ok mate i was the drummer in SBJ'S for 30 years Ray was 70 on the 26th may 2011 his and my last gig was on the 30th May 2011 at Liverpool . the band continues in 2 forms both of which i am not involved with .but after 30 years in the band i am very sad its ended this way cheers and take care Phill
Though this video was recorded before the 2010 retirement of Ray Ennis ,the idea of The Swinging Blue Jeans continuing on as a tribute band(with no original members) as they do now......... is appalling, even if Ray receives a license fee for the use of the "Swinging Blue Jeans" name.
As for Ray, I wish him all the best. He had been a professional performing musician for 50 years, and he retired one week before his 70th birthday.
I hear Mr Ennis is retiring this year...the SBJ's will be sadly missed but I'm glad Ray is doing this. I would imagine he misses performing with Les after so many years together, Long Live the Swinging Blue Jeans! Thanks for all the videos Phil.
Thanks for posting this and so many other great ones Phill

Still one of the best records of the Sixties- and by one of the best groups.
Keep on rockin' fellas.
