  • I have the one album this is from. Do they have any other CDs? This is good music to fuck to and I want more. If they don't have any other CDs, are there any other bands/songs with the same kind of "feel"?

  • The singer is half Bulgarian so yeah im proud of with that. Also wonderful album and almost cover of our song :)

  • I had a personal encounter with the God a few years ago. My husband was gone in Iraq. I was dreaming a that a threating group of people were outside our home. A strong male presence ordered me to go back inside. It pushed back in the door. I felt no fear after this. As the presence went out to deal with the danger. The next day I discovered some small white flowers outside my front steps were blooming. I saw his picture later on and knew it was the Horned who had kept me safe from harm.

  • @princesso8788

    Wow...very cool!!!!

  • This is beautiful! BB sisters and brothers!

  • lol im coming from death metal and steampunk to this?!?!

  • o_o Wow!

    blessed be!

    I love it!

  • sweet sesational song .

  • any more pagan/wiccan bands like this?

  • @cPoPcOrNb inkubus sukkubus is a good one, however it is difficult to find more good pagan musical artists.

  • love the song...blessed be ..but....that is one hairy chest lol :}

  • Sweet!!!

  • Hey, I'm a Christian, and I love this whole album.

  • @brightbite music is like justice its blind it dosnt matter what religion or background ur from :D

  • @t1oxETy Amen/ So Be it! :)

  • Just ordered my CD! :D

  • This song is so enchanting, and such a great video too.

  • Pagan or not, if you can't like this song then it's time to get some things straight with yourself. You can't judge a SONG by the nature of the people who made it. That being said, I am Eclectic Pagan therefore I am probably even worse on the chain for MOST Christians due to the fact that I use to be one.

  • This reminds me of EARTH CULTURE

  • Perfect title. This song is just so... Him.

Sharyn's voice is magical and ethereal in a way that plugs directly into this little primal center deep within one's self while listening. As far as you can get from Enya while still goosebump-inducing. Try listening to this or An Fhideag Airgead in headphones and you'll know what I mean... After finally getting the chance to purchase the CD I must say I now definitely wish The Moors had stayed more active, such a potent combo of talents...

  • ΕΣ ΠΑΓΑΝ

  • This is an album every pagan should own. It's still available for 18 bucks.

  • @sheavepin After having nothing but a pitifully short sample of The Blessing and Descent of the Goddess Brighid to listen to for over three years I bought the CD for £14 from Amazon UK as a gift to myself! Though I live in Sweden it arrived in time for Imbolc and I LOVE IT. More suitable for trance-work than playing in Winamp while surfing but I get the feeling that's the point ;)

  • I want the download of this songggg!!!!

Anyone know where to find it?

  • @WickedIzz

    iTunes

  • @WickedIzz You can make an mp3 out of any youtube video, just sayin.

  • @PaganBorn79 or you can go their website and support some vastly underpaid artists. they have made very little money from music. that's part of why they haven't kept at it too much.

  • @wonkeaux Which is a damn shame, since their music is a bunch of hymns to me.

  • wondering, how can i do this, make an mp3 at out of songs from youtube?

  • @kaywic gosong.net :]

  • Κοματάρα, τα σπάει!!!!!!

  • Music to travel the universe by -

  • @GrndOrdrOfDracoSlyrs well said!! blessed be :)

  • for anyone who cares, pagan means 'earth dweller'.............

  • An absolute classic ... in so many ways! It amazes me how the song builds musically upon a very short, simple chime-like riff. That riff underpins the entire song. Sharynne, Scott, and Rose you have created a masterpiece -- love it!

  • This was an immediate fav! A very inspiring one!

  • @GrndOrdrOfDracoSlyrs

    ...I agree completely!

  • people have been asking for the lyrics, so I have posted them here in 2 comments, sorry the formatting didn't hold. "When in the wooded place I be" is the first part. it is a bit hard to make them out I can't disagree. Sharynne says "Hi you-tubers!" -James, the Moors' web guy. if you like this song, please buy the CD, see the link in the description. thank you. musicians like these have a hard time making money from their art and they deserve to! support the arts!

  • If it isn't any trouble, can everyone who has a problem with the slight differencial values of two very pure religions quiet down. I can't hear the song. Ta very much. ;)

  • this rocks...as in rocks and rolls...as in rocks the earth....its supposed to be a profound pun...but anyway...back to the song. :)

  • …… Some of the best (ahem! cough) ritualistic music came out of the '90s. I'm just soooo glad that I was there to see much of it live & in full affect. Thank you, Slevnor74, for uploading this magnificent gem, & thank YOU, Var∂lokkur, for the heads-up over it. Happy Feast of Lugh this weekend, y'all! ~ (•8-D

  • There is this haunting etheral beauty to this song with a majestic voice and off kilter balance to it great.

  • I really love this song, as well as the video. Words alone cannot emphasize how awesome it is. <3

  • Nothing about Wicca is pagan. Need to study the history of wiccan or witchcraft before calling yourself either one. An the truth of the fact is the ruitals preformed to day are not even close to what was done then. I am pagan "earth follower", you need to study history and not be like the other main stream religions and follow blindly! The Riturals are about life and death of our mother, to honor the spirits of our past. Not this what is this, this is why pagans have a bad name.

  • @TheRavenoak Seriously, leave the inter-denominational fighting to the Christians and Muslims please. My Wiccan path has worked well for me, rescuing me from a very dark place. Something Christianity could not do, as I found it pretty much baseless. Are you someone who's met a "fluffy wiccan" and determined all are like that? As a solitary, it would be very difficult for me to follow anything blindly.

  • @TheRavenoak Simple question, no disrespect intended: How would you define Pagan ,I'm wiccan and from my understanding Pagan means any Poly-thesiestic religion. I agree with your other point religion isn't something as arbitrary as saying I am Wiccan/christian/muslim/etc. it should be understood.

  • @Mundicantus Pretty much, those of us who don't subscribe to judeo/christian/muslim dogmas are pagans. I to am a wiccan. I myself do not subscribe to any particular wiccan "traditions". I am my own witch.

  • horrible, seems to play

  • Wow....It's so trippy! I love it!!!

  • Love the song

  • I love this song so much. Amazing voice. The slow build of the music is so subtle and intense but it pounds into your soul. Just amazing.

  • I love the power in her voice. A la Loreena McKinnett, only deeper. Perfect for gearing up for spell work....

  • Blessed Be!

    its awfully relaxing

  • Amazing song and video.

  • Blessed Be!

  • Agreed lusty vampire, at last a comment addressing the merit of the song and the musical talents of The Moors -- religio-geopolitical haranguing should be demode by now!

  • Can people just stop moaning and arguing about religion and enjoy the bloody song!

  • @MyVampireLust19 I second that. ;)

  • I love this song. Very deep and meaningful !!

  • Awesome video and song! I love it~ )O(

  • excellent. )O(

  • very moving.

  • valu777 first god says witness with love and thats not very loving second i consider my self christian cuz i beleive jesus died for me and all but i also belive in the earth is one with us because we r made from it and im goth so shut up with all the holyer than tho crap i get it engouh allready

  • valu777 its a shame that u keep comin on here posting ur christian comments on pagan video pages. As if ur actually goin to achieve anything, stop trying to convert pagans, and instead listen to the music and enjoy it for what it is, a very good and enchanting song, otherwise dont bother. Blessed Be

  • I agree- How would you feel if Pagans kept trying to convert all you Christians? We respect your faith

    Blessed Be

  • Bullsh*t. It doesn't exist. Neither does the angry vengefull god. The God and Goddess love and created all equally. (and YES I believe in evolution) Man, woman, gay, straight, black, white, etc. HOW you pray to, or worship deity is of little consequence. Should the "lake" exist, you'll be there with us. Your hatred shines through.

  • there is a passout from the lake ?

  • there are people like you,if you believe in evolution you should understand that there are diffrent evolution at all times and some people are more connected then others.Just becouse you dont feel it or understand it doesnt mean its not real for others

  • I'm sorry, but I cannot understand what you are trying to say. Yes, evolution is constant. Are you saying I don't "feel the spirit" of the music? Because that is far from the case. Hell is not real. The Christian vision of hell is mainly based on Dante's inferno. I do believe some people are more connected than others. In my religion they're commonly called "travelling companions".

  • @sheavepin :oh you were answering someone srry

  • I love this song...Cernunnos is so sacred to me. something about his presence....is amazing...this song definitely captures his sacredness...for me at least

    blessed be )O(

  • Great.

  • I heard this a long time ago and it took me until today to find it again. Mesmerizing. Thank you.

  • fucking epic

  • Love this. Heathens for the win! <3

  • this is wicked. i am a proud pagan

  • xD xD xD

  • Did you know that in the very oldest copies of the old testament of the Bible, the word was not "God" but "Gods"? Judaism was originally polytheistic, and believed that their God was greater than the other Gods. It was only later that they became monotheistic. I find it fascinating ^^

  • Christians are the biggest joke in the religious world. First, their founder , Christ, was the epitome of our greatest tenant: Perfect love. Second, their practice has stolen our tried to destroy all our traditions. Third, what a bunch of sick perverts! Sex with children?! WTF!!!

  • Both of you are stereotyping. There are those who act in an evil manner, from every "religion" and philosophy of life. Religion is different for everyone because we are all on different paths to the same destination. Judge not. Each path works for different people, and there has always been people who abuse their path.

  • "Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill:

    An' it harm none,

    Do what ye will.

    Blessed Be to thee."

What I mean to say: we are all one in our purpose to share our love and respect, regardless of our religious views. May we both find wisdom in this.

  • feel free to contact me about the lyrics I've got them all, bought the CD back in 2000 something.

  • nice thick riff

  • Awesome

  • I've heard of Celtic Moors before but it was a different cd. I just typed in Celtic Moors.

  • i find it interesting that mostly everyone including me stumbled onto this video by chance.

  • You as well? lol

  • I'm also looking for lyrics. Anyone know where I can find them?

  • Lovely song. I just happened to stumble upon this band in the back of Gothic Beauty Magazine, and I live it.

  • OK - love this song, the video is cool, but I just spend half an hour looking for lyrics, and couldn't find any. Help anyone?

  • When in the wooded place I be then in the sacred grove is he the god of hunters, king of creatures all his horned head I see I sit beside him on the ground as those in Gaul of bird and hound his name is written but once, my Cernunnos and still I know the sound he rules life and death and guards the Otherworld from where all forces flow and all events doth know I know he will come I've done the dances stay beside me now lord of the antlers, come...
  • Oh, when the sun and moon

they rise up on yonder hill

he will rise inside me and

so shall ever be, ever be.

  • Great :) :)

  • this sounds really good. i just stumbled upon it by chance in a way! i looked up abit about the band then and its hard to believe there is only two members! i bet this band dont play live, well not with this sound anyway! great stuff, haunting almost!

  • @ikeano29 they did play live at first with 4 people in total, by the time the CD came out they were gigging as a duo, with lots of live loops on stage.

  • tripping music...

  • The full version is the best

  • YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! I was just listening to this CD yesterday and to find a video of this song totally makes my day! Thank you!! Blessed Be!

  • What a brilliant visualization of the song! I've loved this song for several years and never dreamed that a film had been made from it.

The final shot of Sharynne with the Marks of the Horned One upon her is very powerful and true to the spiritual vision of the words.

    Blessings, Shimmer

  • Hi. Thanks very much for your feedback. I'm very glad you liked the music video. As I remember, it was a lot of work getting it completed, especially when I shot the scenes in the middle of October 1998 when it was freezing out in the woods.

Actually, the girl you see running around in the forest throughout the video is not Sharynne. She is a very lovely and beautiful local actress at the time named Rose Carlson.

  • Right up there with Loreena and Stevie Nicks. Wish more would be done. Love it. Gets to my soul.

  • Awesome song! Love to hear them in person.

  • cool

  • Where did he go?

    Was he just flirting?
