  • The soundtrack to this game is one explosive eargasm.

  • tic tac toe

  • the first one reminds me of that music from Deus Ex, when you start on Liberty Island...

  • I just wiped out 96 million people

  • Nuke Ponyland to this soundtrack

  • The game is fucking genius....its realistic and shows how millions of people can die within seconds.....but it fucks up your mind too : /

  • The lack of different colour tones and the deep depressing music followed by the realization of that this could've happened is what makes this game depressing. But fun

  • It's not about who loses, it's about who loses the least.

  • Just listening to this and thinking about gameplay makes me scared to think about what could have happened in the 60s and 70s...

  • indeed this game is ALOT of fun....however there really is something about how eary and depressing it is.

  • i cant remember how much nukes i put on new york chicago and boston

  • Strange game, the only winning move is not to play.

  • Such a depressing game.....

  • @toomuchcoffee1

I agree... DOOM3 can hide behind this, DefCon REALLY depress the mind...

  • I've been searching for this 3 track soundtrack for the whole night... still llooking for it...

  • DEFCON...Everybody Dies...OMG NUKE INCOMING! :D

  • thanks so much for uploading, i love that game so much.

  • Ridiculously dark-humoured game with some fantastic ambience ! Seriously, the music and sound effects gave me utter chills... Genuinely creepy atmosphere and a nice satire on actual nuclear war.

  • @ZemplinTemplar can you please explain to me what you mean by dark humoured? i actually didn't notice any sort of humor about that game.

  • @ReturnOfJackDawson i think he's referring to the WarGames references, like 'How about a nice game of chess?' Also in the instructions booklet there's what looks like an official government pamphlet, which includes such useful information as 'In the event of nuclear war bombs will detonate every two minutes for the next thirty seconds.' Basically it's as insane as the people who wrote the original civil defense booklets.
