I live in the ATL and I saw Janelle play in many of the venues here in the ATL before she secured a deal. We knew back then she was astounding. I'm so grateful she never gave up or gave in. This project is beyond the cosmos. This piece was exquistely written and beautifully performormed, as is the rest is this STELLAR project. I look forward to what she'll create in the future. This was the first song I was able to listen to out of order on the album. Of course, it took about two months before I could shuffle through tracks without listening to the whole thing all the way through over and over again.

Terribly beautfiul, the entire album seems as if one big song since each song somewhat transcends to the next, and the wierd part is that every song gives their own vibe, genre, yet total monae. The robot sent to the past story conveyed in it is amazing. This song is just, aweness.

Janelle Monae, this album & this song are incredible! but somewhere around 2:31 when she chants "you're the one, you're the one..." is so subtly powerful, i lose my breath every time i hear it. But it's the ending that always shifts my heart. Of all the love stories, songs and films, it's the last 20 seconds of 57821 that i find myself most connected to!

Hey to Janelle Monae and all her fans....can you please tell me....amazing music and talent aside....how can you inspire change in the world and then do a commercial for GAP - who use sweatshop labour and exploit children through inhumane working practices....GAP's record speaks for itself and it is not hard to find out the truth about them....Janelle should know better....any explanations happily heard....music and performances are great am certainly not knocking this...thanks

@MrBananas333 GAP had another company under them that they were paying to make shit for GAP. This Indian company used sweatshop labor. The president of GAP found out and fired the Indian company. it's the subcontractors who are making the mistakes. Not GAP. "Gap's own policy is that if it discovers children being used by contractors to make its clothes that contractor must remove the child from the workplace, provide it with access to schooling and a wage"

So IMO, Mr. Nana, Janelle Monae hasn't done anything wrong. All of her intentions are honest. She is a really passionate, good person from what I've read, heard in interviews, or heard in her music. No need to worry about this one.

This song has a very open and esoteric sound to it very soothing to the chakra system. Great vocal chorus arrangements.

This was the first song I was able to listen to out of order on the album. Of course, it took about two months before I could shuffle through tracks without listening to the whole thing all the way through over and over again.

OMG...Why I haven't heard about this talented and beautiful woman. I've seen her albums, but never really paid them any mind. I am buying them all!!! She kinda favors Michelle from Destiny's Child on this album cover.

When I first saw her on the BET awards I was like who is this chick? Then I heard the tightrope remix and was like WOW she is good...next thing you know I started to listen to her music and I LOVE IT,she has a very genuine and rare voice like something in a fairytale! I`m 16 and don't usually listen to music like this.Been playing her all week!

Lovely. Kinda reminds me of Simon and Garfunkel. Medieval bard, troubadour type vibe.

Terribly beautfiul, the entire album seems as if one big song since each song somewhat transcends to the next, and the wierd part is that every song gives their own vibe, genre, yet total monae. The robot sent to the past story conveyed in it is amazing. This song is just, aweness.
