive undertones if it is done of their own free will. If it is not of free will, it is wrong to be forced to wear it.
TheMadPPSh 1 year ago
@TheMadPPSh pls don't try 2 be smart or too wise 4 me the context is in face-to-face conversation- we don't like when someone talks to us in hood with face down so we can see who we are talking to. Now there are many reasons why we need to see someone's face.
1. They might be all polite in Islam but in West not so- we need 2 identify who insults us.
2. Security risk
3. Someone talking especially a foreigner is barely understandably with mouth muzzled
4. It's only polite in West
christ4all2allmyall 1 year ago
@christ4all2allmyall 1.) You cannot ban something because it is not polite. It would be polite to recognize cultural and religious differences between individuals, though.
2.) It's worked fine thus far. It is not a big risk.
3.) This does not apply because it does not restrict the movement of the mouth and lips enough to interfere with speech. Also, it is a stereotype to think that all who wear burqas are foreign.
4.) See number one.
TheMadPPSh 1 year ago
@TheMadPPSh
4. Polite 2 the culture is certainly a good reason not to wear burkha- in West women are more than a PERSON behind a FULL BODY MASK!!
christ4all2allmyall 1 year ago
@christ4all2allmyall 1.) You said that the burqa conflicts with Western politeness. I said that part of the Western concept of freedom is respect for differences in opinion. You can identify them by their name, and if need be, their fingerprint.
2.) Fingerprinting takes care of that.
3.) No, you said that it is hard to understand a muzzled foreigner. I said that the burqa is not a muzzle and that thinking all who wear burqas are foreign is a stereotype.
4.) What makes them less human?
TheMadPPSh 1 year ago
@TheMadPPSh
4. Respect 4 West is good reason!!
christ4all2allmyall 1 year ago
@christ4all2allmyall 1.) Why would you need to know their name? Their religion is their business and they don't have to tell anyone what that is.
2.) You know what does stop people having explosives? Proper control of dangerous components needed. There are no burqa terrorists in the UK.
3.) You implied it. You know you did.
4.) That is not part of the idea that the West has adopted called freedom. In America, it is unconstitutional to ban something deemed offensive to the West for that reason.
TheMadPPSh 1 year ago
@TheMad Please READ MY COMMENTS
1. u(U) said that I could IDENTIFY the burkha lady by name- but if they are rude & obnoxious & racially insulting why would they give me their name?
2. it still represents a security risk- as MALE terrorist was able to hide from Police dress as burkha babe.
3. There may be some implication yet nevertheless read what I STATED- u negate fact mouth covered when speaking isn't an issue!
4. Don't know what u mean? R u allowed 2 wear a T-shirt sayin Gays r muslims?
christ4all2allmyall 1 year ago
@christ4all2allmyall 1.) If you can see their face and they don't give you their name you can't really find out who they are. Also, interesting how you think a woman in a burqa would be the one that is racially insulting.
2.) They should be able to be identified when leaving and entering the country and in 'secure areas' by a female officer or member of security, a practicing Muslim if need be.
3.) Mouth covered by burqa is not a hindrance to understanding.
4.) I believe so.
TheMadPPSh 1 year ago
@TheMadPPSh
4. In Islamic countries I meant-
christ4all2allmyall 1 year ago
@christ4all2allmyall 1.) You can't always see people when they insult you. I've never seen your face and I have no desire to.
2.) Burqa wearers pay taxes one way or another. Why infringe on their rights because you're insecure? Terrorists could hide in many ways, so we should stop people if they do things that terrorists may hide behind?
3.) What? I said that the "mouth covered by burqa is not a hindrance to understanding." What do you mean 'from start?'
4.) I believe so.

And in truth u don't believe in Freedom of Expression- u just saying this in USA but if ever u r in Islamic circles ud say different.
christ4all2allmyall 1 year ago
@christ4all2allmyall Proof please? You just want me to be evil because it fits with your view of Islam. Taqiyya can only be done when one is about to die, as I have told you. But you want it to mean that I can lie indiscriminately; that's your trump card. I do believe in the freedom of expression, but you obviously don't because you say I use taqiyya left and right because you refuse to accept that I believe what I believe. To each his own, I suppose.
TheMadPPSh 1 year ago
@TheMad calm down!! What else am I to think or to say? Was I not stating to u each to his own, in this case? But u were seeking to pursue it further, wasn't u?

So why rnt men as spiritual strong as women- since they have ability 2resist the body of some man- but the muslim men & apparently non-muslim men r ALL LECHERS desperate 2lust after u wives, daughers, etc. The connotations of the burkha is extremely unacceptable- we should in the West- impose it on any man who's wife is wearing the burkha- this is what I believe should happen- just for them 2 taste the feeling of wearing the full body mask- if ALLAH wanted u covered u face would be full of hair!
christ4all2allmyall 1 year ago
@christ4all2allmyall So by your logic if God wants us to wear clothes we would be born with them, if He wants us to speak we should from birth, if He wanted us to fly He would make us born with wings. You're reading too much into the burqa. Just because it has unacceptable connotations, which I dispute, does not mean it should be banned. There are many things that I do not agree with that I think people should be allowed to do out of freedom, whether I agree has no impact on whether they should.
TheMadPPSh 1 year ago

the full covering of women & segregation of men & women has had an adverse effect in many Islamic societies especially amongst the young- namely homosexuality & lesbianism. Men & women find outlets 4 their desires with those closest 2 them & often its same sex relationhips- the only thing is outwardly Islam keeps this under wraps but inwardly the figures a higher than they care to say!!
Nevertheless we want 2 see who we r talking to or who comes into our shops or sits next to us on bus!!
christ4all2allmyall 1 year ago
@christ4all2allmyall In most Islamic countries the burqa is worn by a small minority. Your allegation of secret widespread Islamic homosexuality is unfounded and is just as provable as my statements on Biblical corruption, from your point of view. If you oppose the burqa not being banned, perhaps you could organize you and your friends into groups and wear balaclavas around police stations to show the dangers of covering your face in public. Nonviolent resistance to show how important this is.
TheMadPPSh 1 year ago
listen if a women wants 2express her faith in her dress that's fine- as long as that expression has not oppressive under tones.

You could enforce laws where your face must be seen in Banks & ALL Muslim Woman will agree
kay2furious 1 year ago
The burqa should be banned in public places, and private organisations should be given the choice as to whether to ban it or not. However, they would have to apply the same rules to everyone ie they could not allow Muslims to wear the burqa while requiring a tenage boy to remove his hoodie.
MrYoungIndependence 1 year ago

Its ignorance to talk over people, and thats all these interviewers do to the smaller parties like UKIP and BNP.

I agree with UKIP on removal from the EU BUT i think it's up to women what they wear and it's patronising for men to force them to cover up or to uncover their face, it's an encroachment on liberty.

If I see a woman in the street with her whole face covered, I wouldn't speak to her, just as I would not speak to a man in a balaclava.

UKIndependent 2 years ago 7

Go easy on that one!
alecrebel 2 years ago
UKIP is not anti-Muslim but we have serious concerns about the Islamification of Britain. We have no problems with Muslims practicing their faith in Britain, but we do insist that they do so peacefully and without attempting to force their culture onto us. Is that fair or is it fair?
MrUKIndependence 2 years ago 3
More than fair Sir! I understand that and fully agree. My post was about avoiding a pseudo debate which goes nowhere as in France and only serves to polarize groups along the premise of a clash of civilizations.

An individual does not always get what he wants.
waggles1989 2 years ago
Im all for personal freedom but the veil is repressive why should women be made to feel that their faces or even their hair is something that shouldnt be seen ? Its ridiculous I agree too that its divisive..One thing we can freely give one another is a smile why would any God be against that !
mo1912 2 years ago 5
The vast majority of Muslims women who wear the burka do so out of fear for their lives. Therefore, a ban on the burka would be a move towards freedom and democracy, not fascism.

@MrUKIndependence Have you interviewed them? As a person who has interviewed women wearing the niqab, I can say that 90% of women wearing the Nuqab in Britain are NOT forced to.
1 Corinthians Chapter 11 Verse 6:
Indeed, if a woman does go out without a veil, she should have her hair cut off or shaved off, then she should wear a veil.
shoaibhussain 1 year ago
Tomorrow 200,000 people could walk around towns and cities wearing a balaclava. That is a free choice, however I'd guarantee it would scare many people and cause a lot of unrest in the communities. This is referring to the security and safety issues regarding covering of the face.
If someone is wearing a vale, the last thing I personally want to do is approach them to ask them to remove it. It's a barrier, both physically and mentally. Can't people see this as a basic, fundamental issue?

by the grace of Allah, muslims shall never become assimilated and abandon the orders of the almighty. ALLAHU AKBAR. we shall continue to thrive and prosper, and benefit the country whilst being attacked. racists and bigots can try to persecute us, but we shall never surrender or yeidl on our beliefs and principles, which are just, moral and good for mankind
slanker786 2 years ago
colonialists didn't think descendents of immigrants would follow islam more rigidly that their predecessors when they exploited them as labour slaves, and that is their own problem!they should have considered such factors before such exploitation, and also before centuries of colonial brutality.now we've come back for a refund so fuck you!how can this be seen as oppresive/divisive but jews or nuns covering hair is not?are you gonna ban schlinders list outfits and hairlocks?dont attack islam alone
slanker786 2 years ago
I agree with the fact that banning it would be detrimental to personal liberty & that those who wear the burka may not be many, & are minorities. But I think that the divisive role that the burka plays in gender relations among muslims should be a concern of the government. Especially since many muslims are indeed citizens of the UK, their wellbeing and equality among one another ought to be subjected to UK's liberal views of gender, not Islam's; taking a multicult. stance here would be harmful.
martinkun167 2 years ago
@martinkun167 it is not the business of the goverment to tell people how to follow their religion. if you don't like it then get over it, just like i dont like AIDS spreading homos but them cunts are verywhere, and diseasing and polluting society like teen mums. i bet them burka wearing birds are educated, emplyed taxpayers so why should they have less rights? i dont see how a burka affects your life, unless of copurse you're a big nosed paranoid bigot like straw and co
slanker786 2 years ago
I dont think you understood me, slanker. Re-read my comment more carefully, then comment appropriately, please.
I love it how you call me a bigot and yet show how contemptuous and stereotypical you are toward homosexuals. Way to show your hypocrisy.
Also, wearing the burka is not a religious matter, so your argument about forbidding the government from telling ppl how to follow their religion doesnt stand.

2 Goths, Punks etc are actually asked to cover up their tatoos and take out their piercings in certain working environments, so dont even go there with that petty argument

I see a twat ..the girl is right here ..makes me think the whole UKIP is another dirty NWO tactic to get everyone to vote for something extreme cus there is no other way to stay out of EU.
VooDooU22X 2 years ago
@VooDooU22X i agree. hw is great killing the eu theives but is talking rubbish here and isn;t far off nick griffin. he says nikaab is not in the Wur'aan, but that is not the only source of islamic jurisprudence. it is stated in the sahih hadith [authentic traditions] and ijam as sahaba [consensus of the disciples] and is mandatory in sunni islam which constitutes 90% of muslims. even many shi'ites also say it is mandatory, but not by law in terms of enforcement
slanker786 2 years ago
i'm disappointed in the IP for this idea, it goes against everything a true libertarian is supposed to stand for. darn it don't they teach anything in schools today. individual liberty is a God given right, it's not for any government to get involved in how i dress or anything else for that matter. as long as my actions are not hurting anyone, who the hell are you to make laws against them. shame on you Farage, i thought your Alex Jones interview was cool, but this is so anti personal liberty

Walking arround in a topgear Stig suit and a Stig helm might look "liberal" only it doesnt work for common society when everybody would start to do it does it?
The main problem in Liberal with this thing called burka is that its only made for women, wich allready makes it un-liberal before we even debate if its good for society.
Clausewitzz 2 years ago
@Clausewitzz I think you need to look at the meaning of the word 'Liberal' in this context.
It's about the freedom of choice, not every single entity in society being equal in every trivial way you could possibly imagine.
eightwillwontcannot 2 years ago
As a long time member of UKIP I have to agree with you. There is a new movement in this party that is driving UKIP to appease voters.
This is an example of a Law that would win us loads of votes but go against the principals of the party.

LONG TERM
Hard to follow for some....

SmartRsSoul 2 years ago
Yes there are radical Muslims but we have white power nuts who wrap themselves in the union jack saying they are proud to be British, both are just as scary as the other.
We have a fear mongering media, trying to make ordinary people think everyone is out to get them. The probability is they are not going to get blown up by a terrorist, but they want government to take their freedoms to feel safe.
We dont live in a democracy if we did the people would be able to choose between war or peace.

Actually he is not discredited in the slightest.
When one removes to another nation, one accepts all the laws of that nation...one does not pick and choose as if at a buffet.
The reasons for 'removal of disguise' are longstanding in English common law.
Two applications - 1. Against the police being masked in support of Crimes Against the Public Justice.
and 2. Against citizens being masked in public in support of a Conspiracy against Rights.
