Sony Zeiss 24 and 50 1.8 lenses for the NEX camera system in 60 seconds

These lenses are too big. If Sony is to compete with m43 and the other mirrorless systems they need to make more compact primes. The CZ 24/1.8 I can understand. It's a premium high end lens that should not sacrifice optical quality for size, fine. But the 50/1.8 is gigantic. And the 30/3.5 macro is a joke. Too short for macro, too slow for normal. I really hope Sigma or Tamron have some common sense and bring out a tiny 30/2 like the Samsung 30/2 pancake and make some money off Sony's stupidity.

@CRANKYONE100 I was never absolutely blown away by the 7 due to AF speed, AF misses, flat looking file...but I do love the body. The IQ is good but very "Sony" like. If you like that look then you will LOVE the 7.

@stevehuff1969 C.mon man... we can read the specs. how about you give us a comparison in IQ, AF etc.. on both theses lenses.. I mean is that CZ worth the extra $700 for the just a wider angle or does it actually have better quality.

@ultraret I talked a ton about the 24 1.8 in my NEX-7 review at my website. My 50 1.8 review is up now there as well. The Zeiss is a wide angle, the 50 is not. Different lenses. The Zeiss is somewhat sharper but all depends on what your needs are in a lens.

@stevehuff1969 Steve, can you please give your opinion on weather the Canon 60D is a competitor at all to the nex7 as i really want an articulated screen for angles that most people don't get in photog. Lens choice is the one big advantage to 60D but other than that...from the prices i see on ebay a 60D goes for around 1k, so it's only slightly cheaper??..AND i want a tele lens(at least 200m) does sony make one for the nex??
