  • This doesn't show anything about how to build one. Just shows how to throw money away at them in the store. Disliked good sir.

  • It says how to build not showing the style

  • Budgies don't have to nest. But without a nest they wont mate.

  • Why the feathers are off of the budgerigar ? He may not fly ?

  • @TheSlin2011 the wings are clipped to prevent the parakeet from flying long distances. The keet can still fly but not as far.

    budgie owner since 1993

  • fat man very nice like it

  • i want a water pot like a seed feeder which give me help when i am away from my cage three to five days

  • go home god help the birds

  • you are such an idiot

  • this video is supposed to teach me how to MAKE A BOX.... wow total advertising shit.

  • how can I prevent them from breeding , I don't want the house to be full of birds . u know

  • @mrA991s just don't put in a breeding box/nest. if you have a male and a female, they will still bond and preen but they won't ever lay eggs if they don't have a place to put them. :) please check out my videos! expertvillage is completely wrong!!!

  • Ha le ali tagliate l'ucccellino blu O.o

  • I used to used coconut-shell for my birds and they love it! Although, I did the hole for myself, so it is kind of small! :S

  • lolz im about to watch this vid and a mcdonald chicken nuget commercial comes on D:

  • what about the nest that looks like a log?

    will that work as well?

  • my bird layed an egg and its not sitting on it much

  • my other budgie chi-chi lookes like that but with more black stripes on its head!

  • This is the fat monkey chewbacca man that usually appears in reptile care videos!

  • im sorry but every video that you do is completely uninformative

  • did u cut its wings to avoid flying

  • man you are fuck

  • @robbinhood234 What?

  • that's my pet booger!

  • this didnt tell me anything in how to BUILD a nesting box.....

  • @tylerpianoman I agree. it just told us which boxes are avalable. I think they need to change the title so they don't confuse people. I watched it thinking that he would eventually show us how to make a box, but NOO. he never did. I don't think he knows anything about parakeets.

  • My budgies keep on chewing the nest boxes I buy for them and now I'm broke because I bought too much and I don't have the time to build one myself. Can anyone answer?

  • @LukeWifi buy cuttlebones, it will give them something else to chew on.. I remember one day I ran out of cuttlebones & my cockatiels destroyed a corner of their wooden nesting box.

  • @saliva555 Thanks.:)

  • @LukeWifi the only nestobx to use is the wooden nestbox the open wicker is a canary nest the covered one is a finch nest the dimensions need to be 6-8 inches tall and about 5 inches wide and 5 inches deep. Its called a parakeet nestbox. This will be suitable for American parakeets if they are English Budgies you need a LOVEBIRD nestbox

  • what if you make one out newspaper will they know its a nest?

  • this does not teach how to build a nest box. it teaches how to buy a ready made one..lol

  • that didn't really teach how to BUILD a nest but w/e atleast i know now wat nest i should buy....

  • my dad is going to make me one today happy

  • my budgie never loved me like that :(

  • Can't I just take out a coconut's filling and make a hole? O_O

  • Don't buy a nest. Budgies naturally nest in holes in trees. They need a box!

Also, you can't check on the babies if you have a covered nest. You need one where you can check on the babies, because if one dies, or an egg starts to rot, it can kill any of the other babies in the nest.

  • You actualy want to keep any dud eggs in the nest, it wont harm the babies and it gives them neck and body support as well as something to stop the momma bird from crushing the new baby.

  • @BreyerHorse10

Well, for a while yes. But when the babies are bigger, the dud eggs start to rot. The rotten eggs can seriously damage the babies, because the shell gets soft, and the fluid inside the egg can leak out.

  • OMG!!! the budgie u have is exactly the same lol

  • how long is to incubate their eggs

  • With mine, it takes about 2-3 days to lay, and then another week or so for the first egg to hatch.

  • How long whould it take to incubate the eggs

  • @030cun what is the best nest?

  • How can I remove these annoying tekst in front of the video!!!???

  • what a p**ck, why does most people that work in pet shops know nothing about animals, how the hell do they get the jobs. . . the first nest is for canaries, the second and third are for small finches ect. none of them are suitable for breeding budgies. . .!!

  • omg same cowincidence i had that 1 like u said but it flu away

  • I have the first next for my quail! He just likes to sit in it.

  • quick ? when u buy a parakeet nest r da male an female both supposed to fit in da nest box or just da female cuz my female parakeet fits in da hole but my male parakeet looks like it wants to go in but cant fit plz someone answer?

  • My female budgie Kiwi, I bought her a year and a half ago. She was perfect. And now she has missing toes, and her nails grow in a very wierd way, I try to trimm when they get to long. And her beak is crooked. Her top beak grows really long, I think it's too long for her to use the cuttle stone. It's probably dangerous to trim it. What can I do.

  • The box is too small and the basket is a finch nest and the first one you showed is a canary nest.

  • is the NEST THAT HAS A COVER ON IT better for the parakeets ?

  • my parakeet loves his nest. Its not wooden, it looks like that enclosed one he showed 2nd. I put it in at night when its time for him to sleep and take it out in the morning so he doesnt stay in it all day and be lazy and so he can get a decent amount of exercise :)

  • @amN0Tfat

i need help i have 2 budgie birds and a nest a pretty big one and i can't attach it inside the cage only if i open the cage's door and attach it there so they can get in.and they don't get in there what should i do ?please help

  • @tina123tina123 you need to cut wires out of the side to attach the nestbox to the cage. so the nestbox is mounted on the outside and not in the cage itself. Hang it by attaching it with 2 S shaped hooks on the top right and left corners so it hangs on the outside then see what wires need to be cut out so they can go in and out of it.

  • OMG!

the budgie on that guys hand looks exactly like my pet budgie (exept that my budgie is 3-5 months old)

  • @hodgeteRules Then its not exactly the same (-_-)

  • I'm so sure you could all do any better.

If the videos suck so bad, stop watching them. And no, parakeets don't NEED boxes for nests. They'll nest on the bare bottom of the cage if they want to.

  • yup thats what mine did they have six eggs hope atleast 3 or 4 make it

man my parakeets breed so much haha

  • i'm sorry but how does this teach us to 'build a nest box' for a budgie?

  • My budgie Chi-Chi looks EXCACTLY like the one he has except Chi-Chi's wing aren't clipped

  • i thought that this video was how to BUILD a nest box.

  • This is rubbish. If he's talking about breeding budgies he shouldn't go near that finch nest. Just the box, dude.

  • To share knowledge ...you first have to have some. The supposed advice given here is absolute rubbish.

  • i bought my parakeets a nest toy thingie from pets mart but they destroyed it

  • for nesting they need a hard wooden nest box with a sliding concave, and they will manage to chew THAT abit too, this video is rubbish, nothing is true in it at all, that guy needs a slap

  • Comment removed

  • Baskets are for finches and NO WAY for budgies or parakeets. No good knowledge imparted here. What a load of cr*p.

  • almost ALL "expert village" stuff is bollocks and total shyt! its never realy any experts or real advice ,just SHYT! AAAAHGGGHHHH

  • I am disgusted with the lack of knowledge. The first is for canaries and some finches. It is not well constructed and needs extra support. The second is for finches. The third is made for parakeets, lovebirds and many finches will build nests inside of them. I have yet to see a good video from "Idiot Village."

  • so true!! ,they're just a waste of space, rightful name "idiot village"!!

  • Why is this called "how to build a nest" when he is only showing us how to incorrectly purchase a nest? This was a waste of time. I'm sure this dude knows a lot about parakeets but this video makes him look like a jackass.

  • Parakeets and lovebirds would just chew the first two into toothpicks! Just goes to show you don't listen to pet stores, its all about the profit and not the animals.

  • The first two are for Finches, they are too small for Budgies. The last one is for Budgies, duhhh.

  • yeah those 1st two would be way too small for a budgie. what a douche.

  • The first two are for finches, NOT BUDGIES. This guy doesn't know what he is talking about! The last one is the only one made for Budgies.

  • Turn the box on the side and let the babies fall out when you do nest inspections. good idea

  • 1st viewer!

  • 1st

  • who gives a shit bitch!

  • wooo 4th lmfao ohh nd 43rd viewer waw.
