  • awsome vid its good how you explain your self and go into detail with thing that most other people do not

  • Great video but I have one question I didnt see you use the structo lite , What are you going to use it for ??

  • cool how many layers

  • @djscottdog1 I ussually try to make 2 layers on most area. If it's an area near the edge of the layout that might get bumped, I do 3 or 4 layers.

  • @myowngod2 ok thanks sir , your vidios have helped me so much , cant wait to build my own.

  • Would someone be able to use newspaper instead of paper towels?

  • @machinethis2002 I'm sure you could use newspaper. I never have in the past, but you could try. I always had good results with stronger papertowels, not the cheap, thin kind. LIKE i mentioned in the video, use the half sheet towels. They're easier to handle.

  • @myowngod2 i used news paper and wall paper paste on my old lay out

  • Excellent, nice video. Appreciate the way you take time and explain, looking forward to many more.

    Thanks

  • @frankb4449 Have you checked out my progress thread on another site. If not, go to my Youtube main page and check out the link in my info box. modelrailroadforums . com take out the spaces. It covers the layout from day 1 till now.

  • Excellent work.

  • i used a cardboard frame as u did... but no plaster... i used paper mache on my mountains...

looks good once u paint it too...

but i gess plaster is good to.

  • Does it eventually dry so that it doesnt show the cardboard skeleton behind it, or do you just have to keep putting layers down?

  • @Necrosaro420 No. Some areas will be covered with rock molds, so I don't worry about those areas. I'll put the Structolite material, I mention in the first video of this series, over the hard shell to smooth out any major divots or recesses. Structolite is similar to Sculptamold.

  • looks great, what a differance even with just the rough scenery

  • Looks great keep the videos coming!

  • it's really taking shape now.

    Nice work !

  • Was that brown paint you mixed with plaster of paris? If it is what is the mix ratio? Looking good, can't wait to see trees, bushes and out croupings.

  • @xrrtracks Sorry i just watched part #1 and you answered my ? about the paint mix.. :)

  • @xrrtracks No problem, I hope it helped you.

  • Great work! It's quite amazing to see how quickly a layout can come to life!

  • Turned out Great!

  • great work man how is the kit bashed station going

  • @TheCSXYARDMASTER Thanks the Reading Terminal building is on the back burn. I have so many projects going, I've lost track. I'm about to do a blitz kreig on my models. I have a lot of catching u to do. I hope to get many videos of them up as I go along.
